Season 06 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 brings a new Weekly Challenge system alongside The Haunting, new weapons, a fresh Battle Pass, and additional content across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone. Players looking to make steady progress may also come across terms such as CoD BO7 Bot Lobby when discussing faster progression, but the main focus of Season 06 remains completing objectives through the game's regular modes. For players who want to unlock seasonal rewards without spending unnecessary time on difficult objectives, understanding how the weekly system works is more important than simply completing challenges at random.

How Weekly Challenges Work

Weekly Challenges can be found under Career > Challenges > Weekly Challenges. Each week provides objectives across the supported game modes, allowing players to choose the challenges that best fit their normal playstyle.

You do not need to complete every challenge. Completing six Weekly Challenges unlocks that week's Weekly Reward. The six objectives can come from one mode or be spread across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone.

This makes the system much more flexible than a mode-specific progression track. A player who mainly plays Multiplayer can focus on Multiplayer objectives, while Zombies or Warzone players can build their weekly progress around the modes they already enjoy.

What You Can Earn

The Weekly Reward track is more than an XP source. Season 06 adds new equipment rewards, weapon content, and animated weapon camos.

One of the notable rewards is the Pearl Mollusk FG42 weapon blueprint, which is tied to the Weekly Challenge reward system. New attachments are also included along the weekly progression path.

There are also two animated universal weapon camos connected to the seasonal Weekly Rewards:

Jelly — unlocked after earning two Weekly Rewards
Leviathan — unlocked after earning all Weekly Rewards available during Season 06

This gives the system two different progression targets. Jelly is a relatively early milestone, while Leviathan is aimed at players who continue completing the weekly objectives throughout the season.

The Best Way to Approach Each Week

The most efficient strategy is to look at all available challenges before starting a match.

For Multiplayer players, objectives involving normal eliminations, weapon categories, score, or standard gameplay actions can often be completed naturally. Instead of changing your entire loadout for one challenge, it is usually more efficient to select objectives that can progress together.

Zombies can work in a similar way. Challenges involving kills, critical kills, or specific weapon usage can often be combined during the same sessions. Endgame and Warzone objectives can also be useful when they match the way you already play rather than forcing you into an unfamiliar mode.

The key is to avoid treating every challenge as equally important. If six straightforward objectives are available, there is little reason to spend extra time on a complicated requirement unless you specifically need its associated progression.

Combining Weekly and Seasonal Progress

Season 06 also includes Battle Pass progression, the Black Ops 7 Camo Event, and The Haunting content. This means a single play session can contribute toward several progression systems at once.

A good approach is to select Weekly Challenges that fit your current Battle Pass grind or weapon leveling plans. If a challenge requires a weapon you already want to level, it can provide additional value without requiring a separate farming session.

The same principle applies to event progression. Rather than switching between activities after every objective, use the Weekly Challenge menu to build a session around several goals at once.

What to Prioritize

Players who mainly want the weekly rewards should focus on consistency rather than completing every available objective.

Start by checking the current six easiest challenges. Look for objectives that match your preferred mode, combine naturally with weapon progression, and can be completed without changing your normal playstyle.

Once six are finished, the Weekly Reward is secured. From there, players can decide whether to continue toward the next reward milestone, work toward Jelly, or eventually pursue the complete Season 06 Weekly Reward track for Leviathan.

With multiple modes contributing to the same system, Season 06 gives players considerable freedom in how they progress. The most effective approach is simply to plan around the challenges that fit your regular matches instead of forcing every objective into a separate grind.
