The Glass Cat is one of those pets that every Grow A Garden player has heard about, but almost nobody has actually seen in action. It was planned as a reward for the Glass Animals Admin Abuse event, but the event was scrapped before release—leaving the Glass Cat in that strange “myth but technically real” category. Even so, players still talk about it because its abilities are surprisingly strong, and its concept fits perfectly into the game's mix of cute-but-powerful pets.
This guide breaks down everything we know: how it was originally meant to be obtained, what it looks like, what its passives do, and the realistic value it would have today.

From the preview model, the Glass Cat looks like a bright, blocky cat statue made entirely of icy, transparent glass. The body has a cool blue shine, as if light is passing through slightly frosted crystal. Its face features simple square eyes, a tiny triangular pink nose, and dark whiskers that stand out against the translucent body.
Large pink-and-blue ears sit on top, and you can see a subtle reflective edge around the whole figure—almost like a glowing outline.
It has the same chunky, cute proportions as other cube-style pets in Grow A Garden, but the glossy material gives it a rare, “special edition” feel.

Glass Animals Admin Abuse Event
The Glass Cat was supposed to be awarded during this event—likely as a special reward or event-exclusive drop. However, the entire event was cancelled before release, so the Glass Cat never became obtainable.
Right now, there is no legitimate way to get one. If the developers ever bring back a similar event, the Glass Cat might return—but for now, it's only in previews and old update notes.
If the Glass Cat ever does make a comeback, it'll instantly become one of the most sought-after grow a garden pet options because of its strong farming passives and unique origin. Until then, all we can do is keep an eye on future events and hope the developers finally give this mysterious glass creature its moment.
Even though it never launched, its passives were fully designed—and honestly, they are very strong for a Rare pet:
This passive alone would make it a solid farming pet. Bigger fruit means more sell value, faster upgrades, and smoother scaling.
In Grow A Garden, Glossy fruits sell for a lot more than normal ones, so this passive would've made the Glass Cat extremely popular for early- and mid-game players.
This is a pretty comfortable hunger number. Pets with hunger in this range generally don't require constant feeding and can stay active longer before dropping in performance.
The Glass Cat includes two built-in traits—basically the same as its passives:
This is unusual because most pets only use one main passive. Having both makes this pet feel more like a Rare-Plus or even Epic-tier utility pet.
But the Tier alone doesn't tell the whole story.
If it were released and obtainable normally, its value would probably stay around a mid Rare tier.
But because it:
its “trade value” (if trading existed for unreleased pets) would be extremely high—more similar to a Mythic-level collector item, even though its official tier is Rare.
If the Glass Cat ever becomes obtainable:
The Glass Cat is a cancelled Rare pet that never made it into Grow A Garden, but it still has one of the coolest designs and strongest utility kits for its tier. Its passives—bigger fruit and a chance for Glossy fruit—would've made it a solid farming companion. Because it never released, its theoretical value is extremely high, especially from a collector's perspective.
If the developers ever revive the Glass Animals event, this pet could finally appear—but for now, it remains one of the game's best-known “lost pets.”
