FC 27 Team of the Week 6 is now available in Ultimate Team packs, with Luis Díaz leading the squad at 89 OVR. Lauren James, Antoine Griezmann, Yan Diomande and Mikel Oyarzabal are among the other notable additions. Rather than judging this week’s release by overall ratings alone, the important question is which In-Form cards can improve your starting XI, which are better suited to specific tactical roles, and which are worth considering only if their market prices fit your budget.
TOTW cards can be useful upgrades, but a special card is not automatically better for every squad. Chemistry, position, PlayStyles, work rates, available alternatives and your preferred formation all matter. If you’re building a new FUT lineup, compare each card with the player it would replace before spending coins or using valuable club items in an SBC.
The released squad includes the following players and overall ratings. Check the live Ultimate Team item details before buying, because card availability and market prices can change throughout the week.

The squad’s highest-rated card is Luis Díaz at 89 OVR, while Lauren James, Antoine Griezmann, Yan Diomande and Mikel Oyarzabal provide several alternatives for attacking positions. Lower-rated cards should not automatically be dismissed: an 80–83 OVR player may still be useful for a specific position, chemistry link or eligible SBC, depending on the rest of your club.
Luis Díaz’s 89-rated In-Form card is the headline option for players who want a high-rated wide attacker. He is worth considering if your current left-sided attacker struggles to create separation, contribute to transitions or remain useful when your opponent defends narrowly.
For a 4-2-3-1, test him on the left as an outlet for quick transitions. Win the ball with a defensive midfielder, pass into Díaz in space, and decide whether to drive toward the box or release the striker. If you prefer slow possession and short combinations, assess his passing and close control in your own matches rather than assuming the rating guarantees an upgrade. Players planning to improve several positions should also reserve FC27 Coins for the positions that cause the most problems instead of spending the entire budget on one headline card.
Pedro Neto’s 83-rated TOTW 6 card is worth considering for squads that rely on quick transitions and direct wing play. In a 4-2-3-1, try using Neto on the right to receive passes after winning the ball with a CDM. Carry the ball toward the opposing full-back, then choose between driving down the line for a cross or cutting inside to combine with your CAM. If the defender blocks the direct route, recycle possession instead of forcing a low-probability pass. Neto is most worth considering when your current winger struggles to carry the ball into space or support fast counterattacks.
Lauren James is an option for squads that need a central attacking threat, but check her available positions and attributes on the actual In-Form item before deciding where to use her. If your striker frequently receives the ball with defenders tight behind them, prioritise the card’s ability to turn, link passes and create shooting opportunities. If your system relies on repeated runs behind the defensive line, compare her movement and pace with the striker you already own.
Antoine Griezmann and Mikel Oyarzabal are worth examining for squads that need different types of central attacking contribution. Compare their shooting, passing, dribbling and available positions with your existing forwards. A player who helps connect midfield to attack may fit a possession-based setup better than a striker selected purely for pace. The best choice depends on how you create chances, not simply which card has the highest OVR.
Yan Diomande and Jarrod Bowen give wide-focused squads additional options, while Pedro Neto can be considered when you need another wide player. To compare them properly, inspect their actual pace, dribbling, stamina, weak foot, skill moves and PlayStyles. Then run a few matches with the candidate in the role you intend to use. For example, a winger expected to receive the ball near the touchline needs to beat the opposing full-back or create a useful passing angle; a player used as an inside forward needs to contribute when moving toward the centre.
Not every useful TOTW card needs to be a headline player. Ibrahim Maza’s 82 OVR CAM item may interest squads looking for a central attacking midfielder, while Javi Rodríguez’s 82 OVR CB card could be relevant to teams seeking defensive depth. Their usefulness still depends on their actual attributes, roles and chemistry compatibility. Compare them with your existing options before committing resources.
The 80–83 OVR cards can also have a different purpose: completing eligible Squad Building Challenges, filling a temporary squad slot or providing a low-cost alternative when you cannot afford a more expensive player. Do not assume every In-Form item is cheap simply because its rating is lower. Supply, demand and SBC requirements can move prices sharply, so check the current Transfer Market before purchasing. If you need to compare FC 27 Coins, treat that as a separate budget decision; first establish which positions genuinely need upgrading and how much you are willing to invest.
Use this three-step process before spending on TOTW 6.
First, identify the actual weakness in your squad. If your left winger rarely beats a defender, look for a suitable wide attacker. If your striker gets isolated, a player who links play may provide more value than another pace-focused forward. If your defence is already reliable, buying another centre-back may have less impact than improving your attack.
Second, compare the full cost of the upgrade. Check the target card’s market price, chemistry fit and the cost of any additional changes needed to accommodate it. Do not judge value by OVR alone. A slightly lower-rated card that fits your formation and links with your existing players may be a more sensible purchase than a headline name that forces several expensive changes.
Third, avoid panic buying immediately after release. Prices can fluctuate as more cards enter the market and players adjust their squads. Set a maximum price you’re comfortable paying, compare listings over time and avoid purchasing solely because a card is new. If you are opening packs with untradeable rewards, remember that the result is uncertain; do not spend additional resources expecting a particular TOTW player.
TOTW 6 arrived on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, replacing the previous weekly squad. Team of the Week items traditionally remain in eligible packs for approximately one week, but check the in-game pack timer to confirm the current availability window. Transfer Market listings may remain after a card leaves packs, and their prices can continue to change.
For most squads, the sensible approach is to choose a card based on a specific role and an affordable upgrade path. Luis Díaz is the headline option, but the best purchase for your team may be a different attacker or a lower-rated card that solves a more pressing problem. Compare the actual item attributes, test how the player fits your formation, and spend only when the upgrade offers a clear improvement over your current lineup.
