2) Strategic Digging: Instead of digging side by side, it’s recommended to spread out your digging attempts across the map. This strategy minimizes the chances of wasting pickaxes on adjacent empty spaces.

3) Size Matters: Keep a close eye on the size of hidden treasures displayed on the tracker at the top of the map. Understanding the dimensions of each treasure allows you to strategically target potential locations, reducing the likelihood of wasting pickaxes.

4) Corner Hunting: Some players have success by starting their digs in the corners. This method increases the chances of uncovering part of a larger treasure, providing valuable hints about its full location.

5) Checkerboard Pattern: If you completely miss a treasure, consider switching to a checkerboard pattern. This involves alternating your digs in a grid-like manner, which can help you locate other treasures in the vicinity.

6) Logical Elimination: When searching for a specific treasure with a known size, such as one that’s three spaces long, and you find a row of five untouched spaces, dig the middle space. This tactic eliminates the possibility of the treasure being on either side of the middle space.

Treasure Hunt events in Monopoly GO usually has no set date for when they happen because the developer, Scopely, might change things up depending on when other big events like Golden Blitz, Partner Events, and Prize Drops are happening.
