Season 06: The Haunting adds a new limited-time Multiplayer experience to Black Ops 7 called T.E.D.D. Trials. This 6v6 mode brings locations from Zombies into Multiplayer, allowing players to fight enemy Operators while also dealing with Zombies and completing special Trials.

With Ray Guns available during the mode and five different T.E.D.D. Trials rotating throughout a match, the gameplay is very different from a standard 6v6 playlist. Here is what you need to know about the mode, its maps, and how to approach each match.

What Is T.E.D.D. Trials?

T.E.D.D. Trials is a limited-time 6v6 Multiplayer mode introduced during Season 06: The Haunting.

The mode combines traditional Multiplayer combat with Zombies gameplay. Two teams compete while Zombies appear around the map, creating additional threats during fights.

Each match features a rotating set of five T.E.D.D. Trials. Completing these Trials contributes to the team's score, so players need to balance normal combat with the active objectives.

The first team to reach the Score Limit wins. If neither team reaches the limit before the match ends, the team with the higher score takes the win.

This makes T.E.D.D. Trials more objective-focused than a standard kill-based Multiplayer match.

T.E.D.D. Trials Maps

The playlist features three Zombies locations adapted for 6v6 Multiplayer.

Roadkill

Roadkill is based on the Exit 115 location from Ashes of the Damned.

The map brings the recognizable diner setting into Multiplayer and provides several routes for players to move between combat areas and Trial objectives.

Inferno

Inferno is based on Kowakujō.

The map uses the volcanic surroundings of the Zombies location and has a very different atmosphere from Roadkill. Players need to pay attention to the available routes while fighting both enemy Operators and Zombies.

Lost

Lost is based on the Eidskallen Lighthouse location from Totenreich.

The frozen island setting gives the map a different layout and visual style. Learning the main routes is particularly useful when rotating toward active Trials.

How T.E.D.D. Trials Work

The Trial system is the main feature that separates this playlist from normal Multiplayer.

Five Trials are selected during a match, and the active objective changes as the game progresses. The exact task can vary, so players need to pay attention to what T.E.D.D. is asking the team to accomplish.

Some objectives involve fighting Zombies or using specific weapons, while others can change how players approach different areas of the map.

You should not treat the Trials as optional side activities. They are part of the scoring system, which means a team that completely ignores them can give the opposing team an easy way to build a lead.

At the same time, focusing too heavily on a Trial can leave your team exposed to enemy players.

Ray Guns and Zombies

Ray Guns are one of the most unusual features of T.E.D.D. Trials.

Players can use Ray Guns while dealing with Zombies, giving the mode a weapon option that normally belongs to the Zombies side of Black Ops 7.

The Ray Gun is useful for clearing groups of Zombies and can also be relevant to certain Trials.

However, it should not replace your regular Multiplayer weapon.

If enemy Operators are nearby, switching your attention entirely to Zombies can leave you vulnerable. Keep track of both threats and use the Ray Gun when it provides a clear advantage.

T.E.D.D. Trials Gameplay Tips

Pay Attention to the Active Trial

Always check which Trial is currently active.

If the objective is worth pursuing, rotate toward it with your teammates instead of continuing to fight in an area that has little impact on the score.

Keep Watching for Enemy Players

Zombies are not the only threat.

While completing a Trial, the opposing team can use the distraction to push your position. Keep an eye on common routes and avoid standing in open areas for too long.

Use the Map Layout

The three locations come from Zombies, but they have been adapted for Multiplayer.

Learn the important rooms, lanes, entrances, and chokepoints. Knowing these routes makes it easier to rotate toward objectives without taking unnecessary fights.

Use the Ray Gun at the Right Time

The Ray Gun is especially useful when several Zombies are grouped together or when a Trial calls for it.

Do not waste your opportunities by using it every time a Zombie appears. Keep your normal weapon ready when you expect enemy Operators to be nearby.

Coordinate With Your Team

A coordinated team can divide responsibilities without completely separating from each other.

Some players can work toward the active Trial while others watch nearby lanes and protect the objective area. Once the Trial changes, the team can rotate and adjust accordingly.

Tips for Each Map

The three maps require slightly different approaches.

Roadkill: Learn the routes around the diner and the surrounding combat areas. Use the available cover when dealing with Zombies and enemy players at the same time.

Inferno: Pay attention to the volcanic environment and the routes around Kowakujō. Avoid getting trapped while rotating between objectives.

Lost: Learn the paths around the Eidskallen Lighthouse and the surrounding areas. Knowing where players can approach from makes Trial rotations safer.

The more familiar you become with each location, the less time you will spend figuring out where to go when a new Trial appears.

T.E.D.D. Trials and Season 06 Challenges

T.E.D.D. Trials can also be useful for players working through Season 06 event challenges.

Some challenges associated with the Camo Costume Party event require specific Multiplayer actions or weapon kills in T.E.D.D. Trials.

If you are working toward these challenges, check their exact requirements before entering the playlist. You can then build your loadout around the required weapon and make progress while playing the mode normally.

This is more efficient than completing the same challenge separately after finishing your regular matches.

T.E.D.D. Trials gives Black Ops 7's Season 06 Multiplayer lineup a different type of 6v6 experience.

The combination of Zombies locations, enemy Operators, Ray Guns, Zombies, and rotating T.E.D.D. Trials creates a battlefield that is much less predictable than a standard Multiplayer match.

The playlist currently features Roadkill, Inferno, and Lost, while five T.E.D.D. Trials rotate during a match. The key to playing the mode effectively is learning when to focus on the active Trial and when to step back and deal with the opposing team.

Start by learning the three maps, then practice rotating toward objectives while keeping an eye on both Zombies and enemy players. Once those habits become natural, T.E.D.D. Trials becomes much easier to control and is a fun alternative to the usual 6v6 Multiplayer experience. Players looking for a more controlled practice environment may also come across the term CoD BO7 Bot Lobby, although the main focus of T.E.D.D. Trials remains its unique mix of Multiplayer combat and Zombies gameplay.
