Place into a Skill's Support Gem socket in the Skills Panel to apply its effects to that Skill. You cannot have multiple copies of the same Support Gem socketed at the same time.

Support - Battershout

• Deals Physical Area Damage based on the Broken Armour of the target which this explosion was triggered from
• Explosion radius is 2 metres
• 4% more Damage per 50 Strength
• Deals Physical Damage equal to 50% Broken Armour of the target triggered from
• Does not take into account Overbroken Armour

Battershout is a Support Gem designed for Warcry-based builds. It enables supported Warcry skills to trigger Physical Damage explosions on enemies that have Fully Broken Armour. However, the supported skill itself cannot break armour—it must rely on other skills or mechanics to achieve that.

The key mechanics of Battershout are:

• Consumes Fully Broken Armour on enemies within range to trigger an explosion.
• The damage scales with the amount of Broken Armour on the target.
• Explosion radius: 2 meters, meaning it has some AoE potential.
• 4% more damage per 50 Strength, making it excellent for Strength-stacking builds.
• Deals Physical Damage equal to 50% of the target's Broken Armour.
• Does not count Overbroken Armour, meaning excess armour reduction beyond "Fully Broken" does not contribute extra damage.

2. Ideal Builds for Battershout

Since Battershout relies on enemies having Fully Broken Armour, it works best in builds that can efficiently apply and maintain armour breaking. Below are some ideal build ideas:

A. Warcry-Based Juggernaut or Berserker (Strength Stacking)

• Main Skill: Rallying Cry, Enduring Cry, Seismic Cry
• Scaling: High Strength → Increased Battershout Damage
• Armour Breaking Mechanism: Shattering Steel / Splitting Steel with Impale. Heavy Strike (with Armour Break mod)

Key Items:

• Weapon: One-handed Mace or Axe with "Break Armour" effect
• Body Armour: Kaom’s Heart (for high Strength scaling)
• Jewels: Strength-stacking Abyss Jewels

B. Physical Damage Champion (Warcry + Melee)

• Main Skill: Warcries + Earthshatter or Earthquake
• Scaling: Armour Shattering + Physical Explosion
• Armour Breaking Mechanism: Champion Ascendancy: "Enemies you Taunt take increased damage". Sunder or Smite with Armour Break support

• Weapon: High Physical Damage Two-Handed Axe/Mace
• Helmet: Abyssus (for massive physical scaling)

C. Cast on Warcry Build (Hybrid Physical Caster)

• Main Skill: Infernal Cry + Discharge (Warcry triggers spell damage)
• Scaling: Hybrid Warcry + Spell Damage
• Armour Breaking Mechanism: Infernal Cry causes Fire Explosions on Breakable Armour. Bladefall + Blade Blast combo to soften targets

Key Items:

• Weapon: High Spell Damage Dagger or Staff
• Amulet: The Pandemonious (Cold Penetration & Blind enemies)

3. Synergies & Playstyle Tips

• Use Warcries frequently: Since Battershout relies on Warcries, consider items or passives that reduce Warcry cooldowns.
• Stack Strength for Maximum Damage: 4% more per 50 Strength means that 800 Strength = 64% More Damage, making it an excellent synergy for Juggernaut or Berserker Strength-stacking builds.
• Combine with Armour-Breaking Skills: Since supported skills cannot break armour themselves, ensure another skill is actively breaking enemy armour.
• Avoid Overbreaking Armour: Any Armour Break beyond the "Fully Broken" threshold is ignored, so don't overcommit to excessive armour shredding.
