If you've ever been in a match thinking, “Man, if only I could yeet myself up there”, the Jump Pad is your new best friend. It's a free utility that lets you bounce to high places or mess with enemy movement. Here's exactly how to unlock it, where to place it, and how to use it without handing your enemies a free elevator.

How to Unlock the Jump Pad

You don't need Keys or Robux—just a little exploring.

Step-by-Step Unlock:

  1. Find 9 Jump Shards hidden around the lobby and various maps.
  2. Collect them all (you can track your progress in your inventory menu).
  3. Once you've got all 9, the Jump Pad will automatically unlock in your loadout.

Tip: The Jump Shards don't move, so once you know their locations, it's a quick grab on new accounts.

If you don't feel like hunting down all the shards yourself, you can always look for Roblox Rivals items for sale to get geared up faster.

Roblox Rivals – All Jump Shard Locations

You need 9 Jump Shards total to unlock the Jump Pad in Roblox Rivals. These shards are always in the same spots, so once you know the route, you can grab them in a single lobby rotation.

Lobby (3 Shards)

Top of the Lobby Tower
From spawn, look for the tallest central building. Use the stairs, ramps, or any bounce pads in the lobby to reach the roof. The shard is on the very top platform.

Under the Spawn Bridge
Head to the bridge right near where players load in. Drop down underneath—it's sitting on a small ledge.

Behind the Leaderboard Screen
Find the big scoreboard in the lobby. Go behind it and you'll see the shard tucked in the corner.

Arena Map (2 Shards)

On the Center Pillar
Spawn into Arena and head for the middle pillar. Use a high jump, ladder, or nearby boost spot to get on top. The shard is right there.

Inside the Shipping Container
Go to the cluster of containers on one side of the map. The shard is inside a container with one door open.

Docks Map (2 Shards)

End of the Crane Arm
Look for the large yellow crane. Climb up and walk along the arm—it's right at the tip.

Boat Roof
Head to the docked ship. Climb the ladder to the roof of the captain's cabin—the shard is sitting on top.

Factory Map (2 Shards)

Top of the Stacked Pipes
Inside Factory, find the huge stack of metal pipes. Jump across from the nearby scaffolding to reach it.

Ceiling Beam
Look up for the big horizontal beam across the main room. You'll need a bounce pad or wall climb to get up there.

Speedrun Tips

Grab the three lobby shards first before queueing for matches. Then rotate Arena → Docks → Factory to collect the rest.
If you get these maps in your first few matches, you can unlock the Jump Pad in under 10 minutes.

How the Jump Pad Works

Think of it as a portable springboard. Anyone—you, teammates, or enemies—can jump on it.

  • Mobility: Reach places a normal jump can't, like containers, short rooftops, or ledges.
  • Defense: Force enemies into awkward jumps with reduced air control, making them easier targets.

Best Placement Spots

Here's what's worked best for me (and other sweaty players):

For Movement

  • Under a wall or high ledge for instant access.
  • On a wall to combo with Fists, Daggers, or Bow for insane vertical boosts (double-jump right after the bounce).
  • In small maps like Arena—huge payoff, zero travel time.

For Defense

  • Sideways in a doorway to disrupt enemy entry.
  • On ladders to completely deny climbing.
  • At choke points to make attackers hang in the air like target practice.
