New World Season 7 Increases Challenges for Solo and Casual Players

The latest update to **New World: Aeternum**, **Season 7**, has introduced several changes to the game, particularly affecting endgame content. While many players initially hoped that future patches would address some of the difficulties faced by solo and casual players, the latest season has instead intensified these challenges. New mechanics and resource limitations have made progression increasingly difficult for those who do not participate in group activities or player-versus-player (PvP) combat.

One of the most significant obstacles introduced in Season 7 is the **Goldcursed Coconuts**, a high-end crafting material required to upgrade **artifacts and other items** to the new **725 gear score cap**. These materials are **only available once per week** and can only be obtained from **treasure chests in the Cursed Mists**, a **free-for-all PvP zone in Cutlass Keys**. This restriction forces players into a high-risk environment where survival is far from guaranteed.

An alternative way to obtain a similar crafting material exists through the **Hive of the Gorgons raid**, but this option presents its own challenges. The raid requires a **highly coordinated team**, making it difficult for casual or solo players to access. Without a dedicated group, attempting the raid becomes nearly impossible, leaving most players with no choice but to venture into the Cursed Mists zone in search of Goldcursed Coconuts.

For those who have not specialized in PvP, this presents a major hurdle. Players who enter the **Cursed Mists** without adequate PvP gear often find themselves at a severe disadvantage, becoming easy targets for more experienced PvP players. As a result, attempting to farm these essential materials can become an exercise in frustration. Many players must carefully choose **off-peak hours** to enter the zone, hoping to avoid encounters that would send them back to the entrance empty-handed.

The combination of **strict resource limitations and PvP-focused mechanics** in **Season 7** has raised concerns about the game's accessibility. While **New World** has long been marketed as a game that supports different playstyles, these recent changes appear to place a stronger emphasis on group content and PvP participation. This shift risks alienating casual players who may not have the time or interest to engage in competitive environments.

As **Season 7** continues, the long-term impact of these mechanics remains to be seen. Whether the developers will introduce adjustments to **better accommodate different playstyles** is uncertain, but the current direction appears to favor **hardcore and organized players** over those who prefer a **more flexible or solo-friendly experience**.For the latest game information, please follow u4gm.
