Leveling in MapleStory Classic World is not just about defeating monsters. Early quests can give you weapons, gloves, potions, capes, and crafting materials that help you save Mesos as your character grows. Some quests also fit into your normal training route, so you can earn experience while collecting items for NPCs. If you want to spend less on basic supplies, start with the quests on Maple Island and then move through Victoria Island as you reach each level requirement. Keeping enough MapleStory Classic World Mesos for potions and equipment upgrades will make these early tasks easier to manage.

MapleStory Classic World: Best Early Quests for Gear, Potions, and Mesos

Biggs’s Collection of Items on Maple Island

At level 3, visit Biggs in Southperry and accept Biggs’s Collection of Items before leaving Maple Island. He asks for 10 Blue Snail Shells and one Orange Mushroom Cap. Blue Snails drop the shells, while Orange Mushrooms drop their caps. Return to Biggs after collecting everything to receive 120 EXP and one random weapon: a Fruit Knife or a Razor, with each having a 50% chance. This quest gives beginners a useful early weapon without requiring them to spend Mesos at a shop. It is a simple task to finish while exploring the island.

Nella’s Quest in Kerning City

After reaching level 10, visit Nella in Kerning City and accept Andre’s Request. The quest requires you to defeat 30 Octopuses, collect 20 Octopus Legs, and bring one bottle of Pure Water. Completing it rewards you with Work Gloves, along with experience and Mesos. Work Gloves can be used by different classes and have five upgrade slots in the current item data, making them useful for players who want to try scroll upgrades later. Check your inventory before turning in the quest so you do not need to return to the same hunting area for missing items.

Mrs. Ming Ming’s Requests in Henesys

Mrs. Ming Ming offers an early quest chain that asks you to collect 10 Pig’s Heads, 30 Octopus Legs, and one bottle of Estelle’s Special Sauce. You need to visit Estelle near Ellinia to get the sauce, and she requires a Garnet as part of her exchange. Once you have all the items, return to Mrs. Ming Ming in Henesys. The rewards include experience, Mesos, a Ribboned Pig Headband, and 20 Lemons. Lemons restore MP, so they can help Magicians and other characters who use skills often. Completing this quest while hunting the required monsters can also reduce extra travel.

Jane Doe’s Two-Part Quest

At level 23, speak to Jane Doe inside Niora Hospital in Kerning City to begin Stranger’s Request. You must defeat 40 Stirges and collect 20 Broken Mirror Glass. After you return the items, Jane Doe gives you Blue Potions and unlocks Stranger’s Identity. The second part asks you to defeat 50 Zombie Mushrooms and collect 25 Charms of the Undead. Completing both parts rewards you with more experience, Mesos, Blue Potions, and the Old Raggedy Cape. This quest chain is worth keeping in mind because it provides both consumables and an early cape while sending you through several monster areas.

Icarus’s Cape Quests

The Icarus quest chain in Kerning City is another option for players who want better movement. The quests have level requirements and follow-up tasks, so check the available request before starting. Depending on the quest completed, players can receive a cape that improves movement speed or jump. These bonuses can help you cross platforms, move between monsters, and travel through large maps more easily. Since the exact reward depends on the quest branch, read the reward choice carefully before finishing the final step.

Mr. Wetbottom and Rowen the Fairy

At level 32, you can begin Mr. Wetbottom’s Secret Book quest chain in the VIP Sauna in Sleepywood. The tasks send you to Ronnie near Ellinia and require several monster drops and other items before you can recover the Secret Book. Returning the book to Mr. Wetbottom rewards a Blue Sauna Robe for male characters or a Red Sauna Robe for female characters. At level 36, after completing the required Secret Book quest, you can also start Rowen the Fairy’s Cursed Doll quests in Ellinia. These tasks require you to defeat Zombie Lupins and collect increasing numbers of Cursed Dolls, with rewards that include experience, Mesos, and different ores or other MSCW items.

This helps you avoid repeat trips and makes it easier to earn experience while collecting quest items. Save your Mesos for equipment that fits your class and level, and compare the cost of supplies with the rewards you receive. If you need extra currency for future upgrades, you may also consider buy GMSCW Mesos alongside the Mesos you earn from quests and monster drops.
