Lost Ark Rapport Guide: Best NPCs, Gifts, and Rewards
One of the many types of quests your Lost Ark hero can undertake are Report quests, But what are they exactly? And which NPC should you spend your time wooing and buying Lost Ark gifts for? What is Rapport in Lost Ark? How can you build relationships with certain NPCs? Here is an overview of everything you must know.
While the beautiful world of Arkesia is full of NPCs, some among Lost Ark's extensive roster are constructed differently.
Whether you're looking to become Queen of Luterra by getting close to Thirain or befriending Nineveh, one of the Sidereals who ended the game's dramatic Chain War, there's a whole collection of characters you can bond with on your travels.
What is Rapport in Lost Ark?
In our non-virtual world, Rapport is defined as "a close and harmonious relationship in which the people or groups involved understand each other's feelings or ideas and communicate well" – and the same is true at Arkesia.
Players can build relationships with different NPCs to receive unique rewards, greetings, conversations, etc. Keep in mind that it's expensive both in terms of money and time, so it's best to choose a character and stick with it.
Report quests are marked with a pink exclamation point (!) and become available for each new Report level you reach.

As in any relationship, things come in stages. The report levels are divided into five different levels, each subdivided into different levels:

You can use ALT-N to check your Report status and NPCs you can bond with.
How to Create a Report: Gifts, Songs, and Emoticons?
Arkesia is a fairly traditional place, so chivalry reigns supreme. Court your future friends with gifts, songs, and emotes to win their hearts.
Of these three different methods, gifts are the best way to start farming Rapport quickly. They can be:
- Purchased from Gift Vendors in all major cities by trading Providence Stones
- Bought from street vendors
- Purchased via Mari's Secret Shop
- Obtained from Login Rewards
- A reward for completing Island Quests
- Sometimes fall to complete Prerequisite for Adventurer's Tome.
Below are all the different types of gifts, along with the amount of Report XP they earn you:

You'll find only two exceptions to this rule:
- Encavian Crown : 5,000 XP to female NPCs
- Crystal Necklace : 5,000 XP to male NPCs
Best NPCs to Bond Within Lost Ark
While there is an endless supply of Rapport characters in Lost Ark, some are just worth a little more of your time than others.
Beatrice, Blue-Eyed Calvasus, Nineveh, and Ash are some of the most important, but we've added more below to help you complete your Adventurer's Tome and earn some cash.
