Top 5 Best Classes to Dominate Season 1 in Black Ops 7

Released mid-November 2025, Treyarch and Raven’s latest title immediately set a new bar: even smoother omnimovement, high-intensity maps, razor-sharp gunplay, and a Season 1 that delivered new weapons, balance changes, and modes that truly shake things up.

I’ve logged hundreds of hours in multiplayer—mostly ranked, but also public matches and private lobbies with friends. I’ve tracked my stats, compared performance across maps, and tested dozens of attachment combinations. This top 5 isn’t copied from raw stat sites; it’s my personal take, built from what actually works when you’re playing aggressive, holding an objective, or covering sightlines.

The Season 1 meta is pretty diverse: SMGs still rule close-to-mid range, but a few classic ARs have stormed back thanks to recent buffs. Mobility and stealth perks remain dominant. Here’s my ranking, from 5 to 1, with full loadouts, the specific reasons each earned its spot, and most importantly—how to play them to get the most out of them.

5. PPSh-41 – The unforgiving close-range shredder

The PPSh came back in Season 1 with a quiet buff to its close-range TTK. It fires at an insane rate, and once you master the recoil, it mows people down.

I ran this class for a 15-game Domination streak on Neon Tokyo. Results: averaging 28 kills per game, routinely hitting 2.0+ KD when I stayed inside central buildings. It shines when you’re slide-canceling and jumping around corners.

How to play it: Stay glued to walls, pre-aim corners, chain slides to catch enemies off guard. On more open maps, quick-switch to akimbo pistols to finish weakened targets. This is a pure rush class—not built for camping.

4. CR-56 AMAX – The mid-range king is back

The AMAX got a damage buff in Season 1 that puts it firmly back in the meta. It hits hard, recoil is predictable, and it wins almost every duel at 30-40 meters.

I did a 25-game Search & Destroy session with this setup. Top fragged 18 times, regularly hitting 10-12 kill streaks. The key is attachments that tame vertical recoil.

How to play it: Hold medium sightlines, pre-load corners, use smoke to push or cover a plant. In ranked, it’s perfect for anchoring a site without overexposing yourself.

3. FFAR 1 – The versatile bullet hose

The FFAR made a strong comeback in Season 1. High fire rate, solid damage, and excellent mobility. It’s the gun that forgives aim mistakes thanks to sheer volume of fire.

Over a 20-game Hardpoint night, I averaged 1.8 KD with several near-nukes. It dominates hot objectives where movement is constant

How to play it: Hipfire while sprinting, constant strafing, use C4 to clear rooms fast. Perfect for aggressive flankers.

2. KSV – The undisputed close-combat queen

The KSV has dominated since launch, and Season 1 didn’t change that. Best TTK under 15 meters, perfect mobility, and easy-to-control recoil.

I climbed two full ranks using only this class (30 games, 2.3 KD). On maps like Stakeout or Skyline, it feels almost unfair.

How to play it: Slide, jump, dive into buildings. Pre-aim low for rising headshots. Ghost + Ninja = invisible to UAVs.

1. LC10 – The outright best gun of Season 1

For me, the LC10 is hands-down the most complete weapon right now. Excellent TTK, almost no recoil, SMG mobility with AR range. It wins nearly every gunfight.

I ran a mixed 40-game stretch (Domination, Hardpoint, ranked): 2.6 average KD, 60% win rate. It performs on virtually every Season 1 map.

Quick tip for faster grinding

If you want to unlock all camos, level weapons quickly, or just enjoy the game without constant sweat, I know a lot of players use bot lobbies. I personally tried the service on U4GM.com for BO7 bot lobbies—it’s fast, discreet, and makes farming challenges way easier when you’re short on time. Up to you, but it definitely helps.

That’s my top 5. The meta shifts fast—one patch can flip everything—but as of right now in Season 1, these are the classes that have given me the best results. Try them out, tweak them to your playstyle, and let me know in the comments which one you like best. See you in the lobby!
