Printed Circuit Board is a Rare 3D Printer ingredient in CoD MW4 DMZ. It sells for 500 DMZ Cash, cannot be printed, and does not convert into Electronics. You must loot it and extract successfully to keep it.
Players looking to make selected progression goals more manageable may consider CoD MW4 Bot Lobbies, while keeping their main focus on DMZ crafting requirements and valuable item collection.

The in-game Ingredient Locations hint points to two main areas:
Printed Circuit Boards cannot be crafted. DMZ level 56 awards two for free, but that is only a small head start. No listed DMZ Orders page currently rewards them directly. For players collecting MW4 DMZ Items, Printed Circuit Boards are worth keeping because they are required for several important upgrades and crafting recipes.
The current printer cards list four direct uses for Printed Circuit Boards:
| Use | Boards Required | Full Cost or Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Night Vision Goggles | 3 | 50 Metals and 10 Control Units; unlock by completing the Underground 1/2 Orders page |
| Power Regulator | 3 | 100 Electronics; requires Epic Ingredient Printing |
| Epic Ingredient Printing | 10 | 100,000 DMZ Cash, 10 Binding Catalysts, 5 Military Composites |
| Vendor Item Upgrade I | 10 | 20 Electronic Sensors, 10 CPUs, 2 Prototype RF Modules; available through the Vendor station |
Epic Ingredient Printing is usually the first major target. It costs 10 boards, 100,000 DMZ Cash, 10 Binding Catalysts, and 5 Military Composites. It unlocks several Epic ingredient recipes, including Power Regulators, Nylon Laminate, Ballistic Fabric, and Alloyed Plating. The upgrade is available from the start, but you need all the materials to purchase it.
Vendor Item Upgrade I also requires 10 boards, alongside Electronic Sensors, CPUs, and Prototype RF Modules. It expands Vendor purchase options. Since Prototype RF Modules are a Deathstalker drop, gather the other materials while working toward that requirement rather than spending your first 10 boards elsewhere.
Night Vision Goggles require three boards and the Underground 1/2 Orders completion. They are useful for dark interiors, but they should generally come after you have considered the two 10-board upgrades.
After unlocking Epic Ingredient Printing, you can print one Power Regulator using 100 Electronics and three Printed Circuit Boards. Regulators are then used for several other crafts:
Printing every regulator for one of these recipes requires six Printed Circuit Boards. Gunsmith Upgrade I requires 15 boards if all five regulators are printed. These are indirect costs, so do not confuse them with recipes that consume boards directly.
A practical early reserve is 23 boards: 10 for Epic Ingredient Printing, 10 for Vendor Item Upgrade I, and three for Night Vision Goggles. The level 56 reward covers two, leaving 21 to collect. Adjust this target if you do not need the goggles or are prioritizing a different upgrade.
Usually, no. A board sells for only 500 DMZ Cash, while both major upgrades require 10 boards each. Selling a stack of 10 brings in just 5,000 DMZ Cash and leaves you further from upgrades that require both cash and rare materials.
Keep boards until you have completed the upgrades you actually need and retained a small reserve. After that, surplus boards can be used to print Power Regulators when you have a specific craft in mind. Avoid printing regulators simply to stockpile them without a goal.
Can you craft Printed Circuit Boards?
No. You must loot them or claim the two-board reward at DMZ level 56.
What is the best location?
The in-game hint recommends Haneul Nuclear Reactor and electrical substations. Neither guarantees a board every run.
What should you spend your first 10 boards on?
Epic Ingredient Printing is a strong first target if you also have the cash, Binding Catalysts, and Military Composites. Vendor Item Upgrade I is another 10-board investment.
Players who want to make progression more efficient can consider CoD MW4 Boosting through U4GM while continuing to collect rare ingredients, unlock essential crafting recipes, and prepare for safer DMZ extractions.
