POE 3.27 Phrecia 2.0: Pure Bubblegum Currency Strategy

Just steady, reliable currency flowing in while I zone out to some music. That's what this Pure Bubblegum setup in Jungle Valley has been for me during the Phrecia 2.0 event. It's not going to make you rich overnight, but over a session it piles up those alchs, fusings, chromes, vaals, and all the other "bubblegum" stuff that keeps your mapping going and sells in bulk for real divines.

I stumbled back into this after watching a few streams early in the event. Phrecia brings back some wild ascendancy twists, but the core map juicing with eldritch altars hasn't changed much. Jungle Valley just feels right for it—linear path, quick clear, and altars pop in predictable spots. I ran about 80 maps testing tweaks, and the numbers held up. Anyone with a decent clearer can replicate this without much headache.

Here's a typical Jungle Valley layout. You start at one end, sweep straight through, hit the boss quick if you want, then backtrack for altars. No dead ends, no getting lost. That's why I stick with it over something more open like Strand.

Why Jungle Valley Over Other Maps?

A lot of people ask why not City Square or Dunes. Fair question. City Square has multiple bosses for more loot explosions, but the layout can feel choppy if your build isn't perfect AoE. Dunes is open, sure, but mobs spread out and altars sometimes spawn in awkward corners.

Jungle Valley wins for me because it's predictable. The path funnels monsters naturally, so when you stack quantity from altars, everything clusters nicely. Boss is fast—usually two phases and done. And in Phrecia, with the idol mechanics floating around, the linear run lets you decide on the fly whether to chase side content or just blast altars.

I tried alternating with Basilica for a bit, thinking the open arena would give more altar choices. It did, sometimes, but clear speed dropped and I died more to off-screen stuff. Switched back after 20 maps. Consistency beats occasional big hits, especially when you're farming for volume.

Atlas Tree – Keeping It Focused

I don't go full Wandering Path anymore. That node's great early league, but mid-event with scarab prices stabilizing, I prefer targeted nodes that boost eldritch influence and basic currency drops.

Key picks for me:

  • All the Eater/Exarch quantity and influence nodes. You want as many altars as possible.
  • Domination shrines for extra pack size.
  • Stream of Consciousness to ignore the small nodes I skip.
  • Singular Focus to lock into Jungle Valley for sustain.
  • A couple points in strongboxes because I run ambush scarabs.

Nothing too fancy. I avoid heavy mechanic nodes like Harvest or Essence because they slow the rhythm. This is pure altar clicking.

Here's a rough breakdown of the important clusters:

Node ClusterWhy I Take ItPoints Spent
Eldritch InfluenceMore altars, better downsides/upside ratios, direct currency duplication8-10
Shrine DominationShrines spawn packed mobs, easy quantity boost4
Map Modifier EffectMakes 8-mod rolls juicier without killing clear speed3
Strongbox AmbushExtra packs, more altar triggers5
Map Sustain (Singular Focus)Locks Jungle Valley, no chiseling other maps5

This tree got me self-sustaining after about 30 maps. Scarabs and chisels pay for themselves through raw drops.

Scarabs, Sextants, and Map Rolling

I keep it simple on investment. No four-scarab juicing unless I'm feeling rich.

Standard setup:

  • 2x Ambush (strongboxes for pack size)
  • 1x Domination (shrines)
  • 1x Influence (guaranteed eater/exarch)

Roll maps for 80+ quantity, reflect immune if possible, and as many mods as your build handles. I go up to 8 mods comfortably on my current clearer.

Sextants: Quant, extra shrines, extra strongboxes. The "monsters drop additional currency" one when it's cheap.

Cost per map ends up around 15-20c once you're rolling. Returns more than cover it.

Build Requirements – What Actually Works

You don't need a mirror-tier build. Mine's a mid-budget Herald of Agony crawler that I carried over from last event. Key is speed and survival.

Needs:

  • Decent clear (screen-wide preferably)
  • Capped ele resists + some chaos
  • Good movement skill
  • Enough damage to one-shot packs on T16 8-mod

I've seen people do this on RF, minions, even cyclone. As long as you don't die clicking altars, you're fine.

If you're starting fresh and need quick currency to gear up, I've had good experiences grabbing bulk orbs from U4GM.com. They usually have competitive rates on POE 3.27 currency, and delivery's fast enough that it doesn't kill the vibe.

My Test Runs – The Numbers

I tracked 50 consecutive maps the other night. No cherry-picking, just straight runs.

Average time per map: 4-5 minutes including rolling and selling.

Raw bubblegum currency (alchs, fusings, chromes, scours, vaals, etc.): Easily 300-400 per map after good altar chains.

Divines: 6-8 direct drops + sales from bulk.

Stacked decks and other sellables: Another 5-10 div equivalent.

Total per hour: Around 25-30 div in value, mostly from selling stacks.

Best map was a double duplication altar chain—basic currency duplicated twice, plus eater ichors raining. Felt ridiculous.

Got a crazy eldritch altar combo that made it rain divines

This is what you're chasing. Not every map, but enough to keep it exciting.

Worst streak was five maps with trash downsides and no good upsides. Still broke even on scarabs.

Anyone can reproduce this: Favorite Jungle Valley, spec the tree I mentioned, buy 50 scarabs, go. You'll see similar results unless the market crashes hard.

Exclusive Tip – Altar Decision Chain

Here's something I haven't seen many talk about in Phrecia specifically. Because idols mess with mob behavior sometimes, I prioritize eater altars that give "increased effect of modifiers on monsters" early in the map. It makes later exarch altars hit harder on quantity.

Sequence I use:

  1. First altar: Always take quantity or pack size if offered.
  2. Second: Currency duplication if possible.
  3. Third onward: Skip anything that adds too much damage taken.
  4. Save one click for near boss if possible—boss rush then backtrack.

This chain gave me the most consistent volume across my tests.

Wrapping It Up

Look, Phrecia 2.0 isn't the craziest event we've had, but this altar Jungle Valley setup feels like comfort food. Steady income, low stress, and you can scale it up if scarab prices drop. It's not the sexiest strategy—nobody's posting mirror drops from it—but when I log off with another 100 div in the stash from a chill evening, I can't complain.

If you're burning out on pinnacle bosses or chasing new idols, give this a shot. Clear a few maps exactly like I described and you'll feel the rhythm. Steady wins the league for me, every time.

Happy farming, exiles. See you in the Valley.
