The Multiplayer 8 Program is now live in MLB The Show 26, giving Diamond Dynasty players a new reward path focused on online multiplayer. The program features five 99 OVR player cards, along with packs, MLB The Show 26 Stubs, choice rewards, and a large final pack bundle.

The featured players are Pop Lloyd, Peanut Johnson, Fred McGriff, Rollie Fingers, and Bernie Williams. The five cards are spread across the program, with the first available relatively early and Bernie Williams appearing later on the reward track.

Multiplayer 8 can be progressed through Ranked, Ranked Co-Op, Battle Royale, Events, and Weekend Classic. The complete reward path reaches 150,000 XP, with 50 The Show Packs waiting at the final milestone.

Five 99 OVR Players Headline the Program

Pop Lloyd is the first major player reward and becomes available at 10,000 XP. The 99 OVR Negro Leagues shortstop gives players an early high-rated option for the infield. Because the card appears near the beginning of the path, players do not need to complete a large portion of the program to add Lloyd to their Diamond Dynasty collection.

The second player is Peanut Johnson, a 99 OVR Negro Leagues starting pitcher available at 35,000 XP. His reward slot gives the program another rotation option and provides a reason to continue past the first player milestone.

Fred McGriff arrives at 60,000 XP. The 99 OVR Hall of Fame first baseman is one of the program's main offensive rewards and adds another high-rated option for Diamond Dynasty lineups.

At 85,000 XP, the reward path reaches 99 OVR Rollie Fingers. The Awards Series closing pitcher gives players another high-rated bullpen option for multiplayer games.

Bernie Williams is the final featured player reward. The 99 OVR Milestone center fielder becomes available at 120,000 XP and is the headline card for the later stages of Multiplayer 8.

Players looking for the five featured cards can use the following milestones as their targets:

  • Reach 10,000 XP for Pop Lloyd.
  • Reach 35,000 XP for Peanut Johnson.
  • Reach 60,000 XP for Fred McGriff.
  • Reach 85,000 XP for Rollie Fingers.
  • Reach 120,000 XP for Bernie Williams.

Multiplayer 8 Reward Path

The program contains considerably more than its five featured player cards. Packs, Stubs, choice rewards, and other items are placed throughout the 150,000 XP path.

Key milestones include:

  • 5,000 XP: The Show Pack
  • 10,000 XP: 99 OVR Pop Lloyd
  • 15,000 XP: 5 The Show Packs
  • 20,000 XP: Headliners Pack
  • 25,000 XP: 1,500 Stubs
  • 30,000 XP: Deluxe Choice Pack
  • 35,000 XP: 99 OVR Peanut Johnson
  • 40,000 XP: The JUMBO Show Pack
  • 50,000 XP: Goose On The Loose
  • 60,000 XP: 99 OVR Fred McGriff
  • 80,000 XP: Premier Choice Pack
  • 85,000 XP: 99 OVR Rollie Fingers
  • 100,000 XP: 15,000 XP
  • 110,000 XP: Premier Choice Pack
  • 120,000 XP: 99 OVR Bernie Williams
  • 140,000 XP: Ranked Ws Rewind
  • 150,000 XP: 50 The Show Packs

There are also additional Stubs, Ballin' is a Habit Packs, JUMBO Packs, and other rewards between the major milestones.

The reward structure gives players several natural stopping points. Someone interested only in Pop Lloyd can stop after reaching 10,000 XP, while players chasing Bernie Williams will need to push much further through the path.

Multiple Multiplayer Modes Count

Multiplayer 8 is not tied to one specific online mode. Players can make progress through several different types of multiplayer content.

The available modes include:

Ranked
Ranked Co-Op
Battle Royale
Events
Weekend Classic

This allows players to work on the program without completely changing the way they normally play Diamond Dynasty.

Ranked players can continue working through their regular games, while Battle Royale and Events players can make progress through those modes as well. Weekend Classic also provides another opportunity to combine normal multiplayer games with program objectives.

The program includes one-time mission groups covering common gameplay actions such as Hits, Strikeouts, Home Runs, and Variety objectives. Battle Royale also has additional missions that can contribute toward Multiplayer 8 progression.

Because these objectives are tied to normal gameplay actions, players can often work toward several goals during the same games.

Repeatable Parallel XP Objective

The repeatable Parallel XP objective is particularly important for players planning to complete the later stages of the program.

Players can earn 5,000 Program XP by reaching 15,000 Parallel XP in multiplayer. Unlike the one-time mission groups, this objective provides an ongoing source of program progress.

This gives players a consistent option after the easier objectives have been completed. Rather than relying entirely on specific mission requirements, players can continue playing multiplayer games and build Parallel XP toward additional Program XP.

For anyone targeting Bernie Williams at 120,000 XP or the complete 150,000 XP path, the repeatable objective becomes an important part of the longer grind.

A Simple Way to Build XP

Players can make the most of the program by combining objectives instead of completing them separately.

A practical progression order is:

Start with the one-time Multiplayer 8 missions.
Play the multiplayer mode that best matches the current objectives.
Complete Hit, Strikeout, Home Run, and Variety requirements naturally during games.
Work on Battle Royale missions when playing that mode.
Use Events or Weekend Classic objectives when they overlap with Multiplayer 8 requirements.
After the one-time missions are finished, focus on the repeatable Parallel XP objective.
Continue until reaching the specific player or reward milestone you want.

This approach also means players do not have to treat Multiplayer 8 as an isolated grind. Regular multiplayer games can contribute to several objectives at once.

Reaching the Final Reward

The five 99 OVR cards are spread across the entire program, so players can decide how far they want to progress.

The main player milestones are:

  • 10,000 XP: Pop Lloyd
  • 35,000 XP: Peanut Johnson
  • 60,000 XP: Fred McGriff
  • 85,000 XP: Rollie Fingers
  • 120,000 XP: Bernie Williams

Players who want the complete reward track need to reach 150,000 XP. The final milestone adds 50 The Show Packs on top of the rewards collected throughout the program.

The later part of the path also includes the Ranked Ws Rewind reward at 140,000 XP, giving players another incentive to continue after unlocking Bernie Williams.

Multiplayer 8 Expands the Diamond Dynasty Reward Pool

Multiplayer 8 adds another substantial progression path to MLB The Show 26, with five 99 OVR players spread across a 150,000 XP track.

The early Pop Lloyd reward makes the program accessible to players who only want one high-rated card, while the later milestones give dedicated Diamond Dynasty players reasons to keep playing. Bernie Williams remains the biggest player milestone at 120,000 XP, followed by the 50 The Show Packs at the end of the complete path.

With Ranked, Co-Op, Battle Royale, Events, and Weekend Classic all contributing, players have multiple ways to build XP. The repeatable Parallel XP objective also gives the program a reliable progression route once the one-time missions are finished.

For Diamond Dynasty players already spending time in multiplayer, Multiplayer 8 adds a substantial collection of new rewards without requiring them to stick to a single game mode.
