In Diablo 4 Season 7, there's a new and exciting feature called Rootholds. These are special mini-dungeons that offer fun challenges and great rewards. Let's learn about them in simple words.

Rootholds are small dungeons filled with enemies called Headrotten. Inside, you'll find Exposed Roots. When you interact with these roots, monsters will appear. Defeating them helps you move forward in the dungeon. At the end, there's a big boss waiting for you.

To go into a Roothold, you need a special item called a Whisper Wood Sigil. You can find these in Whisper Caches and Silent Chests. Once you have a sigil, use it from your inventory, and a portal will open, taking you straight to the Roothold.

When you're inside, you'll see four things you can interact with: Rites, Rituals, or Ceremonies. Activating these adds challenges to the dungeon, making it more fun and rewarding. As you go through, look for Exposed Roots. Click on them to make enemies appear, defeat them, and keep moving. After clearing all the roots, you'll face the final boss, which could be a Headless Husk or a Fugitive Head.
Completing a Roothold gives you cool rewards:
1. Fugitive Heads: These can be traded with the Coven for special Diablo 4 Items. They usually drop from bosses with their heads still attached.
2. Restless Rot: This is a special currency dropped by Headrotten enemies. You can use it to craft Occult Gems or upgrade your Witchcraft Powers at the Witches’ Altar.

3. Veiled Crystals and Legendary Gear: These are powerful items that can help make your character stronger.
