The Snap Hook Blueprint is the learnable gate for the Legendary Quick Use grappling gadget on the ARC Raiders Items ladder. Community storm farm loops queue the Electromagnetic Storm map condition on Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, or The Blue Gate, then open high-density indoor containers—kitchen drawers, cabinets, lockers, and residential breach crates—because that condition raises loot value while those rooms pack more rolls per minute. This page locks the storm deploy check, the container priority, the Utility Station 3 craft bill (Power Rod, Steel Cable, Exodus Modules), and the live 18 m range / repair numbers so a learned print turns into a working Snap Hook instead of a Safe Pocket paperweight.
Electromagnetic Storm is a rotating major map condition. Lightning strikes the surface, damages and briefly stuns struck Raiders and ARC, cuts active Return Points, disables Raider Hatches, and marks increased loot value on the affected map. The condition currently rotates across Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, and The Blue Gate. Blue ground glow marks an incoming strike; distance from the strike center scales the damage, and jumping does not clear the vertical radius. Small ARC can die to a strike; larger units can short out under a visible static effect, and flying machines can drop when hit.

On the map deploy screen, read the weather / condition card for the purple-electric storm iconography before you load in. If the card is clear weather or a different major condition, treat the raid as a normal loot run—blueprint rolls still exist in scavenging, but this farm loop is built around the storm loot-value bump and the indoor drawer density that storm lobbies reward. Storm maps also reduce extract options (fewer Return Points, no Raider Hatches), so plan one indoor-heavy path that ends at a live extract instead of stretching a full map museum tour.
Fossilized Lightning can spawn where strikes land—root-like orange-glow nodes that salvage or recycle into Explosive Compound. Those nodes are a side pickup on the same condition, not a substitute for drawer volume when the objective is the Snap Hook Blueprint; storm material loops that bank strike drops sit next to the Fossilized Lightning farm path.
Inside a storm raid, the blueprint can roll from scavenged containers. Volume wins: open every untouched drawer and locker on a short indoor chain rather than chasing landmark POIs that burn minutes between rolls. Players concentrate residential and apartment stacks because kitchen drawers, cabinets, fridges, suitcases, and locker banks sit close together.
| Map (storm-eligible) | High-density indoor focus | Why it earns rolls |
|---|---|---|
| Dam Battlegrounds | Residential / apartment stacks (Ruby & Pale-style blocks); Water Treatment Control lockers; Research / Admin drawer banks | Tight indoor drawer lines; early locker banks set pace before Research upper floors |
| Spaceport | Control Tower interiors; Arrival / Departure buildings; residential-adjacent locker rooms | Stacked indoor containers on a compact vertical footprint |
| The Blue Gate | Village / pilgrim residential interiors; Pilgrim Peak indoor clusters when storm is live | Apartment-style drawer density under the same storm loot-value rule |
A practical Dam storm loop many runners use: spawn → clear Water Treatment Control lockers fast → pipeline into Research / Admin → tunnel toward Loading Bay → zip to the upper Research drawer bank and bias the left-side metal-stairs drawer line first if it looks untouched → extract. If the upper drawers are already stripped, skip coping every side room—take the nearest secondary cluster and rotate to extract. Spaceport runners mirror the same idea inside Control Tower and Arrival / Departure floors: roll containers, do not tour the runway.

When the Snap Hook Blueprint appears in a container, the raid objective is complete. Keep the print in a protected slot, drop bulky low-value stacks if move speed collapses, and path to a live extract under the reduced Return Point set. Over-encumbrance is how storm blueprint runs donate the print to the next squad that hears you shuffle. Do not expand the route into a second map half after the print is bagged unless the path is already clear and weight is still light.
Learned blueprints consume on learn. After you extract, open the workshop learn flow before you spend the print as scrap. The workshop station ladder that gates Utility Station 3—and the scarce parts that feed those upgrades—is the same progression path covered in the Workshop station levels and scarce parts path.
After the blueprint is learned, craft at Utility Station 3 with this bill of materials: 2× Power Rod, 2× Steel Cable, and 1× Exodus Modules. That recipe is the live craft row after Live Update 2.4.0; recycling history for Snap Hook also settles on Steel Cable rather than Rope for material loops. Power Rod crafts at Refiner 3 from 2× Advanced Electrical Components and 2× ARC Circuitry, and it also scavenges from Exodus-tagged loot. Exodus Modules scavenge from Exodus locations, recycle from listed sources, and Celeste stocks 1 per day at 55 coins. Steel Cable scavenges as a Rare recyclable and also feeds other Utility Station recipes such as Zipline.
Repair restores +50 durability for 1× Power Rod and 1× Exodus Modules. Recycling a Snap Hook currently returns 1× Power Rod, 3× Steel Cable, and 2× Advanced Electrical Components per the live Snap Hook page—bank repair rods before you burn the last gadget mid-raid. Finished Snap Hooks also appear as quest and project awards (Belly Of The Beast, Boarding The Frigate, Lost In Transmission, Stable Housing, Trophy Display Stage 5), which hand you the gadget itself rather than the craft print listed under ARC Raiders BluePrints.

Snap Hook is a Legendary Quick Use gadget: weight 5.0, sell value 14,000 coins, stack size 1. Live grapple range is 18 m after the Frozen Trails 2.0 pass (down from 20 m), with durability consumption raised to 4% per use and power cost raised to 60 on that same note. The gadget scales structures, covers gaps, anchors mid-fall to cut fall damage, and can latch onto large ARC hulls or light units for reposition pulls. Gadget slot competition against other Quick Use tools is mapped in the gadgets meta picks sheet—this page only locks the blueprint farm and craft gate, not a ranked gadget list.

Queue until Electromagnetic Storm is live on Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, or The Blue Gate. Run a light kit into the densest indoor drawer line you can reach in the first minutes, open every untouched residential locker bank, and extract the moment the Snap Hook Blueprint is in inventory. Learn the print at base, fund Utility Station 3, craft on 2 Power Rod + 2 Steel Cable + 1 Exodus Modules, and confirm the tooltip still reads 18 m before the next topside.
