Dire Maul East, also known as the Warpwood Quarter, is the easiest of the three wings in the Dire Maul dungeon, making it a popular spot for solo farming and "jump runs". It is recommended for players above level 55. This wing is full of satyrs and demons who have warped the natural inhabitants of the zone.

WoW Classic Dire Maul East

Location and Entrance

Dire Maul is located in Feralas and consists of three wings. You can enter Dire Maul East through the main Dire Maul entrance around 59,45 in Feralas. There are three entrances to Dire Maul East:

  • One is on the east wall of the central courtyard in Dire Maul.
  • Another is entered from Eldreth Row at the entrance to Dire Maul.
  • The third entrance is found slightly northeast of Camp Mojache at Lariss Pavillion, but the Crescent Key is required to enter that door.

The first two entrances lead to the upper level of the Warpwood Quarter, while the third requires the Crescent Key and leads to the other end of the instance. To reach the last room with Alzzin the Wildshaper, you’ll need to kill Zevrim Thornhoof and speak to Old Ironbark to open the Conservatory Door inside the instance.

Layout and Objectives

Dire Maul East is non-linear, offering several paths depending on your objective. The main reasons to run this dungeon include:

  • Obtaining the Crescent Key from Pusillin, required to open the West and North wings.
  • Farming Rich Thorium Veins from the tunnel after defeating the final boss, Alzzin the Wildshaper.
  • Solo farming Whip Lashers for loot or experience.

Key Encounters and Loot

The dungeon consists of several bosses, each with their own loot:

  • Lethtendris: Drops the Quel'dorai Channeling Rod.
  • Hydrospawn: Drops the Tempest Talisman and Waveslicer.
  • Zevrim Thornhoof: Drops the Satyr's Bow and Fervent Helm.
  • Alzzin the Wildshaper: Drops the Energized Chestplate, Fiendish Machete, Ring of Demonic Guile, and Ring of Demonic Potency.

For players looking to enhance their farming experience, Dire Maul East offers great opportunities to earn WoW Gold Classic through both loot and resources. The dungeon's efficient layout allows for quick runs, making it an ideal spot for players looking to farm materials like Rich Thorium Veins or valuable items dropped by the bosses. Whether you're farming for personal use or to sell on the auction house, the consistent rewards from a WoW Gold Classic perspective can help you build up your in-game wealth in no time.

Farming and Jump Runs

Dire Maul East is popular for solo farming, often called a "Jump Run," where players jump down from the entrance to the bottom level of the Warpwood Quarter to skip much of the tougher trash at the top. This allows players to target specific mobs and items, such as Warpwood Pods. An entire clear of DM:E usually lasts between 6 to 8 minutes.
