ARC Raiders Raider Cache Locations Guide

Spent the next three runs kicking myself because I walked right past two fat caches that would have paid for my next augment twice over. That was back in late 2025, right after launch. Now, six months and way too many wipes later, I can spot them in my sleep. And with Shrouded Sky dropping tomorrow, February 24, those sounds are about to matter even more under the new Hurricane winds.

The Experience That Finally Clicked for Me

I ran Dam Battlegrounds solo for a solid week, fifteen drops straight, just hunting caches. First couple runs I stuck to the obvious POIs and came out with scraps. Then I started drifting into the dirt roads and scrub between landmarks, ears open, and everything changed. By run eight my average haul per match had jumped. Not some crazy theory – I literally tracked it in my notebook because I was that fed up with guessing.

How to Actually Spot Raider Caches – The Audio Cue That Saves Runs

Load into any map, drop your volume to about 70 percent so you can still hear footsteps, and listen for it: a soft mechanical whirr followed by a higher ticking, almost like an old Geiger counter. The cache itself is usually a flat metal plate half-buried, with that faded yellow ARC logo, often near a broken signpost or tire pile. I chose audio first because in the Hurricane condition coming tomorrow, visibility is going to suck – wind kicks up dust and rain, so your eyes will lie to you. Sound never does.

Why These Routes Work Better Than Random Wandering

On Dam Battlegrounds I settled on four main loops after testing every possible path. Here is why each one earns its spot.

Route A – Southern scrub (yellow on most maps): Highest density early game, only three ARC spawns to dodge, lets you hit extraction with full bags before the lobby heats up. Route B – Water Treatment perimeter (green): Safer for mid-tier gear, fewer players push it because the swamp slows movement, perfect when you are carrying heavy loot. Route C – Northern ridges (purple): Riskier but the rewards spike – two caches almost always spawn together near the old radio tower. Route D – Eastern ridge line (blue): Best for late-circle plays, you circle back to hatch while everyone else is fighting in the center.

I picked these after 20 timed runs because they respect the one big boundary: never overstay. Ten minutes max per route or you are asking to get third-partied.

Quick Map Breakdown for the Other Zones

Buried City: Stick to the outer ring of Marano Park and the old metro entrances. The sand hides the plates but the ticking cuts right through the wind. Spaceport: Focus on the fuel lines and service roads between hangars – avoid the launch tower unless you are geared. Blue Gate: Warehouse Complex and the checkpoint outskirts. The rocky terrain makes the signs stand out once you know what to look for.

The Exact Test You Can Run Tonight

Drop Dam Battlegrounds, pick southern spawn, follow Route A exactly as marked on the community maps everyone shares on metaforge.app. Count how many caches you hit in the first twelve minutes, then extract. Do it three times back to back. My personal average was 5-7 good ones per run. You will see the same numbers if you stay quiet and use the sound. Try it with and without headphones – the difference is night and day.

Smart Strategy and the Lines You Should Not Cross

Always keep one eye on the storm timer and one ear on that ticking. If you hear heavy footsteps or drone hum, leave the cache and reposition. The loot is great but not worth a full squad wipe. In the new Hurricane weather, visibility drops so hard that pushing a contested cache becomes pure gambling. I learned that the hard way twice last weekend.

Skip the Early Wipe Festival If You Want Real Progress

Look, I love the struggle, but sometimes you just want to practice routes without getting clapped by a fully kitted squad in minute three. A lot of the serious raiders I squad with quietly buy ARC Raiders items on U4GM.com to grab solid weapons and augments right away. Lets you focus on learning the map instead of scraping by with starter scrap.

After all those hours in the dust and rain, I can tell you Raider Caches are still the most consistent way to build a real stash in ARC Raiders. The new Shrouded Sky update is only going to make them more important. Get out there, ears open, and respect the boundaries. You will feel the difference on your very next drop.

Let me know which route clicked for you first. I am always tweaking mine.
