There are many currencies used in the game, but the main currency is money, which is rewarded by Quests, used to trade and to buy from local merchants. Gold can also be purchased via NCoin through the currency exchange market in-game. It is divided in Gold, Silver and Copper units: 1Gold is worth 100Silver and 1Silver is worth 100Copper.

No.1 What is the Currency Exchange?

The Currency Exchange offers a safe and secure way for players to exchange NCoin for in-game gold, and sell gold for Hongmoon Coin.

 

No.2 How do I use the Currency Exchange?

You can use the Currency Exchange, as long as you’re level 16 or higher, by pressing the F9 key.

 

If you’re looking to sell your gold, simply click on the “Sales Registration” tab on the right of the Currency Exchange window. Fill in the amount of gold you wish to sell along with the price of the Hongmoon Coin you want to sell your gold for. You will only be able to sell your gold within the minimum and maximum price listed, which is explained in more detail below.

 

Listing gold for sale has the following limitations:

  • Up to 1,000 gold per listing
  • 10 simultaneous listings
  • 10 listings per day – 100 for Premium Members

Once your gold is listed for sale, wait for someone to purchase your gold and you’ll receive the Hongmoon Coin immediately with a receipt in your mail.

To use your NCoin to purchase gold, look at the available offers in the Buy Gold tab and click purchase on the one you want. It’s that easy! There is no limitation to the amount of gold you can purchase per day (other than what other players have listed).

 

To break it down more simply, the flow of the Currency Exchange works like this:

 

Gold put up for sale by Player A -> Gold purchased with NCoin by Player B -> Hongmoon Coin equivalent (minus 10% transaction fee) delivered to Player A

 

No.3 What are the fees when using the Currency Exchange?

If you are purchasinggold on the Currency Exchange there will be no fee for you. However, if you are selling gold, there is a 10% transaction fee on the received Hongmoon Coin.

 

No.4 How is the rate determined?

The Currency Exchange determines the Standard Rate by averaging the price of the completed transactions for the past 7 days. This means the rate is determined solely on how players sell and purchase gold using the Currency Exchange.

 

You can list your gold within plus or minus 50% of the current Standard Rate, rounded to the nearest whole number. For example, if the Standard Rate is 1:3 (1 gold for 3 NCoin), then you would be able to list your gold anywhere from 1:1 to 1:4. This allows the Standard Rate to move based on the economy. 

 

There are many reasons why the currency exchange ratio keep dropping, I will list some down which as follow:

 

No.1 No intervention from third party cause it benefits them

This will force all free players to open their wallet to buy outfits, upgrade materials, pets etc while boosting the third party income. So why they need to intervene?

 

No.2 Celestial Basin Event contributes the most for this

All players are farming wild ginseng and sell it to buy hmcoins for trove keys. Even whales farm it so why they need to buy gold from F9 again?

 

No.3 Whales and gold sellers spamming 1 gold in F9

They want to buy cheap gold so they will keep pushing it down from 1:4 into 1:1 ratio like in taiwan server. So if they got 10k ncoins they can obtain 10k gold instead of 2.5k gold from selling it in F9.

 

No.4 Spring Trove loot table not so tempting

Most whales already max their gears from previous trove and the critical rate for current trove is lower than before. You can see why the price of moonstone, SPTS, sealed sacred oils and many more didnt drop by 50% like late winter trove.

 

No.5 Real money > In Game gold

This is common in all MMO games in which real money is more valuable so it will keep pushing the gold ratio down.
