The Subway Series Program is now available in MLB The Show 26, bringing four new 99 OVR player rewards to Diamond Dynasty.

The featured players are Mike Piazza, Derek Jeter, Mike Mussina, and John Franco. The Program is built around the Yankees-Mets rivalry, with most of the progress coming from the new Subway Series Conquest map and a small set of missions. If you are also looking for ways to build up your MLB The Show 26 Stubs, the Program gives you another reason to jump into Diamond Dynasty and work through the available rewards.

If you want to finish the Program as quickly as possible, here is the easiest route.

Subway Series Program Rewards

The four main rewards are:

  • 99 OVR Mike Piazza – C, Mets
  • 99 OVR Derek Jeter – SS, Yankees
  • 99 OVR Mike Mussina – SP, Yankees
  • 99 OVR John Franco – RP, Mets

These cards are part of the Subway Series theme and can also be useful for Yankees, Mets, or themed Diamond Dynasty lineups.

Start With the Subway Series Conquest

The fastest way to make a large amount of progress is to complete the Subway Series Conquest.

The Conquest map is worth 50 Program points by itself, making it the most important objective if your goal is to finish the reward track quickly.

You can also pick up additional rewards while completing the map, including packs and a Vault Choice Pack. This makes the Conquest worth doing even if you are mainly interested in the four player rewards.

Instead of spreading your progress across several different modes, completing the Conquest first gives you a large chunk of the Program progress in one run.

Complete the Subway Series Moment

There is also a Subway Series Moment tied to the Program.

The Moment recreates a historic Mets moment involving Mike Piazza, giving you another easy way to add Program progress.

It is a short objective, so there is little reason to skip it. Complete it before moving on to the longer missions.

Finish the Yankees and Mets Missions

The remaining progress comes from missions involving Yankees and Mets players.

There are separate objectives for both teams, including:

  • Earn 2,000 PXP with Yankees players
  • Record 10 hits with Yankees players
  • Record 10 strikeouts with Yankees players
  • Earn 2,000 PXP with Mets players
  • Record 10 hits with Mets players
  • Record 10 strikeouts with Mets players

There are also Subway Series missions that require Yankees and/or Mets players to produce 16 total bases and hit two home runs.

The good thing is that these missions can be completed in any game mode where the requirements apply. You do not need to grind each objective separately.

The Best Way to Grind the Missions

The easiest method is to put Yankees and Mets players into your lineup before playing your normal Diamond Dynasty games.

Try to use as many eligible players as possible at the same time. This allows you to work toward PXP, hits, strikeouts, total bases, and home runs during the same games.

For example, Yankees hitters can work toward the Yankees PXP and hit requirements while also contributing to the total-base and home-run missions. The same applies to Mets players.

You should not need to play a completely separate game for every individual mission.

Fastest Completion Order

For players who want to finish the Subway Series Program with as little unnecessary grinding as possible, this order works well:

1. Complete the Subway Series Conquest.

This gives you the biggest single chunk of Program progress and additional pack rewards.

2. Finish the Subway Series Moment.

It is quick and easy progress, so there is no reason to leave it for later.

3. Build a Yankees and Mets lineup.

Use eligible players while completing your normal Diamond Dynasty games.

4. Finish the remaining Missions.

Focus on PXP first while naturally completing the hit, strikeout, total-base, and home-run requirements.

Once the missions are done, the remaining Program rewards should be available without a long additional grind.

What About Jorge Posada?

There is also a 99 OVR Jorge Posada connected to the current Chase Pack 26 content.

Posada is a Yankees catcher and fits naturally with the Subway Series theme, but he is not one of the four main Subway Series Program rewards.

So if your main goal is Mike Piazza, Derek Jeter, Mike Mussina, and John Franco, you do not need to chase Posada to complete the Program.

Final Tips

The Subway Series Program is fairly straightforward once you know where the progress comes from.

Start with the Subway Series Conquest, complete the Moment, and then use Yankees and Mets players to finish the remaining missions while playing other Diamond Dynasty modes.

The biggest time-saving tip is to combine objectives instead of grinding them individually. A Yankees and Mets-focused lineup can make progress toward several missions at the same time.

If you want all four 99 OVR rewards, there is no complicated setup required. Just clear the Conquest, finish the Moment, and work through the Yankees and Mets missions until the Program is complete.
