The latest Tycoon Racers event has arrived in Monopoly GO!, and this time players are heading into the whimsical world of Pinocchio Racers. The event officially begins on May 20, 2026 at 1 PM ET and runs until May 24 at 4 PM ET, giving players several days to compete for championship rewards, lap milestones, and exclusive collectibles.

As soon as the event opens, players will have a limited preparation period to either create a four-player team or choose the solo route before the racing stages begin. Across three separate races, competitors will collect medals, complete laps, and battle for the top position on the leaderboard.

Pinocchio Racers Championship Rewards

The biggest attraction of the event is the exclusive championship prize pool. Teams that finish in first place will receive the limited Pinocchio-themed board token along with premium sticker rewards and special collectibles.

How Tycoon Racers Works

The event is divided into multiple phases that gradually lead players from team formation to the final championship race.

Team Formation Phase

During the opening stage, players have roughly 24–25 hours to organize their teams. You can invite friends directly, accept incoming requests, or allow the game to assign teammates automatically.

Unlike traditional partner events, joining one player may also connect you with the rest of their existing squad. Players are free to leave teams before the first race begins, but once racing starts, the lineup becomes locked.

Matchmaking

After team selection closes, the game places teams against opponents with similar progression levels and net worth values. This matchmaking process is designed to create more balanced races.

Daily Races

The competition itself consists of three races spread across several days. Teams earn medals based on their placement after each race:

RankFirst gameSecond gameThird game
110 Medals10 Medals20 Medals
28 Medals8 Medals16 Medals
36 Medals6 Medals12 Medals
44 Medals4 Medals8 Medals

The final race awards double medals, making it the most important stage of the entire event. Many experienced players save a large portion of their flags for this last showdown.

Lap Milestone Rewards

As your team moves around the racetrack, laps contribute toward milestone checkpoints. These checkpoints unlock select able rewards that may include:

  • Dice Rolls
  • Sticker Packs
  • Flags
  • Cash Rewards
  • Event Boosters

Rewards improve steadily after additional laps are completed. Milestones typically appear after the 1st, 3rd, 8th, and 18th cumulative laps, then continue every additional ten laps afterward.

Special Tycoon Racers Boosts

Several unique boosts and sabotage mechanics may appear throughout the Pinocchio Racers event.

Lucky Rockets

Lucky Rockets provide extremely powerful movement bonuses and can dramatically increase race progress when activated at the right moment. Proper timing is critical, especially during high-multiplier rolls.

Ball and Chain

This debuff allows players to temporarily slow down rival teams by reducing their scoring efficiency for several turns. It is especially useful when opponents are building momentum late in a race.

Team Spring

Team Spring works as a charge-based bonus mechanic. As your team continues racing, the spring gradually fills up. Once fully charged, every teammate receives a free dice pop that comes with a random multiplier bonus.

Multiple Team Springs can stack, allowing coordinated teams to chain several free boosts together.

How to Get More Flags

Flags are the key event currency used to roll during races, so collecting as many as possible is essential for climbing the rankings.

Collect Flags on the Board

Flags will appear directly on the Monopoly GO board during the event. Landing on them rewards additional flags.

Complete Tournaments and Banner Events

Concurrent events often include large batches of flags as milestone rewards, making them one of the best sources for racers.

Finish Quick Wins

Daily Quick Wins frequently contain flag rewards while Tycoon Racers is active.

Claim Free Shop Gifts

The in-game shop refreshes free rewards every eight hours. During the event, these gifts may include extra flags.

Reach Lap Milestones

Lap reward selections sometimes offer bonus flags, especially at higher milestones.

Watch for Free Links

Occasionally, special links distributed by community pages may include free flags or dice rewards.

Team Strategy Tips for Pinocchio Racers

Success in Tycoon Racers usually depends on resource management rather than spending everything immediately. Strong teams often coordinate their rolls, save flags for double-medal races, and use boosters strategically instead of randomly.

Players who choose Solo Mode should focus even more carefully on flag conservation because every point depends entirely on their own performance.

The Pinocchio Racers event also overlaps with several live Monopoly GO activities, giving players additional opportunities to collect dice, flags, and sticker packs while progressing through the championship.
