Amazon Games is bringing back several special events in New World: Aeternum, including Double XP Weeks and the Siege of Sulfur world event. These returning features provide players with opportunities to earn valuable rewards while engaging in large-scale battles and progression-boosting activities.

Siege of Sulfur Event: Defend and Earn Rewards
The Siege of Sulfur event offers players the chance to join a team of ten to defend sandwurm eggs from waves of Sulfur Elementals. To succeed, players must work alongside Dunewalker Mages across key locations, including Brightwood, Ebonscale Reach, and Brimstone Sands.

Successful defense efforts are rewarded based on the number of eggs protected. If one egg is defended, participants will receive consumables, a gear score (GS) 700 procedural weapon or armor piece, and a variety of random loot, such as resources or crafting schematics. Defending two eggs increases the quantity of rewards, while successfully defending all three eggs grants two GS 700 procedural weapons or armor pieces, additional consumables, and a guaranteed Obsidian Gypsum.

In addition to these standard rewards, players can earn bonus rewards up to three times per day. The daily reset occurs at 5:00 a.m. PT. These bonus rewards include:

A guaranteed event-exclusive procedural weapon (Epic+, GS 700)
Dark Matter, used for crafting and upgrading gear
A chance to obtain event skins and unique housing items, including the Sandwurm Egg of the Protector

The event is set to run from February 4th to February 24th, providing ample time for players to participate and collect rewards. Notably, this year’s iteration introduces a new opportunity to obtain GS 710 items, increasing the incentive to engage with the event daily.

Double XP Weeks Return

Alongside the Siege of Sulfur, New World: Aeternum is bringing back multiple Double XP Weeks, allowing players to accelerate progression in various skills. The schedule is as follows:

January 29 – February 3: Double Gathering XP
February 25 – March 3: Double Refining XP
March 18 – March 24: Double Weapon XP
April 15 – April 21: Double Weapon XP
April 29 – May 5: Double Refining XP

During each event period, the XP boost will be active from 10:00 a.m. PT on the start date until 10:00 a.m. PT on the end date.
