The Hornet Hunter Set arrived with ARC Raiders Update 1.45.0, and it is already available in the store. Since Frozen Trail is coming on October 8, there is also a separate reason to look at your current currency before spending anything.

So, is the Hornet Hunter Set actually worth getting?

For me, it comes down to how much you care about cosmetics and whether you already have Raider Tokens saved up.

What Is in the Hornet Hunter Set?

The Hornet Hunter Set is a cosmetic collection built around the look of ARC machines. The main outfit has a fairly clean armored design, with the chest piece and helmet doing most of the work.

The set includes:

Hornet Hunter Outfit
Hornet Hunter Scrappy Outfit
Craftsman Backpack

The full bundle costs 1,600 Raider Tokens, discounted from the combined individual price of 2,400. The individual prices are 1,300 Raider Tokens for the main outfit, 500 for the Scrappy outfit, and 600 for the backpack.

There are no combat stats attached to the cosmetics. They are purely for customization.

How to Get the Hornet Hunter Set

The easiest way is simply to check the in-game store and purchase the pieces with Raider Tokens. If you are already comparing different ARC Raiders Items, the Hornet Hunter Set is worth checking out, especially if you prefer cosmetic gear with a more practical and understated look.

If you only want the main outfit, 1,300 Raider Tokens is enough. If you want the whole collection, the 1,600-token bundle makes much more sense because of the discount.

There is no need to complete a quest or grind a special activity to unlock the outfit.

That makes the real question less about difficulty and more about whether you want to spend your Raider Tokens on it.

Is the Hornet Hunter Set Worth It?

I think the outfit looks good, but it is not the most detailed hunter set in ARC Raiders.

The chest armor gives it a strong identity, while the overall design stays fairly simple. That can actually be a positive if you prefer outfits that do not have too much going on.

The helmet is probably the most noticeable part of the set, although whether you like it will come down to personal taste.

Compared with some of the more expensive cosmetic sets, Hornet Hunter feels more straightforward. It is easier to wear without making your Raider look overloaded with armor and accessories.

My Value Breakdown

Overall ValueDepends on your taste

For a cosmetic collector, I think the bundle is reasonably priced. If you only want the main outfit, however, 1,300 Raider Tokens is a much bigger commitment for a single cosmetic.

What About Cred Before October 8?

This is where the timing gets important.

Hornet Hunter uses Raider Tokens, not Cred.

Cred is a separate currency, and Embark has confirmed that it will be retired when Frozen Trail launches on October 8. Any unused Cred remaining on your account will expire, so players should spend it before the update. Existing Raider Deck rewards that you already claimed will stay on your account.

So I would not buy Hornet Hunter just because Cred is expiring. The two currencies are separate.

Instead, check your Cred balance and use that currency where it makes sense, then decide separately whether Hornet Hunter is worth your Raider Tokens.

Who Should Get It?

Cosmetic collectors: Worth considering. The discounted bundle gives you the full set without paying the combined individual price.

Players who like ARC-themed outfits: Probably worth it if the helmet and chest design are your style.

Players with limited Raider Tokens: I would think twice. There are always more cosmetics coming, and 1,300 Tokens is a lot if you only want the outfit.

Players who only care about gameplay: Easy skip. The set does not improve weapons, armor, movement, loot, or survival.

The Hornet Hunter Set is a decent cosmetic pickup, but it is not something every Raider needs.

I would go for the bundle if I already had enough Raider Tokens and liked the design. If I was saving Tokens for another outfit, I would skip it without feeling like I was missing anything important.

The bigger deadline right now is October 8, but that applies to Cred, not the Hornet Hunter Set itself. With Frozen Trail bringing changes to the Raider Deck system and retiring Cred, it is worth checking your currencies now rather than spending them at random.
