Step-by-Step Guide: How I Make It Work Every Time

Step 1 – Loadout & Prep Before Drop

Always bring a flashlight stratagem (the handheld beacon works, too).
Take two teammates with crowd-control stratagems (like EM-rails or arcs) to guard the rig.
Drop into a map; wait until the rig is delivered to the surface. Don't chase bugs or go far—stay close to that drop zone.

Step 2 – Deploy & Drive the GATER Rig

Mount the rig—once you're in, the view is limited obviously, so keep your squad tight.
Drive slowly toward a clear area above—you want both ground clearance and access to cave roof holes to call stratagems if things go south.

Step 3 – Extract That Oily Goo

Stop in a safe, flat spot away from acid lakes and spires.
Activate the extraction.
Be ready to stun or repel bugs immediately—if a Hive Lord or Rupture Charger pops up, one wrong move and it's rigpy-bleeped for good. (One shotted me once—I learned.)

Step 4 – Extraction & Bail

When the bar hits 80%, signal teammates to start clearing your exit path.
At 100%, bail—don't wait to mop up. Let your squad escort the rig to extraction or call in an evac stratagem.
