Armor Piercer is a level 24 polearm in WoW Forever with one particularly useful stat: +11 Agility. Its weapon damage is relatively low, but that does not make it a bad choice for Hunters. The extra Agility improves ranged attack power, making this weapon more valuable than its listed DPS suggests.
For players upgrading early equipment, it is worth understanding which stats actually benefit their class before spending WoW Forever Gold on another weapon. Armor Piercer is a good example of why weapon damage alone should not determine whether an item is an upgrade.

| Attribute | Details |
|---|---|
| Item Level | 29 |
| Quality | Uncommon |
| Weapon Type | Two-Handed Polearm |
| Required Level | 24 |
| Damage | 41–62 |
| Attack Speed | 2.60 |
| DPS | 19.81 |
| Bonus | +11 Agility |
| Binding | Binds when picked up |
The main attraction is its Agility bonus. Hunters can benefit from the additional ranged attack power while keeping their existing bow or gun equipped. Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, and Survival can all make use of this stat.
Armor Piercer drops from Razorfen Spearhide in Razorfen Kraul. These enemies appear in the blue room near Overlord Ramtusk.
If you are farming the polearm, check both Spearhide corpses before leaving the room.
| Attribute | Armor Piercer | Corpsemaker |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon Type | Polearm | Two-Handed Axe |
| Required Level | 24 | 29 |
| Damage | 41–62 | 88–132 |
| Attack Speed | 2.60 | 3.80 |
| DPS | 19.81 | 28.95 |
| Bonus Stats | +11 Agility | +15 Strength, +8 Stamina |
Corpsemaker is the stronger melee weapon because of its higher DPS and Strength bonus. Armor Piercer serves a different purpose: its Agility makes it a useful equipment upgrade for Hunters.
| Class | Loot Priority |
|---|---|
| Hunter | Need – benefits from Agility |
| Feral Druid | Situational – compare weapon DPS |
| Warrior | Pass – Corpsemaker is better |
| Paladin | Pass – prefers Strength and weapon damage |
| Rogue / Shaman | Cannot equip |
| Balance / Restoration Druid | Pass – poor stat match |
Feral Druids may consider it if their current weapon is particularly weak, but Hunters should generally receive priority. Since Armor Piercer binds when picked up, discuss loot rules before the encounter.
Hunters can keep Armor Piercer until they find a weapon with better Agility or a more valuable combination of stats. Do not replace it just because another weapon displays higher DPS.
Feral Druids should prioritize weapon DPS instead, since their animal forms benefit from the equipped weapon’s damage. A stronger two-handed weapon will usually be a better upgrade.
Players who want to spend less time on repetitive character progression can also consider WoW Forever Boosting options, while continuing to improve their equipment through appropriate quests and dungeon rewards.
Armor Piercer is a practical early weapon for Hunters because of its +11 Agility, not its melee damage. Corpsemaker is the better choice for Warriors and Paladins, while Feral Druids should compare weapon DPS before deciding.
