The latest ARC Raiders Scrappy buff adds Candleberries to the Feed tab and ties that food to Sheet Metal, Planks, and a Research Station materials roll. If you already keep ARC Raiders Items flowing through Workshop crafts, this change matters because Scrappy can now return build mats that never sat in the old passive nest list.
Open Workshop, select Scrappy, then open Feed. Queue Candleberries the same way you queue other Nature foods. The Feed tooltip for Candleberries lists more Sheet Metal, more Planks, and a chance at Research Station materials. That is the whole buff face in one panel.

Feeding Boost already let particular foods widen Scrappy's loot types. Update 2.2.0 added Candleberries as a feed option. The Candleberry row grants a flat Sheet Metal +5 and Planks +5 on a qualifying feed, plus a roll toward Research Station materials. The +5 Sheet Metal and +5 Planks values stay flat even when an Expedition multiplier is active on passive nest totals.
Older passive collection still covers Metal Parts, Fabric, Plastic Parts, Chemicals, Rubber Parts, and Assorted Seeds. Sheet Metal and Planks were not part of that passive set, so the Feed tab is the path that finally pays those two Outpost and furniture sinks through Scrappy.
Research-lane faces documented for the Candleberry pool include Pressure Regulator, Fluted Rotor Core, Emperor Modulator, Laser Level, Hand Drill, Steel Cable, Stencil Parts, Thermal Shaker, Calculator, Turbine Compressor, Mini Pump, Pneumatic Actuator, Insulation Roll, and Vaporizer Regulator. The published list is incomplete, so treat it as a known set rather than a closed catalog. Amplification Modules are not on that list and stay unconfirmed from Candleberry feeds.
Those regulators and rotor cores line up with amplified weapon craft sinks covered in the Amplified Rascal module path, which is why the Feed tab now sits next to research and upgrade benches instead of only topping up early station junk.
Passive nest amounts still scale with Scrappy level, time topside, and extract. At Level 5, a run longer than six minutes returns 13x per basic resource and 8x Assorted Seeds if you fail to extract, or 8x per resource and 8x Seeds if you extract, before any Expedition multiplier. Time is counted from when you personally enter the round, not from the match clock alone. Crossing fifteen minutes topside raises the passive band again; staying past that does not keep scaling forever.
Candleberry feeding sits on top of that loop. One queued berry is eaten after six minutes topside and pays the flat Sheet Metal / Planks boost plus the research roll. Passive basics and the feeding reward are separate claim faces on Scrappy, so a raid can add nest junk even when a feed fails, and a feed can succeed even when extract value is low.
| Return face | Before Candleberry feed | After Candleberry feed (qualifying raid) |
|---|---|---|
| Passive basics | Metal Parts, Fabric, Plastic Parts, Chemicals, Rubber Parts, Assorted Seeds | Same passive set still runs |
| Sheet Metal | Not in passive nest | +5 from Candleberry food boost |
| Planks | Not in passive nest | +5 from Candleberry food boost |
| Research Station materials | Not tied to Candleberry | Chance roll; faces listed above |
| Queue size | Up to 6 Nature foods | Still 6; Candleberries occupy slots like other foods |
| Timer | ≥6 minutes topside for a feed to count | Same 6-minute rule |
One live test claim after a six-minute Pendola Pass extract returned an Epoxy Bucket that recycles into crafting materials. That single claim sits outside the incomplete published face list, so expect odd recyclables as well as named research parts when you empty Feeding Rewards.
Use this short clock when you want proof on your own account.

If Sheet Metal and Planks never appear after a clean six-minute run with Candleberry at the front of the queue, the usual causes are an empty Feed slot, a claim cap already full, or a raid that ended under six minutes of your personal topside time.
Candleberry bushes show as small leafy shrubs with dark red berries. On Pendola Pass they cluster along the frozen riverbank from the southern start, through the map center, out toward the northern transceiver end. Each bush can yield one, two, or three berries. Bush count is high; ripe berry rolls are lower, so empty shrubs in a single raid are normal.

Lush Blooms baskets and cafeteria-style Nature pockets can also dump Candleberries when that condition is up. Raider-style caches and frozen caches along the same corridor are worth a peek, though berry odds there vary. While sweeping the river, you may also brush Fossilized Lightning nodes; that farm loop is covered separately in the Fossilized Lightning farming notes.
Bring enough kit to handle Skullkers on the corridor and the Bully that patrols open river ice with little cover. A naked sprint works for a tiny restock; a full river clear with caches favors light armor and a planned extract after the six-minute mark so the Feed queue advances on the same run that stocked the berries.
Outpost wardrobe storage can hold Candleberries so the stack does not burn stash slots between feeds. Candleberries do not substitute into the Fruit Mix craft slot that only accepts the classic fruit trio—keep Mix crafts and Candleberry feeds on separate piles of ARC Raiders Materials.
Unused Candleberries recycle into 2× Assorted Seeds each. Feeding spends the berry for Sheet Metal, Planks, and the research roll instead of that seed recycle, so decide per stack whether you need seeds for Celeste trades or Outpost mats from Scrappy.
Candleberries do not replace Scrappy level upgrades. Level gates still burn Dog Collar, Lemons, Apricots, Prickly Pears, Olives, Cat Bed, Mushrooms, and Very Comfortable Pillows on the Train path. Higher Scrappy levels still raise passive nest bands and feeding reward quality for every food, including Candleberries. Full upgrade bills and classic fruit pools live in the Scrappy upgrades and feeding rewards breakdown.
Workshop QoL now lets you reposition Scrappy in the outpost and rearrange benches more smoothly. That helps keep Feed, Research, and Gunsmith in one glance path, but it does not change the six-minute feed math or the five-round claim caps.
Under six minutes topside: the front Candleberry stays in queue and no feeding reward posts for that raid.
Five unclaimed feeding rewards already waiting: new feeding results stop until you claim. Clear Feeding Rewards before long farm sessions.
Five uncollected passive rounds: Scrappy stops adding nest basics until you empty the collection box, even if Feed still looks stocked.
Empty river bushes: bush density is high, berry roll is low. Rotate another Pendola Pass instance or wait for a Lush Blooms window instead of forcing the same empty shrubs.
Wrong food at the front of the queue: Scrappy eats the front item first. If an Apricot sits ahead of your Candleberries, you get the Apricot pool that raid.
Expecting Amplification Modules from Candleberries: that drop is not on the published Candleberry face list. Keep module hunting on Frigate and amplified craft routes rather than the Feed tab.
The Scrappy buff is real on the Feed tab: Candleberries in, Sheet Metal and Planks on a six-minute clock, research parts on a chance roll. Queue the berries, clear both claim caps, and treat empty bushes as a map reroll—not a broken Feed panel.
