Fans are gearing up for the upcoming FIFA 16, with EA Sports promising a host of changes and additions to the new game that will set it apart from all the others released in the past. The developer had brought the game to this year's Gamescom to let the fans know a bit more about the upcoming game.

As a new FIFA comes every year, what new things can we expect this time? Here's a detailed look at all the changes and additions that were discussed about the game at this year's Gamescom event.

Detailed Pre-Season for Career Mode

In FIFA 16, players can participate in pre-season friendly tournaments. The pre-season friendly tournaments will allow players to travel through Asia, South America, North America or Europe prior to the start of the season.

The pre-season friendly tournaments are also a great way to add more money to your overall transfer kitty, so it's worth putting some effort into. The importance of the player's team will dictate the kind of tournament and opposition they will be invited to play against.

Changes to FIFA Ultimate Team

With the new changes that EA is set to add in FIFA 16's Ultimate Team feature, players are sure to gain more respect (if not fear) from their opponents. For the year, FIFA will display any special and/or rare players in your team prior to kick off.

And, as you may have already found out by now, the legends for the year comprise some well-known giants from yesteryear, including George Best, Deco, Gennaro Ivan Gattuso, Javier Zanetti and more.

Unique FIFA Ultimate Team Commentary

In FIFA 16, new commentary will be included and it will be unique to the FIFA Ultimate Team mode. The idea here is to enhance the overall player experience and give a sense of purpose with real and important players in their squads.

In fact, there are entire storylines that have been promised for a list of hand-picked stars and the storylines will be brought to light via the commentary whenever that certain player is involved. As expected, FIFA 16 will maintain its healthy commentary duo of Martin Tyler and Alan Smith.

Women's Team Addition

This is one of the newly-added features that received mixed reactions when EA announced it for the new FIFA. But as it stands, there will be as many as 12 national teams from the women's game that will be included in FIFA 16, with all of them officially licensed.

Apart from that, there are over 100 facial scans that have been obtained from some of the game's most famous stars, including those involved in this year's FIFA Women's World Cup.

Female players will be assigned their own ratings separately, although don't expect to pick a game where the male players will face the females in a game of footie.

Extensive Career Mode Training

This Career Mode Training feature has been impending for a long time. In FIFA 16, fans will finally get the option to train their squad players and improve their overall ratings. There will be mini games that will help players enhance their attributes in relation to the base statistics.

While training players will help raise their value in the team, the effect of it will be amplified for the youngsters and up-and-coming players in the squad since they carry the most potential to grow.

FUT Draft Mode

There's a new Draft Mode that's been showcased for FIFA 16 and this will assist fans who don't really have the time (or patience) to build a team for the entire season. The Draft mode gives fans an overview of the most iconic players to have graced the game. The players include Ronaldo, Suarez, Messi and more.

When fans kick off the Draft mode, they will be offered a selection of players for each of the positions, which is a great opportunity to build a dream team, minus the time spent over it. Once the first 11 and a set of substitutes have been selected, the player will be ready.

For the Draft mode, fans can even play a cooperative game with a friend, where both of them can pick a team before setting out to conquer the FUT world.

More Wild Celebrations

We simply don't want to score a goal. We want to score a goal and then celebrate it in the grandest ways possible. As far as celebrations in FIFA 16 are concerned, players, after scoring a goal, can dash towards the subs bench and celebrate with a squad player who's not necessarily involved with the starting 11.

Apart from that, players can also score a goal and run towards the pitch-side camera and perform a Steven Gerrard or Gareth Bale-like "kiss the camera" celebration. For each of the celebrations, the perspectives will keep changing.
