Maraudon is a large dungeon in Desolace in WoW Classic, serving as the final resting place for Zaetar, son of Cenarius. Zaetar and Theradras, princess of the earth elementals, are the creators of the centaurs who protect the sacred burial grounds. Princess Theradras grieves within the cavern, which is filled with noxious elementals.

Location and Level Recommendations

  • The Maraudon dungeon is located in Desolace, in the Valley of Spears. You can find the entrance by passing through a Stone Door on the west side of the valley around 38, 58.
  • Level Requirement: 30
  • Recommended Level: 46-55

Wings and Bosses Maraudon has three wings, each with different level and setup requirements:

  • Purple Side: Tinkerer Gizlock, Lord Vyletongue
  • Orange Side: Noxxion, Razorlash
  • Poison Falls: Celebras the Cursed, Meshlok the Harvester (rare)
  • Earth Song Falls: Landslide, Rotgrip, Princess Theradras

For the Inner wing, Earth Song Falls, it is recommended to gather a group of level 48-50 players.

With its challenging bosses and valuable loot, many players find themselves spending considerable time in Maraudon. For those looking to optimize their character's gear or simply enhance their gameplay experience, some turn to external resources. There are many sites that offer ways to buy wow gold to acquire powerful equipment and consumables to aid in conquering this expansive dungeon.

Quests There are many interesting quests for Maraudon, some done outside of the dungeon. Rewards include Thrash Blade and Mark of the Chosen.

General Maraudon Quests

  • The Pariah's Instructions is obtained from Centaur Pariah in Desolace (50,86). The reward is Mark of the Chosen. To complete the quest, kill The Nameless Prophet between Maraudon's external door and the 3-way fork for Amulet of Spirits. Then, use the amulet to make each Khan hostile, and kill them for their gems:
    • Kolk is inside the fork's middle path.
    • Gelk is within the fork's left (purple) path, outside the instance portal.
    • Magra can be found in the fork's right (orange) path, outside the instance portal.
    • Maraudos patrols inside the purple fork's instance portal, in the path you need to take to get to Lord Vyletongue.
    • Veng lurks within the orange fork's instance portal, along the path you need to take to get to Noxxion.
  • Legends of Maraudon starts with Cavindra soon after entering the orange path. To complete it, kill Noxxion in the orange instance for Celebrian Rod and Lord Vyletongue in the purple instance for Celebrian Diamond. After killing these bosses, continue through the dungeon to Celebras the Cursed to spawn his ghostly version. Turn in the quest to get Scepter of Celebras, which teleports you to this area from the fork's middle path.

Quests in Inner Maraudon

  • Corruption of Earth and Seed can be picked up outside the Horde / Alliance flight path hubs in Desolace (around 26,76 and around 63, 09, respectively), as soon as you hit Level 45. This quest requires you to kill Princess Theradras and has weapon rewards for all classes, including Thrash Blade.
  • Seed of Life can be picked up from Zaetar's Spirit after you kill Princess Theradras. Turn this quest in at Keeper Remulos in Moonglade for a small experience boost.

Scepter of Celebras

The Scepter of Celebras allows you to skip two wings of the dungeon and gain access to the Green Wing near Earth Song Falls. The scepter creates a portal outside the dungeon that allows access to Green Wing, which in turn grants access to later bosses including Princess Theradras.

Inner Maraudon Layout

To get to Earth Song Falls, take the middle path, or go through the left path and drop down on the bridge. Use the Scepter of Celebras near the altar to open a portal to Earth Song Falls. From Earth Song Falls, proceed into the cave opening and follow the linear path until you arrive at a ramp leading upwards. After climbing the first ramp, you will notice an opening ahead that leads to Tinkerer Gizlock. If you don't need his loot, ignore this opening. Once you are back, climb the other ramp to a bridge. On the other side of the bridge is another fork: the right side leads to Landslide, and the left side leads to Princess Theradras, with Rotgrip in the lake beneath her cradle.
