In ARC Raiders, the Amplified Rascal (Random Amplified) is the Rare Quality V launcher after Amplification. It earns the slot for mid-range ARC work when you need Very Strong penetration, a one-round tube, and a permanent node that fixes a named projectile problem. Whether you are sorting scavenged parts or browsing ARC Raiders Materials while you map the spend, plan Mk. III farming, the node install, and Amplified Fragment repairs together before you burn Rare components.

The Amplified Anvil (magazine 6, X-Rounds that still pressure Raiders) and Osprey (magazine 8, range 80.3 with Scoped, Stealth 12) solve different jobs. Rascal is not a second Anvil. Lock a node only when the next raids match that specialty, because an activated Amplification cannot be removed or changed.
What You Are Buying
Amplified Rascal keeps Break-Action fire, magazine size 1, weight 4.0, Very Strong armor penetration, and Stealth 1. Sheet values are 75 damage, 13.7 fire rate, and 28.3 range. From Rascal IV you already carry 20% reduced reload into Amplified, so the gun stays paced around careful shots. Projectiles are built around ARC detonation, which is why pure Raider pressure belongs on another platform or a covering secondary. Level 5 adds +70 max durability and unlocks the three nodes.
| Stat | Amplified Rascal | Anvil | Osprey |
|---|---|---|---|
| Damage | 75 | - | - |
| Fire rate / range | 13.7 / 28.3 | - | 80.3 with Scoped |
| Magazine | 1 | 6 | 8 |
| Stealth | 1 | 10 | 12 |
| Fire mode | Break-Action | Hand cannon | Bolt-action sniper |
| Armor penetration | Very Strong | - | - |
| Level 5 | +70 max durability; nodes | +70; own nodes | +70; own nodes |
Upgrade Path
You need a Rascal Blueprint before any craft line. Rare Amplified guns such as Rascal, Anvil, and Osprey all spend Amplification Module MK. III at the final gate with Gunsmith Level 4 and Research Station Level 4. The table below is the Rascal craft ladder itself.
| Step | Gunsmith | Inputs | Gain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Craft I | 2 | Blueprint; Advanced Mechanical Components x2; Heavy Gun Parts x3; Canister x5 | Rascal I |
| I to II | 1 | Rascal I; Advanced Mechanical Components x1; Heavy Gun Parts x2 | 7% less reload; +10 durability |
| II to III | 1 | Rascal II; Advanced Mechanical Components x1; Heavy Gun Parts x2 | 13% less reload; +20 durability |
| III to IV | 1 | Rascal III; Advanced Mechanical Components x2; Heavy Gun Parts x2 | 20% less reload; +30 durability |
| IV to Amplified | 4 | Rascal IV; Amplification Module MK. III; Research Station 4 | +70 max durability; nodes |
Mk. III Routes
Mk. III has no craft recipe on the item itself. The Mark number matches weapon rarity, not a separate harder dungeon, so Rascal farms volume for Rare Mk. III from the same two pools that also drop other Marks. Bank a Module only when Rascal IV and both Level 4 benches are ready.
| Route | Entry | What you contest | Pick when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fallen Emperor (Pendola Pass) | Emperor Gateway Conduit first (Insulated + Conductive + Plated Couplers + blueprint, or Premium Pass final reward) | Interior panels after the Conduit opens | You can prep the Conduit and want a gated, quieter pull |
| ARC Frigate | Frigate condition on Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, The Blue Gate, Riven Tides, or Pendola Pass | Cargo after Power Cores; boarding competition | The condition is up on a map you know |
Sequence the economy as Module runs, then the IV-to-Amplified craft, then a Fragment buffer before a second permanent node. Empty Fragment income after the first craft leaves you one knockout away from a 10% durability brick.
Nodes
Three nodes change projectile behavior. Choose for the fight you run; the install is permanent. Stacking nodes raises Fragment repair cost, so add a second node only after repairs stay funded.
| Node | Effect | Cost | Fits when | Fails when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| High Velocity | +100% projectile velocity; 50% less ADS dispersion | Pneumatic Actuator x2 | Flight time or ADS bloom causes misses | Misses come from angles or reload exposure |
| Incendiary Grenades | +11.25/s burn, +5s; 40% less projectile damage; 15% less velocity | Fossilized Lightning x3 after Compact Combustion Charges | ARC stays in burn long enough to repay the weaker hit | You need full 75 on one hit, or Lightning is reserved for Anvil X-Rounds |
| Sprint Shooting | Fire while sprinting | Fluted Rotor Core x2 after Mobile-Fire Grip Fittings | You must shoot while moving | Static holds where the Fragment bill buys little |
Fragment Repairs
Repairing any Level 5 amplified weapon requires Amplified Fragments from recycling amplified weapons. Knockout drops reduce durability to 10%, so a looted Amplified Rascal arrives nearly spent and still draws from the same Fragment pool. Crafting your own from a farmed Mk. III keeps the durability budget under your control from the first install. If you top up mats with cheap ARC Raiders Items during prep, keep that buy separate from the gun check: node setup and remaining durability still decide whether the launcher is ready for another raid.
| Nodes installed | Fragments for ~50% repair |
|---|---|
| None | 13 |
| High Velocity | 23 |
| Sprint Shooting | 23 |
| Incendiary Grenades | 21 |
| HV + Sprint | 33 |
| HV + Incendiary | 31 |
| Sprint + Incendiary | 31 |
| All three | 41 |
Keep Module farming, node mats, and Fragments as three reserves. One funded node usually keeps more raids running than a three-node gun stuck broken in stash.
When Rascal Fits
| Situation | Why Rascal is weaker | Better match |
|---|---|---|
| Raider / PvP on-hit pressure | ARC-focused detonation | Anvil X-Rounds |
| Multi-shot pressure | Magazine 1 | Anvil mag 6; Osprey mag 8 |
| Long range | Range 28.3 | Osprey 80.3 Scoped |
| Stealth routes | Stealth 1 | Anvil 10; Osprey 12 |
| One clean full-damage hit | Incendiary cuts projectile damage 40% | Rascal without Incendiary, or another path |
| Lightning already reserved | Incendiary costs Lightning x3 | Anvil X-Rounds same mat family |
| Need to respec later | Amp cannot be removed | Delay the install |
