Monopoly GO Launches First-Ever Community Token Design Contest

Monopoly GO is giving players a chance to become part of the game’s history with a brand-new community design contest. For the first time ever, Tycoons can design their own Token and compete for the opportunity to have their creation turned into an official in-game Token in a future Season.

What Is the Monopoly GO Token Design Contest?

Tokens are one of the most recognizable features in Monopoly GO, allowing players to show off their personality while moving around the board. In this special event, players are invited to create a spooky-themed Token design inspired by Halloween.

Two talented Tycoons will be selected as Grand Winners, and their original designs will be transformed into permanent Monopoly GO Tokens that will appear in the game during a future Season.

Monopoly GO Contest Schedule

The Token Design Contest will run through several stages:

Submission Period: July 20 – July 28, 2026 
Submission Deadline: July 28 at 4 PM UTC 
Finalist Selection: After submissions close, the Monopoly GO team will choose 20 finalists based on creativity, originality, and spooky style. 
Community Voting Period: July 31 – August 4, 2026, until 4 PM UTC

During the voting stage, the community will choose their favorite designs from the 20 finalists. The two designs with the most eligible votes will become the Grand Winners.

How to Enter the Monopoly GO Contest?

Joining the contest is simple:

Join the official Monopoly GO Discord server. 
Enter the dedicated #Spooky-Community-Workshop channel. 
Submit your original spooky-themed Token design. 
Include your in-game Tycoon name when submitting your entry.

Players can create their designs using any method, including hand-drawn sketches, paintings, or digital artwork. The design can be funny, mysterious, elegant, creepy, or completely unique, as long as it matches the Halloween theme.

Monopoly GO Token Design Requirements

To make sure designs can become real in-game Tokens, players should follow these guidelines:

The design must be created by the participant. 
AI-generated or heavily AI-edited artwork is not allowed. 
Designs should avoid third-party brands, copyrighted characters, logos, or recognizable outside content. 
The Token must fit inside the standard Monopoly GO Token dome. 
The design should be able to stand on the regular circular Token base. 
Keep designs clear and recognizable, as very small details may not appear in-game. 
Including both front and back views is recommended.

Players may include official Monopoly GO characters such as Mr. M, Scottie, and Ben Basu the Banker, but their original appearance and proportions must remain unchanged. Their outfits can be customized to fit the spooky theme.

Monopoly GO Contest Rewards

Finalists (20 Players)

All 20 selected finalists will receive:

400 Dice Rolls 
1x 4-Star Sticker Pack 
Their designs will be displayed during the community voting stage.

Grand Winners (2 Players)

The two winning Tycoons will receive all finalist rewards plus additional prizes:

1,000 total Dice Rolls 
1x 4-Star Sticker Pack 
1x Swap Pack

Most importantly, their Token creations will be officially added to Monopoly GO in a future Season.
