The Pricklefruit is a rare, prickly crop introduced in Part 2 of the Cooking Event. Known for its spiky, tropical look and high base value, it's a must-have for collectors and players chasing valuable harvests.

Pricklefruit Farming Tips – Grow A Garden Cooking Event

Pricklefruit Farming Tips – Grow A Garden Cooking Event

If you've been hunting for this elusive fruit, here's exactly how you can get it without wasting time or missing your shot.

Step 1 – Understand How the Pricklefruit Drops

The only way to get a Pricklefruit is through the Rat Connoisseur reward system during the Cooking Event.

  • Base Chance: 5% that the Rat Connoisseur offers Pricklefruit as one of your three choices.
  • Boosted Chance: If Pricklefruit is Chris P's Craving for the day, the chance increases to 6%.

Once the Pricklefruit option appears, you still have to choose it over the other rewards shown.

Step 2 – Trigger the Rat Connoisseur

To get the Rat Connoisseur to give you rewards:

  1. Give Him Mutated Food – You'll need to cook and mutate food using special seeds or rare ingredients.
  2. Trigger the Reward Menu – After handing over the mutated food, the Rat Connoisseur will show you three random rewards from his loot table.
  3. Pick Your Prize – If Pricklefruit shows up, take it immediately (it's too rare to pass up).

Step 3 – Know the Full Reward Table

Here's the complete drop list so you understand your odds:

Step 4 – Speed It Up with Premium Skips

If you want more chances in less time:

  • Use Premium Skips for 89 Robux to bypass the review animation.
  • Premium Skips don't change the reward pool but give slightly better odds for rare items.
  • Best used when you have multiple mutated foods ready to hand in at once.

Step 5 – Recognize the Pricklefruit's Appearance

The Pricklefruit looks like a Starfruit + Corn + Spiked Mango hybrid—yellow, angular, and covered in little spikes. This makes it stand out easily in your inventory.

If chasing rare crops feels like an endless grind, sometimes it’s worth stepping off the farming wheel. Whether you’re after the elusive Pricklefruit or other legendary finds, you can save time (and sanity) by choosing to buy exotic Grow A Garden pets from trusted sellers. That way, you get exactly what you want without waiting for RNG to be on your side.

Trivia for Collectors

  • The Pricklefruit was first teased in the Grow a Garden banner before Part 2 dropped.
  • It has a very high base value for a legendary, making it not just rare but also profitable.

My Tip – Play Smart, Not Just Long

When I farmed for my first Pricklefruit, I didn't burn myself out grinding nonstop. Instead, I focused on days when Chris P's Craving boosted the drop rate to 6% and prepped batches of mutated food ahead of time. This let me roll for the reward quickly and consistently.

If you want to skip the grind entirely, you can always head to the grow a garden pet shop and pick one up instantly—sometimes, convenience beats RNG.
