Diablo 4 Season 14 gives endgame players another reason to keep farming with the arrival of Iconic Mythics. These rare Diablo 4 items cannot be crafted with Pandemonium Fragments. They can only be obtained through natural drops or by using 2 Resplendent Sparks at the Blacksmith, making the decision over which Mythic to chase more important than ever.

Not every Iconic Mythic has the same value. Some are powerful across multiple builds, while others only become worthwhile when paired with a specific setup. The current meta also includes several Mythics that have been nerfed but remain useful.

Iconic Mythic Tier List

T0: The Grandfather

The Grandfather remains one of the best Iconic Mythics to chase in Season 14. Its combination of weapon power and critical damage makes it particularly valuable for high-end damage builds.

Barbarians are among the biggest beneficiaries, especially when their setup is built around critical strikes and weapon scaling. The Grandfather is also attractive for players pushing high Pit tiers, where raw damage can make a major difference.

Verdict: Still one of the best Mythic weapons in the game and a top priority for compatible builds.

T0: El’Druin, Sword of Justice

El’Druin, Sword of Justice joins The Grandfather in the top tier because of its potential to become a core part of optimized weapon builds.

Its value depends more heavily on the build than Harlequin Crest, but players who can fully utilize its effects can gain a major endgame upgrade.

Verdict: A premium weapon and one of the most valuable Iconic targets for the right build.

T1: Harlequin Crest

For players who want a Mythic that works almost everywhere, Harlequin Crest remains one of the safest choices.

Its defensive value and general utility make it useful across different classes and builds. It is especially valuable for players who regularly change builds instead of committing to a single setup.

Verdict: The best universal choice for players who prioritize flexibility.

T1: Ring of Starless Skies

Ring of Starless Skies is another strong all-around option, particularly for resource-heavy builds.

Better resource management can translate into more frequent skill usage, smoother rotations, and higher sustained damage. This makes the ring especially useful for builds that rely on constantly casting their main abilities.

Verdict: An excellent choice for resource-dependent endgame builds.

T2 Mythics

Melted Heart of Selig is primarily a defensive option. It becomes more valuable when survivability is the main problem, especially during difficult Pit pushes.

Tyrael’s Might remains a reliable defensive Mythic for players who need stronger survivability without completely sacrificing offensive potential.

Shroud of False Death is more specialized. It can be extremely effective in the right build but does not offer the same universal value as Harlequin Crest.

Andariel’s Visage and Doombringer are also worth keeping when their effects match your build, but neither should generally be the first Mythic most players chase.

Heir of Perdition: Still Worth Using?

Heir of Perdition has fallen significantly after its damage bonus was reduced from 80% to 15%.

That nerf makes it much harder to recommend as a first-choice Mythic. However, players who already own one should not automatically replace it. It can still provide value in compatible offensive setups.

Verdict: Nerfed heavily, but not completely obsolete.

How to Farm Iconic Mythics

For players actively hunting these items, Corrupted Reaper and Belial are among the most important farming targets.

The best approach is to maintain a consistent key and Fragment farming loop rather than spending everything on isolated attempts. Pandemonium Fragments should be used carefully because they cannot directly craft an Iconic Mythic.

The Blacksmith option requires 2 Resplendent Sparks and produces a random Iconic Mythic. It can be worthwhile when you already have several Sparks, but it is not ideal if you desperately need one specific item.

One important change is that players are no longer restricted by the old one self-crafted Mythic limitation. Naturally dropped Iconics can be used freely, giving players more freedom when assembling their final builds.

For most Season 14 players, the priority is straightforward:

The Grandfather and El’Druin are the biggest chase items, followed by Harlequin Crest and Ring of Starless Skies as the strongest universal options.

Defensive Mythics such as Tyrael’s Might and Melted Heart of Selig become more valuable for difficult Pit content, while specialized items should be judged according to the build.

With Season 15 on the horizon, the meta could change again, so the smartest strategy is to prioritize the Mythic that directly improves your current build rather than simply chasing the rarest item.
