MLB The Show 26 continues its 2026 Finest Week with the release of Finest Program 2 on November 5. The new Diamond Dynasty program introduces 11 player cards, another Finest Choice Pack, and additional opportunities to strengthen your roster before the final Finest content drop.

Among the featured players are Shane Baz, Trevor Megill, Adrian Morejon, Drake Baldwin, Jackson Merrill, Isaac Paredes, and Rafael Devers. The biggest milestone is Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who becomes available at 100 program points. Players can also earn 2026 Finest Choice Pack 2 at 95 points.

All MLB The Show 26 Finest Program 2 Rewards

Program 2 has a 100-point reward path featuring 11 player cards and one Finest Choice Pack. The player rewards are unlocked at different milestones, so you can gradually build your collection while completing missions.

The reward path also includes 1,000 XP at each of its 11 player milestones, providing 11,000 additional XP throughout the program.

The selection covers several important roster roles. Shane Baz, Sean Burke, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto give players more starting pitching options, while Trevor Megill and Adrian Morejon add bullpen depth.

On the offensive side, Drake Baldwin, Jackson Merrill, Isaac Paredes, Rafael Devers, Jake McCarthy, and Otto Lopez provide additional lineup choices.

Rather than focusing exclusively on one position, players can use these rewards to address different weaknesses in their Diamond Dynasty rosters.

How to Earn Program Points

The main objective is to reach 100 points and unlock Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Program 2 offers several ways to earn progress, including Moments, player-specific missions, Finest Series missions, and general statistical objectives.

Moments: 30 Points

There are five Moments in the program, each worth 6 points:

  • Jake McCarthy
  • Otto Lopez
  • Drake Baldwin
  • Rafael Devers
  • Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Completing all five earns 30 points. These are useful objectives to tackle early because they provide progress toward the first several player rewards.

Finest Program 2 Missions: 60 Points

These missions require players to use cards earned from Finest Program 2.

MissionPoints
Record 5 hits10
Pitch 5 innings10
Earn 500 Parallel XP10
Earn 1,500 Parallel XP10
Earn 2,500 Parallel XP10
Earn 4,000 Parallel XP10

The 4,000 Parallel XP mission is repeatable.

An important detail is that these objectives specifically require players earned from Program 2. Using unrelated cards from your collection will not count toward this mission group.

2026 Finest Series Missions: 40 Points

The broader Finest Series missions provide another way to earn program progress.

  • Record 15 hits with 2026 Finest Series players: 5 points.
  • Record 8 extra-base hits: 5 points.
  • Pitch 10 innings: 5 points.
  • Record 15 strikeouts: 5 points.
  • Earn 5,000 Parallel XP: 10 points.
  • Earn 6,000 Parallel XP: 10 points.

The final Parallel XP mission is repeatable.

Unlike the Program 2-specific missions, these objectives accept eligible 2026 Finest Series cards. This gives players who already collected cards from Program 1 another way to make progress.

General Stat Missions: 30 Points

You can also earn points without using specific Finest cards:

ObjectivePoints
Record 26 hits with any players10
Pitch 26 innings with any players10
Record 26 strikeouts with any players10

These missions are particularly convenient because they can progress alongside other objectives.

There is also a bonus collection mission worth 20 points. Collecting 2026 Finest Pete Crow-Armstrong from Program 1 unlocks this additional progress in Program 2.

Which Players Should You Prioritize?

The best reward depends on what your Diamond Dynasty roster currently needs.

For players who want to improve their starting rotation, Shane Baz and Sean Burke are early rewards worth working toward. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is the final pitching reward, making the 100-point milestone particularly interesting for players who want another rotation option.

Trevor Megill and Adrian Morejon are worth considering if your bullpen needs more depth.

For offensive upgrades, Rafael Devers, Isaac Paredes, Jackson Merrill, and Drake Baldwin are among the later rewards to watch. Jake McCarthy and Otto Lopez also provide additional options for building a more flexible lineup. If you're planning to strengthen your Diamond Dynasty roster, having enough MLB The Show 26 Stubs can also help you explore additional player options through the marketplace and build a lineup that better fits your playstyle.

It is important to compare the actual in-game attributes, positions, and player preferences before deciding which cards deserve a place in your starting lineup. A high-profile Finest card is not automatically the best choice for every team.

The Best Way to Complete Finest Program 2

You do not need to approach every mission separately. Combining objectives is the easiest way to make consistent progress.

Start by completing the five Moments to earn 30 points. As you unlock Shane Baz, Trevor Megill, and the other player rewards, add eligible Program 2 cards to your lineup and pitching rotation.

Then focus on the Program 2-specific missions. Recording hits, pitching innings, and earning Parallel XP with these cards will help you unlock additional rewards.

At the same time, work on the general stat missions and broader Finest Series objectives. Eligible game modes include Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Weekend Classic, Play vs CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest, and Diamond Quest, so you have several ways to complete the requirements.

If you already collected Pete Crow-Armstrong from Program 1, make sure to claim the additional 20-point collection bonus.

The 95-point Choice Pack is another important milestone. However, do not stop there if you want the final Yoshinobu Yamamoto reward. Continue earning points until you reach 100.

Is Finest Program 2 Worth Completing?

Finest Program 2 gives MLB The Show 26 players another substantial set of Diamond Dynasty rewards. With 11 player cards, a Finest Choice Pack, and 11,000 additional XP available through the reward path, there is plenty of incentive to work through the objectives.

The biggest advantage is the variety of rewards. Pitchers can add more rotation and bullpen options, while position players have several new cards to consider for their lineups.

The most efficient strategy is to complete the Moments early, use newly unlocked Program 2 players for their specific missions, and combine the remaining objectives whenever possible.

With Program 3 scheduled for November 6, completing the second Finest program is also a good opportunity to keep your collection moving forward. Players who stay on top of the reward paths will be in a better position to take advantage of the rest of the 2026 Finest Week content.
