PoE 2 Ailith's Chimes Price and How to Get It

Ailith's Chimes is a Lineage Support Gem in Path of Exile 2 that helps generate Power Charges when supported skills expend Combo. It is particularly useful for builds that rely on Combo-based skills, including Tempest Bell and Mantra of Destruction.

Because Ailith's Chimes comes from a restricted endgame drop pool, players cannot obtain it by simply cutting an Uncut Support Gem. You must defeat the relevant bosses or acquire the gem through player trading.

PoE 2 Ailith's Chimes

Ailith's Chimes Price in PoE 2

Ailith's Chimes does not have a fixed price. Its value depends on the active league, available supply, player demand, and the currency used for trading.

As a reference, a market tracker for the Runes of Aldur league has listed Ailith's Chimes at approximately one PoE 2 Divine Orb. Prices can differ across leagues and trading platforms, so check the current market before making a purchase.

The in-game PoE 2 Currency Exchange is also worth checking if you cannot find a suitable listing through the usual trade interface.

Before buying Ailith's Chimes, consider the following:

  • Check the current exchange rate. Compare the asking price with the value of Divine Orbs and Exalted Orbs in your league.
  • Look at available offers. A single listing may not reflect the actual market value.
  • Consider your build. The gem only supports skills that can expend Combo, so it has limited value outside compatible setups.
  • Compare buying and farming. If the gem is affordable, purchasing it may save more time than repeatedly preparing for the boss encounter.

Prices can change quickly as players acquire more currency and new builds become popular. Always confirm the latest price in your own league rather than relying on an old estimate.

How to Get Ailith's Chimes

Ailith's Chimes drops from the Anomaly bosses Varloch, the Ashen Lord, and Avelyne, the Withered Rose, in Derelict Mansion.

The important detail is that these bosses have a restricted Lineage Support Gem drop pool. Ailith's Chimes is one possible reward, but it is not guaranteed to drop on every attempt. Rigwald's Ferocity is another gem associated with the same encounter.

Unlock Derelict Mansion

Derelict Mansion is an endgame Atlas location associated with the Mansion in the Mists Anomaly. Accessing it requires progressing through the surrounding Atlas maps.

When the Anomaly first appears, the location is obscured by dark mist. Nearby maps contain Draiocht Hengestones that you can activate to move the wisps associated with the Anomaly. Repeat this process across the connected maps until the mist clears and Derelict Mansion is revealed.

The encounter requires a Tier 6 or higher Waystone to access.

If you cannot see Derelict Mansion on your Atlas, check the surrounding maps for the Hengestone interaction and continue progressing through the Anomaly.

Defeat Varloch and Avelyne

Once Derelict Mansion is accessible, prepare your character for the boss encounter.

Both bosses can put pressure on characters that lack sufficient damage or defenses. Before entering, make sure your equipment is suitable for the map tier and that your build can handle sustained combat.

During the encounter, prioritize avoiding dangerous attacks rather than trying to maximize damage at every opportunity. A consistent clear is more valuable than repeatedly dying while attempting to finish the fight quickly.

After defeating the bosses, check the rewards for Ailith's Chimes or Rigwald's Ferocity. Since the encounter does not guarantee Ailith's Chimes specifically, you may need another opportunity to obtain the gem.

Can You Farm Ailith's Chimes Repeatedly?

You can target the relevant boss encounter, but you should not assume that the same completed Atlas map node can be reset and farmed indefinitely.

Derelict Mansion is tied to Atlas progression and the Mansion in the Mists Anomaly. Plan your attempts around the available encounter rather than treating it like an endlessly repeatable standalone dungeon.

If your main objective is to obtain Ailith's Chimes as quickly as possible, compare the time and resources required for another attempt with the current trade price.

Ailith's Chimes Effects and Requirements

Ailith's Chimes is a Lineage Support Gem that supports skills capable of expending Combo. Its main effect is to grant a chance to gain Power Charges when a supported skill spends Combo.

The current effect provides a 25% chance to gain a Power Charge per Combo expended. This chance can exceed 100%, meaning that spending more Combo can produce multiple opportunities to gain Power Charges.

For example, a supported skill that expends several Combo can benefit from the increased chance associated with each Combo spent. The exact result depends on how much Combo the skill expends and the gem's chance to generate charges.

Ailith's Chimes is a specialized support rather than a universal damage upgrade. It is most useful when your build already generates and spends Combo regularly.

Which Skills Can Ailith's Chimes Support?

Ailith's Chimes currently supports two skills: Tempest Bell and Mantra of Destruction.

Tempest Bell

Tempest Bell is a Quarterstaff skill that builds Combo by successfully striking enemies with other skills. Once you reach maximum Combo, you can use Tempest Bell to create a large bell that damages enemies on impact.

The bell can then be hit by your skills to produce damaging shockwaves. Elemental ailments applied to the bell can add extra damage of the corresponding type to those shockwaves.

With Ailith's Chimes equipped as its support, expending Combo through Tempest Bell can also help generate Power Charges. This makes the gem worth considering for builds that use Tempest Bell as a major part of their damage rotation.

Mantra of Destruction

Mantra of Destruction also relies on Combo. After building enough Combo, the skill empowers your next Quarterstaff Attack, causing it to deal additional Chaos damage.

Kills with the empowered attack grant Purple Flames of Chayula for a duration.

Ailith's Chimes can support Mantra of Destruction, giving compatible builds another way to generate Power Charges when spending Combo. Whether this improves your setup depends on how frequently you use the empowered attack and how effectively your build benefits from Power Charges.

Before investing in the gem, confirm that one of these skills is part of your build. Ailith's Chimes cannot be attached to arbitrary skills that do not meet its support requirements.

Is Ailith's Chimes Worth Buying?

Ailith's Chimes is worth considering for builds that regularly expend Combo through Tempest Bell or Mantra of Destruction.

Its main advantage is that Power Charge generation becomes part of an existing skill rotation. Instead of relying entirely on a separate charge-generation mechanic, your supported skill can help produce charges as it spends Combo.

However, the gem is not automatically a major upgrade for every character. If your build rarely uses Combo, cannot support either compatible skill, or does not benefit meaningfully from Power Charges, spending currency on Ailith's Chimes may be inefficient.

Before buying it, ask yourself three questions:

  • Does my build use Tempest Bell or Mantra of Destruction?
  • Can I consistently generate and expend Combo during combat?
  • Will additional Power Charges improve my damage or overall setup?

If the answer to all three is yes, Ailith's Chimes may be a worthwhile investment.

Should You Farm or Buy Ailith's Chimes?

The best option depends on your character's strength, available currency, and how quickly you want to complete your build.

Farming makes sense if you can access Derelict Mansion and handle the boss encounter comfortably. You also have a chance to obtain Rigwald's Ferocity, another Lineage Support Gem from the same drop pool.

Buying is usually more convenient when you already have enough currency and need Ailith's Chimes for an immediate upgrade. It avoids the uncertainty of waiting for the specific gem to drop.

For players with limited resources, compare the current market price with the cost of preparing for another boss attempt. Include the value of your time and any Waystones or other resources required to reach the encounter.

Do not continue farming solely because you have already invested time in previous attempts. If the gem is reasonably priced, purchasing it may be the more efficient choice.

Ailith's Chimes is a specialized Lineage Support Gem in Path of Exile 2 that generates Power Charges when supported skills expend Combo. Its compatible skills are Tempest Bell and Mantra of Destruction, making it most relevant to builds that already use these mechanics.

To obtain it through gameplay, unlock Derelict Mansion and defeat Varloch, the Ashen Lord, and Avelyne, the Withered Rose. Keep in mind that Ailith's Chimes is not guaranteed on every attempt because the encounter can also drop Rigwald's Ferocity.

If you want to finish your build without spending time on repeated boss encounters, check the current market price before deciding whether to buy it. The right choice depends on your league's economy, your character's strength, and how much value the gem adds to your setup.
