MS Classic World Halloween Guide: Candies and Pumpkin Basket

The Halloween event in MapleStory Classic World gives players a chance to collect special candies and earn a permanent Pumpkin Basket. Players can complete quests, hunt monsters, and collect useful rewards while exploring familiar maps. Halloween Event Details

To begin, find Malady in Henesys or Kerning City and speak with her about the Halloween event. She will explain the candy collection task and how to obtain the Pumpkin Basket. Make sure you read each quest instruction before leaving town, as completing the required steps in order helps avoid unnecessary trips.

How to Collect Halloween Candies

Malady asks you to collect 100 Halloween Candies from monsters that are Level 10 or higher. Monsters listed for this task include Ribbon Pigs, Dark Stumps, Octopuses, and Green Mushrooms. Hunt in areas where these monsters appear and collect the required amount before returning to Malady.

After handing in the candies, follow the next quest instructions. You will need to deliver three pouches as part of the follow-up task. Read the dialogue carefully so you know where to take each pouch and what to do next.

Find the Children and Complete the Quest

The next part of the event involves finding three children. Malady provides clues that point toward locations such as a dark tunnel, an open field, and high ground. Use these hints to search the surrounding areas rather than checking every map at random.

Once you have found the children and completed all three deliveries, return to Malady to finish the quest. If the reward does not appear, check whether every delivery has been completed and whether you have spoken to Malady again.

Hunt Orange Slimes for More Candies

Orange Slimes can be found in areas including Henesys, Ellinia, Kerning City, and Perion. Hunting them can provide additional Halloween Candies and colored recovery candies. Drops are not guaranteed, so you may need to defeat several monsters before getting the items you want.

Keep your quest candies separate from the colored recovery candies. The two types serve different purposes, and collecting recovery items does not replace the 100 Halloween Candies required for Malady’s quest.

Halloween Candy Types and Effects

Colored candies can be useful when training or completing other activities. Check the item descriptions in-game for their current restrictions before trading or storing them.

Pumpkin Basket Stats and Upgrade Slots

The Pumpkin Basket is the main reward for completing the event quest. It is a one-handed sword with a permanent duration, making it an item worth keeping after the Halloween event ends.

Combine Halloween Hunting With Daily Check-Ins

If The Journey Begins event is still active for your character, you can also collect 30 Maple Leaves from monsters Level 10 or higher and hand them in to the Maple Administrator. The daily reward can be claimed once per account, so check your account’s progress before repeating the task on another character.

Because Halloween Candies and Maple Leaves are separate objectives, a monster may not drop both items at the same time. Collect them as you hunt, but check your quest counters to make sure you have reached the required amounts.
