The Takashiro Treasure Hunt is part of the Autumn Festival Playlist in Forza Horizon 6, running from October 15 to October 22, 2026. This week's challenge is straightforward once you know where to look, but the treasure chest is tucked away in tall grass rather than beside an obvious landmark.
You can find it in eastern Takashiro, southeast of Soni Circuit. Breaking the chest rewards you with 100,000 CR, 5,000 XP, and three Season Progress points, making it a worthwhile stop if you're working toward the current Festival Playlist rewards.

Takashiro Treasure Hunt Location
The treasure chest is hidden in a small, unmarked rest area surrounded by tall pampas grass, next to a pond in the eastern part of Takashiro.
Use these landmarks to find the right spot:
The pond is the easiest visual clue to follow. On the map, look for a brown patch representing the pond and surrounding grass. The chest is close to this area, so you don't need to search the entire region.
Open the world map and find Soni Circuit in Takashiro, south of the snow-covered Sotoyama region. Use the circuit as your starting point rather than driving around the countryside at random.
Approach the circuit entrance while traveling from west to east. After passing the entrance, turn right onto the winding road.
Take the next left toward the fields of tall pampas grass. This turn takes you away from the main road and toward the small rest area where the chest is hidden.
As you enter the grassy area, watch the left side of the road. Look for a small pond and an open rest area surrounded by tall grass.
The location isn't marked as a major destination, so it's easy to drive past if you're moving too quickly. If you can't see the chest immediately, check the map again and use the pond to narrow down your search.
Once you find the chest, drive into it to break it and complete the Treasure Hunt. You don't need to win a race or use a particular car.
Check the Festival Playlist afterward to confirm that the challenge has registered and the rewards have been credited.
Takashiro Treasure Hunt Rewards
Completing the challenge provides three rewards:
| Reward | Amount |
| Credits | 100,000 CR |
| Experience | 5,000 XP |
| Season Progress | 3 points |
The Forza Horizon 6 Credits are useful for buying cars and paying for upgrades, while the XP contributes to your overall progression. The three Season Progress points are particularly valuable if you're trying to unlock the current seasonal cars.
During the October 15–22 Autumn season, the Festival Playlist offers the following car rewards:
20 points: 2018 DeBerti Ford Mustang GT
40 points: 2010 Nissan 370Z
If you're close to either milestone, completing the Treasure Hunt is an easy way to add three points without committing to a full championship.
Tips for Completing the Challenge Quickly
Use the pond as your reference point. The grassy area is easy to overlook, but the pond makes the location much easier to identify on the map.
Follow the road before entering the fields. Starting at Soni Circuit gives you a clear route. Turning toward the pampas grass at the correct junction is more reliable than searching randomly.
Check your Festival Playlist progress. Make sure the Takashiro Treasure Hunt is active and hasn't already been completed. Seasonal challenges change, so this location may no longer apply after October 22.
Combine it with other seasonal activities. If you're aiming for the 40-point Nissan 370Z reward, use the Treasure Hunt alongside daily challenges, races, and other available events to build your total.
Is the Takashiro Treasure Hunt Worth Completing?
Yes. The challenge offers a useful combination of credits, XP, and seasonal progress for relatively little effort. You don't need a special build, a high-performance car, or a difficult race victory to claim the rewards.
The key is knowing where to search. Head southeast of Soni Circuit, follow the winding road into the tall pampas grass, and look for the rest area beside the small pond. Once you reach the correct spot, simply smash the chest to finish the challenge.
For players working through the current Festival Playlist, it's a quick activity worth completing before the Autumn season ends.
