Oshaune is the first Termnid Hive World we get to fight on in Helldivers 2, unlocked with the Into the Unjust update. If you've just landed here, you're probably wondering: how do I survive the caves, deal with new bugs, and actually complete the missions without getting stomped into paste? Don't worry—I've been through Oshaune a few times now, and here's the step-by-step breakdown.

If you just need to know how to survive: stick together, light the caves, and always save stratagems for the surface exits.
Personal note: I never go in without at least one person carrying the Recoilless Rifle—when a Charger pops up in a tunnel, you need that firepower instantly.
You'll often start above ground before diving into caves. Two big mission types here:
If you’re heading into Oshaune, don’t forget to prep your gear—half the fight is won before you even drop. I always stock up at the Helldivers 2 items shop first so I’ve got the firepower and supplies ready to handle Dragonroaches and keep that GATER rig safe all the way through.
This is where things get messy.
Visibility drops to zero. Always walk with flashlights and keep your formation tight.
Burrowers strike randomly. Listen for tremors; they'll erupt from below. Mines or stun weapons help a ton.
Hive Lungs objective: These giant, glowing organs pump toxic Gloom gas. To destroy one:
Pro tip: Call in resupplies near cave roof holes (light beams). Stratagems only work at those breach points.
| Enemy | Behavior | Counter |
|---|---|---|
| Dragonroach | Flying acid-spewer, big AoE damage | Focus fire with Spear/Recoilless; spread out |
| Burrow Warriors | Pop up right under your squad | Stun mines or EM weapons |
| Burrow Chargers | Same as above but tankier | Railcannon or coordinated rocket hits |
| Hive Lord | Colossal worm-like beast (possibly unkillable) | Don't waste ammo—focus objectives |
When you hear the Hive Lord roar, don't panic. Just keep moving and finish your mission.
Released September 4, this Warbond gives us some much-needed toys for Oshaune:
If you're struggling, this Warbond is worth grabbing.
Oshaune is brutal, but manageable with the right squad setup:
Play smart, laugh off the chaos, and you'll help push Managed Democracy deeper into the bug homeworlds.
