The ARC Frigate is one of the biggest challenges introduced in the ARC Raiders Frozen Trail 2.0 update. This massive airborne warship brings new objectives, dangerous ARC enemies, and valuable rewards that make it worth exploring for players looking to progress through the new Weapon Amplification system.

But getting aboard is only the beginning. You must navigate the ship's interior, destroy its Power Cores, survive Hydra turrets and other ARC defenses, and reach the Cargo section before you can claim the best rewards. Other Raiders may also be trying to complete the same objectives, turning the encounter into a dangerous mix of PvE combat and PvP competition.

This ARC Raiders Frigate guide explains how to find the event, board the ship, complete its main objectives, defeat Hydra, and collect Amplification Modules before extracting safely.

What Is the ARC Frigate in Frozen Trail 2.0?

The ARC Frigate is a special map condition introduced in the October 8, 2026, Frozen Trail update. Unlike a regular ARC encounter, it involves boarding a huge airborne vessel and exploring its interior rather than fighting everything from the ground.

The Frigate rotates across several maps, including Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, The Blue Gate, Riven Tides, and Pendola Pass. Its availability depends on the active map conditions, so check the Map Selection screen before deploying.

The encounter has two main objectives. First, you must find a way aboard and survive the ship's defenses. Then, you can progress through the more demanding sabotage sequence, destroy Power Cores, access the Cargo section, and collect high-value loot.

The main reasons to run the Frigate include:

  • Amplification Modules Mk.I–V: Materials required for the Weapon Amplification system.
  • High-value ARC materials: Useful components for crafting, research, and progression.
  • Frigate loot: Valuable ARC Raiders Items available from breachable containers and the Cargo area.
  • Quest progression: Opportunities to complete Frigate-related objectives involving Hydra, Rocketeers, Vaporizers, and Power Cores.

The Frigate is particularly appealing to endgame players because its rewards are tied to a challenging encounter. However, it is not a safe farming location. Other Raiders can board the same vessel, and cooperation during one objective does not guarantee that another squad will remain friendly afterward.

How to Find and Board the ARC Frigate

Before preparing your route, make sure the ARC Frigate condition is active. The ship does not appear in every raid, and waiting for it on an inactive map will waste your time.

Step 1: Check the Map Condition

Open the Map Selection screen and look for the ARC Frigate condition. Choose a map where it is currently available and equip a loadout suitable for a prolonged combat encounter.

Free Loadouts are disabled during this condition, so bring the equipment you expect to need. You should also leave enough time to complete the objectives and reach an extraction point.

Step 2: Locate the Frigate

Once deployed, look toward the sky for the enormous vessel. Pay attention to its position and the surrounding terrain as you approach.

The ship uses smaller circular ARC platforms called Reclaimers to provide a way aboard. These platforms descend toward the surface before returning to the vessel.

Approaching the Frigate can be dangerous because its defenses may fire on nearby targets. Watch for incoming attacks and use available cover instead of running directly into an exposed area.

Step 3: Find a Reclaimer

Move toward a Reclaimer when it descends far enough to reach. A Grappling Hook or Snap Hook can make boarding easier, especially when the platform is above ground level.

Do not assume that every platform will remain accessible indefinitely. Watch its movement and plan your approach before committing to the climb.

Step 4: Use Disrupt to Reach the Ship

Once aboard the Reclaimer, find the interaction point and use the Disrupt action. The platform will carry you upward toward the Frigate.

The disruption sequence provides temporary protection, but it does not make the entire approach risk-free. Stay alert for incoming artillery and other Raiders competing for access.

When the platform reaches the ship, climb or jump onto the hull and enter the vessel.

Boarding tip: Get onto the Frigate early if it is your main objective. Spending too much time looting elsewhere can leave you with insufficient time to complete the encounter and extract.

How to Complete the Boarding the Frigate Quest

The initial Frigate quest introduces the ship's main threats and teaches you how to reach the upper areas.

Its objectives include boarding the vessel and dealing damage to three ARC enemy types:

  • Hydra: A stationary multi-section turret with several weapons.
  • Vaporizer: An ARC enemy that attacks with lasers.
  • Rocketeer: A flying enemy that launches rockets.

For the damage objectives, you generally do not need to deliver the final blow. Focus on dealing the required damage while staying alive.

The upper sections of the Frigate are important because they contain these enemy types and provide access to later objectives. Move carefully through the ship, use cover, and avoid engaging several dangerous enemies in exposed areas at the same time.

Completing the initial quest also helps prepare you for the more demanding Disrupting the Frigate objective.

How to Destroy the Frigate Power Cores

Destroying the Power Cores is the central part of the Frigate sabotage sequence. You must navigate the ship, activate mechanisms, and expose the vulnerable components before you can destroy them.

Find the Routes to the Upper Deck

The Frigate contains multiple passageways and interconnected sections. Explore the available routes instead of assuming that the main corridor leads directly to every objective.

Yellow nodes and nearby mechanisms can control platforms or open paths through the ship. Shoot the appropriate nodes when you encounter them, then use the newly accessible routes to continue.

A Grappling Hook or Snap Hook can help you reach certain elevated areas without taking every intended route, but it does not automatically complete the required objectives.

Activate the Central Mechanism

The central Power Core sequence requires three Raiders to operate separate levers and raise the core into a vulnerable position.

Before starting, make sure the surrounding area is reasonably clear of enemies. Assign one player to each lever and coordinate the interactions.

Once the mechanism exposes the Power Core, concentrate fire on its glowing orange components. Avoid wasting ammunition on protected sections when the vulnerable parts are available.

This is one of the biggest reasons a coordinated squad is recommended. A trio can handle the mechanism directly, while solo or duo players may need to coordinate with other Raiders to complete the full sequence.

Destroy the Remaining Power Cores

The Frigate's upper structure contains additional Power Cores. Continue exploring the available routes and use the nearby mechanisms to reach them.

Watch for ARC defenses while moving between objectives. Rocketeers, Vaporizers, and Hydra turrets can make exposed routes extremely dangerous, particularly when several enemies attack at once. Keep an eye out for useful ARC Raiders BluePrints while exploring side rooms and containers, but prioritize survival and completing the encounter over collecting every piece of loot.

If you cannot progress to the next objective, check whether you have missed a required Power Core or an access mechanism. Do not assume that destroying the first visible core completes the sabotage sequence.

Important: Learn the layout as you play. Some routes and interactions can be difficult to identify during an active fight, and the safest path may depend on your equipment and the enemies currently covering the area.

How to Beat Hydra in ARC Raiders

Hydra is one of the most dangerous threats aboard the Frigate. It is a stationary turret composed of three stacked, independently moving sections that can put significant pressure on Raiders.

The best strategy is to use cover, divide its attention, and coordinate attacks rather than exposing the entire squad from one position.

1. Spread Out and Use Cover

Avoid standing together in the same exposed location. Hydra can threaten multiple players, so grouping up makes it easier for the squad to take damage simultaneously.

Instead, spread out enough to approach from different angles while remaining close enough to provide support and revive teammates.

Use solid cover whenever possible. Peek out to attack, then return to safety rather than remaining exposed while firing an entire magazine.

2. Make Use of Different Firing Angles

Hydra's separate sections can pressure different targets. When one player draws its attention, teammates should use the opportunity to attack from another angle.

Move when Hydra changes its targeting behavior, and avoid staying in one position for too long. Coordinated movement is generally safer than trying to defeat the turret through raw damage alone.

3. Watch for Supporting ARC Enemies

Hydra rarely makes the surrounding encounter easy. Rocketeers can punish players who remain exposed, while Vaporizers add dangerous laser attacks to the fight.

Deal with supporting enemies when they threaten your ability to use cover, reposition, or complete an objective. Ignoring them while everyone focuses on Hydra can quickly turn a manageable fight into a squad wipe.

4. Preserve Ammunition and Healing Supplies

Hydra encounters can consume significant resources. Bring sufficient ammunition and healing items before entering the ship, and avoid wasting shots on sections that are not taking effective damage.

If a teammate goes down, check whether it is safe to revive them before committing. A poorly timed rescue can expose the rest of the squad to the same attacks.

How to Complete the Disrupting the Frigate Quest

The sabotage quest takes you deeper into the encounter and combines several combat and exploration objectives.

Its objectives include destroying the required Power Cores, accessing and looting the Cargo section, and defeating specified numbers of Hydra, Rocketeers, and Vaporizers.

The exact progress you make will depend on which enemies you encounter and which objectives you complete during the raid. Keep track of your quest requirements so you do not spend unnecessary time fighting enemies that are no longer needed.

Focus on Objectives in a Practical Order

Start by reaching the upper sections and identifying the Power Core mechanisms. Deal with dangerous ARC enemies that block your route, then complete the core objectives.

Once the required sabotage objectives are finished, move toward the Cargo section and look for the panels and access routes that lead farther into the ship.

If you are completing the quest for the first time, prioritize learning the layout over collecting every container. Once you know the route, subsequent runs become easier to plan.

How to Unlock the Cargo Section

The Cargo section is one of the main reasons to complete the Frigate encounter. It provides access to valuable containers and additional loot after you progress through the required objectives.

Step 1: Finish the Required Sabotage Objectives

Confirm that the required Power Cores have been destroyed and that the encounter has progressed to the Cargo objective.

If the route remains blocked, revisit the relevant mechanisms and check for an unfinished objective rather than repeatedly interacting with the same locked panel.

Step 2: Follow the Cargo Route

Move toward the side sections of the Frigate and search for the panels that provide access to the Cargo route. Open the available panels and continue through the exposed sections.

Pay attention to gaps and elevated platforms. A Grappling Hook or Snap Hook can make traversal easier, but careless movement can leave you falling from the ship.

Step 3: Find the Cargo Access Mechanism

Continue through the accessible panels until you reach the mechanism that opens the next route. A yellow valve is involved in the documented Cargo sequence; interact with the environment as required to open the path.

Keep your squad together as you progress. An isolated player is more vulnerable to ARC enemies and rival Raiders, particularly in narrow passages where escaping an attack can be difficult.

Step 4: Loot the Cargo

Once you reach the Cargo area, search the available containers carefully. This is a high-priority loot destination, especially if you are trying to collect materials for Weapon Amplification.

Do not assume that every container will contain an Amplification Module. Loot varies, and the best strategy is to search thoroughly while keeping enough time to leave the raid.

Where to Find Amplification Modules in ARC Raiders

Amplification Modules are among the most valuable progression materials introduced in Frozen Trail 2.0. They are required for the Weapon Amplification system, which lets players advance supported weapons and unlock additional capabilities.

The two major sources are the Frigate and the fallen Emperor on Pendola Pass.

Best Places to Search on the Frigate

Cargo containers: Prioritize the Cargo area once you have unlocked access. The reward containers are a major reason to complete the encounter.

Breachable containers: Explore the ship's side passages and accessible rooms. Do not follow only the main objective route if you have sufficient time to investigate additional loot locations.

Upper-deck areas: Search accessible rooms and containers after dealing with nearby threats. Be careful about spending too long in exposed locations.

Other accessible loot areas: Collect useful materials as you progress, but balance optional searching against the need to finish the encounter and extract.

What Do Amplification Module Marks Mean?

Amplification Modules come in five marks, from Mk.I to Mk.V. Each mark corresponds to a different weapon rarity requirement.

ModuleWeapon rarity
Amplification Module Mk.ICommon
Amplification Module Mk.IIUncommon
Amplification Module Mk.IIIRare
Amplification Module Mk.IVEpic
Amplification Module Mk.VLegendary

Check the Weapon Amplification interface to confirm which module your target weapon requires before deciding what to keep.

These materials are valuable because they are tied to a specialized endgame progression system. If you find the module you need, secure it in a Safe Pocket whenever possible instead of carrying it unprotected through the remainder of the raid.

Frigate vs. Fallen Emperor: Which Is Better for Modules?

Both activities are important sources of Amplification Modules, but they offer different challenges.

The Frigate requires boarding an airborne vessel, navigating its interior, completing cooperative mechanisms, and surviving its ARC defenses. The fallen Emperor is located on Pendola Pass and provides an alternative route toward the same progression materials.

Choose the Frigate when you are ready for a multi-stage encounter and want to learn its Cargo route. Consider the fallen Emperor when you are preparing to explore Pendola Pass and can meet the requirements for  accessing its interior.

Neither activity should be treated as a guaranteed source of a specific module in every run. Plan around the material you need, the resources you can afford to bring, and your ability to extract safely.

Best Frigate Tips for Solo Players and Squads

Should You Run the Frigate Solo?

Solo players can board the Frigate and complete accessible objectives, but the full encounter is much harder without teammates.

The central mechanism requiring three players is a major obstacle for anyone attempting the complete sabotage sequence alone. You may need to coordinate with other Raiders, and temporary cooperation always carries some risk.

If your main goal is obtaining Amplification Modules efficiently, a coordinated squad is generally the more practical choice.

How Should a Squad Divide Responsibilities?

A simple plan can make the encounter easier to manage:

  • One player watches for incoming ARC threats and provides covering fire.
  • One player focuses on activating mechanisms and progressing the objectives.
  • One player supports combat, watches alternate routes, and helps revive teammates.

These roles should remain flexible. Everyone may need to fight when Hydra or another dangerous enemy threatens the group.

Is It Worth Fighting Every ARC Enemy?

No. Focus on enemies that block your route, threaten an objective, or make it unsafe to interact with a mechanism.

However, do not rush past every enemy without considering the consequences. Leaving several attackers behind in a narrow corridor can make returning to the same area much more dangerous.

The goal is to control the immediate threat and keep moving, not to clear every corner of the ship regardless of cost.

What Should You Do If You Run Out of Time?

Prioritize the main objective and the loot you actually need. If you have already collected an important Amplification Module, do not risk losing it for an optional container.

The Frigate is a long encounter, so starting early and learning a consistent route will usually save more time than trying to loot everything during your first attempt.

How to Extract Safely After the Frigate

Collecting valuable loot is only half the job. You must still survive the remainder of the raid and reach a valid extraction point.

Keep track of the raid timer. Do not begin an extended fight or optional search when you should already be moving toward extraction.

Watch for rival Raiders. Other players may arrive while you are completing objectives or searching Cargo. Listen for nearby combat and avoid unnecessary engagements once you have secured your primary rewards.

Use movement equipment carefully. Grappling Hooks and Snap Hooks can help you navigate the ship, but risky jumps around elevated platforms can undo an otherwise successful run.

Secure important items. Put valuable Amplification Modules into a Safe Pocket when possible, and check your inventory before leaving the area.

Do not overloot. If you already have the materials needed for your next upgrade, prioritize survival over another container.

A successful run is not measured by the number of items you collect. It is measured by the value of the loot you bring back safely.

Is the ARC Frigate Worth It in Frozen Trail 2.0?

The Frigate is worth learning if you want to progress through Weapon Amplification and collect valuable endgame materials. It combines exploration, environmental puzzles, demanding ARC encounters, and competition with other Raiders in a single activity.

The biggest challenge is not simply defeating Hydra. You must understand how to board the ship, navigate its interior, complete the Power Core objectives, reach Cargo, and leave enough time to extract.

For first-time players, preparation and teamwork are more important than rushing. Bring sufficient ammunition and healing, coordinate the multi-player mechanisms, and learn the main route before trying to collect every available item.

If you are farming Amplification Modules, focus on the Cargo section and other accessible high-value loot areas. Secure important materials whenever possible and leave the ship before greed turns a successful run into a loss.

With a reliable squad and a clear objective, the ARC Frigate can become a valuable part of your Frozen Trail endgame progression.
