Forza Horizon 6 introduces a new collectible system called Treasure Cars, scattered across its expansive Japan map. Unlike Barn Finds, these vehicles are not unlocked through passive discovery events. Instead, players must interpret vague clues and physically drive to hidden map locations.
There are 9 Treasure Cars in total, and collecting all of them unlocks the Treasure Hunter achievement, along with exclusive vehicles added directly to your garage.
This guide breaks down every location with clear directional references so you can drive straight to each one without guesswork.
Treasure Cars are hidden, drivable vehicles placed at fixed world locations. Each one comes with:
• A cryptic text clue
• A partial image hint
• A loosely defined region on the map
However, the actual spawn locations are deliberately tucked away—behind buildings, off dirt roads, or in obscure parking areas.

Map guidance | Minimal | Moderate |

Car | Region | Key Landmark |
Nissan Figaro | Tokyo City | Rainbow Bridge waterside |
Porsche 959 | Shimanoyama | Car park in front of shop |
Lancia Stratos HF Stradale | Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route | Small cabin (west side) |
Dodge Charger R/T | Minamino | Eastern edge of golf course |
BMW M1 | Hokubu | Railway bridge scaffolding |
Ford GT | Nangan | Off-road dockyard car park |
Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE | Ohtani | Near red electricity pylon |
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III | Takashiro | Waterfall dirt road |
Nissan Safari Turbo | Ito | Wind farm under turbine |
The Nissan Figaro is typically the first Treasure Car most players encounter.
Location breakdown:
• Start at Rainbow Run Speed Trap
• Follow the Rainbow Bridge toward the mainland
• Stick to the shoreline road
• Look for a small car park beside a shop
• Face the bridge to confirm correct positioning
This is one of the easiest locations due to strong visual cues from Tokyo’s waterfront skyline.
The Porsche 959 is widely considered the most misleading Treasure Car location.
Navigation strategy:
• Follow the main road through farmland
• Look for a large shop-side car park set back from the road
• Avoid cutting across fields (easy to miss entrance)
• Nighttime improves visibility due to shop lighting contrast
Important note:
The car park entrance is subtle at driving speed—approach from the road rather than off-road traversal.
The Lancia Stratos HF Stradale is located in one of the most visually distinctive regions of the map.
Route instructions:
• Enter Alpine Route from the east
• Exit and immediately circle right
• Locate a small roadside cabin
• The car is parked directly beside it
This is one of the most satisfying discoveries due to the dramatic mountain environment.
The Dodge Charger R/T is tied to the golf course landmark.
How to find it:
• Identify the golf course via bright green fairways
• Locate the figure-eight shaped water hazard
• Travel along the eastern perimeter
• Look for golf carts near a small structure
The Charger sits just beyond this cluster.
The BMW M1 is strongly tied to railway infrastructure.
Navigation clue:
• Follow railway lines in Hokubu
• Search for scaffolding near bridge supports
• The M1 is parked directly adjacent
Once in the correct zone, its bright red body makes it easy to spot.
The Ford GT requires off-road navigation.
Key guidance:
• Ignore dockyard skyline clues (too broad)
• Head toward coastal dirt roads
• Enter off-road car park zone
• Locate the vehicle away from main asphalt routes
Warning:
The dockyard view appears across multiple angles and is not a reliable navigation reference.
The Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE uses a strong visual landmark.
Steps:
• Head to Ohtani region edge
• Look for a large red electricity pylon
• Continue slightly past it toward a white pylon
• RX-7 is parked nearby
The red pylon acts as a clear navigation beacon.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III is a classic rally-themed find.
Location path:
• Follow mountain river system
• Track flow toward waterfall
• Use nearby dirt road access point
• Reach small waterfall-side parking area
This is one of the most atmospheric discoveries on the map.
The Nissan Safari Turbo is the simplest Treasure Car to locate.
Directions:
• Travel to wind farm region (far east)
• Find sharp mountain hairpin roads
• Look directly under turbine structures
The SUV is parked in plain sight beneath one of the turbines.
Completing all 9 Treasure Cars automatically unlocks:
• Treasure Hunter Achievement
• All 9 vehicles added to your garage
• Full usability (tuning, upgrades, customization)
No additional unlock conditions are required beyond physical discovery.
To optimize collection speed:
1. Route by region clusters
Group nearby cars together rather than chasing clues individually. Suggested order:
• Tokyo City → Ohtani → Shimanoyama
• Minamino → Hokubu → Nangan
• Takashiro → Ito → Alpine Route
2. Prioritize difficult finds
• Porsche 959 (hidden car park)
• Ford GT (off-road navigation required)
3. Use time-of-day advantage
Night conditions improve visibility in Shimanoyama due to illuminated storefronts.
4. Bring off-road capable cars
Especially important for Nangan and Takashiro regions.
If you want to acquire these vehicles to build a truly luxurious garage, you will need Forza Horizon 6 Credits. These credits will prepare you for seasonal events, allow you to acquire rare vehicles, perform vehicle upgrades and tuning, and participate in bidding at the Auction House.
