MW4 DMZ Door Breacher Charge: How to Get and Craft

The Door Breacher Charge is an Ultra-rarity Consumable in CoD MW4 DMZ. Available through the DMZ progression system and the 3D Printer, this single-use item allows Operators to breach secured doors on Hajin without relying on the corresponding key. However, obtaining additional charges requires the right recipe and several high-value crafting ingredients.

For players building a reliable collection of CoD MW4 DMZ Items, the Door Breacher Charge is worth understanding early. Its value comes from access rather than direct combat power, making it useful when a secured room offers worthwhile loot or supports a specific deployment objective. Since the charge requires specialized ingredients to craft, knowing how to unlock its recipe and manage materials can help you prepare more efficiently.

Understanding its unlock requirements, material costs, and inventory limitations can help you decide when to use a charge and when it is worth saving one for a more valuable deployment.

What Is the Door Breacher Charge?

The Door Breacher Charge belongs to the Consumables category in the FOB 3D Printer. Unlike ordinary healing items or performance-enhancing consumables, it serves a specific purpose: opening secured doors that would otherwise require a key or another access method.

How to Unlock and Obtain Door Breacher Charge

There are three confirmed acquisition paths, each serving a different purpose. Reaching the required player level can award a finished charge, finding and extracting the recipe unlocks the crafting option, and printing additional charges requires the necessary ingredients.

Acquisition methodRewardImportant details
Reach DMZ Player Level 62One Door Breacher ChargeProgression reward; does not automatically unlock the printer recipe
Find the recipe and extract successfullyPrinter recipe unlockUltra recipes must be found in-game; extracted recipes also reward 5,000 DMZ Cash
Craft through the 3D PrinterAdditional chargesRequires Experimental Compound, Stock Rods, and Volatile Explosives

The 3D Printer itself unlocks at DMZ Player Level 2. Once an individual Consumable recipe has been unlocked, its crafting option becomes available in the corresponding printer category.

DMZ progression runs from Level 1 to Level 70 and is separate from the standard Level 1–55 Multiplayer progression track. To advance your DMZ level, you must earn DMZ XP through activity in DMZ. XP earned in Multiplayer or Warzone does not increase your DMZ Player Level.

Door Breacher Charge Crafting Recipe

After unlocking the recipe, you can print additional charges using the following materials:

IngredientQuantityTier and availability
Experimental Compound1Scarce Ultra-tier ingredient; unavailable through basic-resource printing
Stock Rod5Rare 3D Printer Ingredient
Volatile Explosives3Epic Ingredient; printable after unlocking Epic Ingredient Printing

Unlike many lower-tier printer recipes, the Door Breacher Charge requires no basic Synthetics, Electronics, Chemicals, or Metals. Its entire crafting cost consists of specialized Ingredients, making material preparation an important part of the process.

Where to Find the Required Ingredients

Each ingredient has a different acquisition route, so collecting everything may take more than one deployment.

IngredientHow to obtain it
Experimental CompoundObtain through loot and Commander-linked Ultra materials; no basic-resource printer recipe is available
Stock RodFind it as field loot; DMZ Level 51 also awards 2 Stock Rods
Volatile ExplosivesCollect through loot or print them after unlocking Epic Ingredient Printing
Nitro CompoundsFind them as Rare Ingredients; DMZ Level 47 awards Nitro Compounds

Printing Volatile Explosives requires 100 Chemicals and 3 Nitro Compounds per unit. Since the Door Breacher Charge needs 3 Volatile Explosives, printing all three requires a total of 300 Chemicals and 9 Nitro Compounds, in addition to the Experimental Compound and 5 Stock Rods.

To unlock Epic Ingredient Printing, open the Upgrades tab and spend 100,000 DMZ Cash, 10 Binding Catalysts, 10 Printed Circuit Boards, and 5 Military Composites. Without this upgrade, Volatile Explosives must be obtained as extraction loot rather than printed.

Experimental Compound remains the main bottleneck because it is not included in the printable Uncommon and Epic ingredient lists. Even with Epic Ingredient Printing unlocked, you still need to acquire this Ultra-tier material separately.

How to Use Door Breacher Charge in a Match

Carry the charge into a deployment and use it on a secured door that would otherwise require its matching key or another access method. The charge is consumed when used, so it is best reserved for doors that provide meaningful access to loot, objectives, or valuable locations.

Secured rooms, armories, and named key locations across Hajin are the types of areas where this Consumable can be useful. Before spending one, consider the value of the room and whether you have another way to enter.

Keys remain a separate part of the DMZ loot system. For example, a Lieutenant who does not drop a signature weapon may still carry a key to a named room where that weapon can appear. The Door Breacher Charge offers an alternative for accessing secured doors, but it does not eliminate the wider key economy or guarantee specific loot.

Door Breacher Charge vs Other Printable Equipment

The Door Breacher Charge differs from conventional explosives in both function and crafting cost.

Drill ChargeLethal15 Chemicals, 15 MetalsSeparate Lethals category and recipe unlock
ThermiteLethal10 Chemicals, 10 MetalsPrinter recipe at DMZ Level 41
C4Lethal10 Chemicals, 10 MetalsLethal-slot explosive

Drill Charge, Thermite, and C4 use the Lethal equipment slot and rely on common Resource printing. Door Breacher Charge is a single-use Consumable that requires Ultra-rarity materials instead.

This makes the charge a specialized access tool rather than a direct replacement for combat explosives. If your priority is dealing damage, conventional Lethals are more appropriate. If a secured door blocks a valuable destination, the Door Breacher Charge may justify its higher crafting cost.

Stash Management and Loadout Considerations

Inventory space is another factor to consider before crafting multiple charges. Door Breacher Charge competes for backpack capacity with other Consumables, Ingredients, Keys, and valuables. The Basic Pack starts with eight slots when no Backpack is equipped, while larger backpacks provide additional capacity. Secure variants also offer Secure Slots that can protect selected items if extraction fails.

Items not stored in a Secure Slot are lost after a failed exfil. A charge that remains unused during a deployment may therefore be worth protecting if you are carrying expensive crafting materials or have invested significant effort in obtaining it.

The 3D Printer can send crafted items directly to the Operator or into the shared Stash. The Stash starts with 40 item slots and 12 weapon slots, with further capacity available through DMZ Level rewards and printer Upgrades. All Active Duty Operators share Stash contents, Resources, Ingredients, and DMZ Cash.

Crafting Door Breacher Charge requires rare ingredients, DMZ Cash, and the right printer upgrades. Prioritize valuable loot and plan each extraction carefully to make progress more efficient.

Players can also explore Bot Lobby MW4 options for supported progression goals, leaving more time to focus on equipment preparation and in-game objectives.

Basic Resources—Synthetics, Electronics, Chemicals, and Metals—are automatically broken down from junk during deployments and do not occupy Stash slots. Specialized Ingredients such as Stock Rods and Experimental Compound remain intact, take up backpack space while deployed, and should be transferred to the Stash after a successful exfil.

For the most efficient preparation, prioritize collecting Experimental Compound and Stock Rods, unlock Epic Ingredient Printing when your resources allow, and build up a supply of Volatile Explosives. Since the Door Breacher Charge consumes several specialized materials per use, crafting it for a specific high-value objective is generally more practical than treating it as an everyday consumable.
