Season 14 is entering its final stretch, so now is a good time to stop chasing every possible upgrade and start preparing for Diablo 4 Season 15.
For most players, the goal is simple: finish the Season 14 rewards that still matter, spend seasonal resources wisely, organize your Eternal characters, and prepare for the new Rebirth system.
1. Finish Your Important Season 14 Goals
Before doing more farming, check your Season Journey and Season Rank.
If you are close to an important reward, finish it now. Season Journey rewards, useful caches, cosmetic Diablo 4 items, and other progression rewards are still worth picking up before the season ends.
Also check your Reliquary and make sure you have claimed everything you have already earned.
You do not need to complete every single objective, though. If a difficult challenge will take hours for a reward you do not really need, your time may be better spent elsewhere.
2. Farm With a Purpose
Late-season farming should be more focused than early-season farming.
If you still need a Mythic Unique, an important build item, crafting materials, or gold, keep farming. If your build is already complete, there is little reason to grind endlessly for tiny upgrades.
Good late-season targets include:
Mythic Uniques
Build-defining gear
Gold and crafting materials
Endgame boss materials
Remaining Season Journey rewards
Tower or leaderboard goals
The easiest rule to remember is:
Farm because you need the reward, not because you feel like you should keep farming.
3. What Should You Stop Hoarding?
Do not assume every Season 14 resource will be useful after the seasonal reset.
Season-specific currencies, activities, progression, and temporary bonuses are designed for the current season. If you still have a good reason to spend them, use them before Season 14 ends.
This includes unused seasonal progression and Smoldering Ashes that can still improve your current Season 14 Blessings.
At the same time, do not throw away valuable permanent items just because Season 15 is approaching. Normal gear, gold, and other long-term resources should be handled separately from temporary seasonal mechanics.
When in doubt, check the final in-game rollover information before making decisions about valuable materials.
4. What Happens to Your Seasonal Character?
Your Season 14 character does not simply disappear when the season ends.
Seasonal characters move to the Eternal Realm, where you can continue using them after the seasonal content is over.
Your character and its equipment remain available, but Season 14-specific systems and progression will no longer operate as an active seasonal experience.
So there is no need to rush just because you are worried about losing your character. Instead, use the remaining time to complete goals that only matter while Season 14 is active.
5. How Rebirth Works in Season 15
Rebirth is one of the biggest changes to the seasonal transition.
The system allows you to take an Eternal character and turn it into a Seasonal character for Season 15. The character returns to Level 1, but its identity and cosmetic setup are preserved.
Rebirth keeps things such as your:
Class
Character name
Appearance
Normal or Hardcore status
Transmogs
Mounts and accessories
Pets
Portals
Headstones
Accumulated playtime
However, Rebirth is not a way to carry your fully geared endgame character into the new season. Your equipment and inventory items need to be moved to your Eternal stash first.
6. Who Should Use Rebirth?
Rebirth is a great option if you already have an Eternal character that you like.
It makes sense if you want to keep the same name, appearance, class, or cosmetic setup while starting the new seasonal journey from Level 1.
If you want to play a completely different class, however, creating a new Seasonal character may be simpler.
Before using Rebirth, make sure you:
Move valuable gear to your Eternal stash.
Empty the character's personal inventory.
Unequip all gear.
Confirm the correct character.
Check the Normal or Hardcore status.
Read the confirmation warning carefully.
Do not assume your old equipment will come with you.
7. Prepare for Season 15
You do not need to predict the entire Season 15 meta before launch.
Instead, clean up your Eternal stash, decide which class you want to play, and prepare a basic leveling plan.
It is also worth keeping up with official Season 15 information because PTR features can change before the live season begins.
Final 72-Hour Checklist
During the final days of Season 14:
The end of Season 14 is not about doing everything. It is about getting the most value from the time you have left.
Finish what matters, spend what is useful, clean up your characters, and enter Season 15 with a clear plan.
