MW4 DMZ High-Tenacity Fibers Location Guide

High-Tenacity Fibers are a rare crafting material in CoD MW4 DMZ. They are required for Uncommon Ingredient Printing and several equipment recipes, making them worth collecting before spending resources on other upgrades.

The main locations are the Chang-san Air Base armory, Chang-san Air Base barracks, and the La Grande Vie rooftop at Songdo Wharf. You can also receive High-Tenacity Fibers from the DMZ Level 53 reward.

MW4 DMZ High-Tenacity Fibers Location Guide

Where to Find High-Tenacity Fibers

Songdo Wharf: La Grande Vie

Songdo Wharf is a useful starting point when you want to collect fibers with less pressure than the Chang-san route.

  • Climb La Grande Vie and search the rooftop.
  • Check the 13th floor for fibers that spawn as floor loot.
  • Inspect open surfaces as well as containers.
  • Extract when you have collected valuable materials, and store fibers in a Secure Slot when available.

If you find no fibers after a short search, switch to Chang-san on your next deployment rather than repeatedly clearing the same floors.

Songdo Wharf can also support other resource runs when relevant enemies or objectives are nearby. However, Netshin Tech Complex is mainly associated with Comms Modules and CPUs, so do not confuse its server rooms with fiber locations.

Chang-san Air Base: Armory and Barracks

Chang-san Air Base is the alternative when Songdo Wharf produces little or no loot. The area has a higher threat level, so prepare for tougher encounters.

Search the armory and barracks, which are the main locations indicated for High-Tenacity Fibers. Do not assume every building at the air base contains them. Hangars and repair bays are more relevant to other crafting materials.

If you are already completing an air-base objective, search the armory and barracks before continuing your mission. Secure any fibers you find and extract when the run becomes too risky.

Why You Need 10 High-Tenacity Fibers

The first major requirement is Uncommon Ingredient Printing. Its upgrade cost is:

RequirementAmount
DMZ Cash50,000
Biomaterials20
High-Tenacity Fibers10
Comms Modules5

Unlocking this upgrade makes six ingredient recipes available, including Biomaterials, Control Units, Detonators, Electronic Sensors, Reactive Metals, and Rigid Synthetics.

Uncommon Ingredient Printing does not produce High-Tenacity Fibers. You must collect them from their designated locations or receive them through the level reward.

Comms Modules are a separate ingredient with different farming locations. Gather both materials independently before attempting the upgrade.

Other Recipes That Use High-Tenacity Fibers

High-Tenacity Fibers remain useful after Uncommon Ingredient Printing is unlocked.

Recipe or itemFiber requirement
Uncommon Ingredient Printing10
Ballistic Fabric3 per print
Durable Gas MaskCheck the live printer recipe
Large Scavenger BackpackCheck the live printer recipe
Medium Weapon BackpackCheck the live printer recipe

Ballistic Fabric requires 100 Synthetics and 3 High-Tenacity Fibers, along with the Epic Ingredient Printing unlock. It is also used in later armor crafting.

The printer’s current recipe card should be your reference for the exact costs of the gas mask and backpack recipes. Save the first ten fibers for Uncommon Ingredient Printing if that upgrade is still locked.

Best Farming Strategy

Use these steps to collect fibers without wasting deployments:

  • Start at Songdo Wharf. Search La Grande Vie’s rooftop and 13th floor.
  • Rotate to Chang-san. If Songdo yields nothing, search the armory and barracks on your next run.
  • Track your total. Keep collecting until you have ten fibers for Uncommon Ingredient Printing.
  • Secure valuable loot. Use a Secure Slot when available and extract before taking unnecessary risks.
  • Farm for later recipes. After unlocking Uncommon Ingredient Printing, collect additional fibers for Ballistic Fabric and equipment crafts

Do not rely on assumed drop rates or fixed refresh times. Use your actual stash count and the current printer requirements to decide when to stop farming.

DMZ Level 53 Reward

DMZ Level 53 awards High-Tenacity Fibers, providing an additional source for your crafting stash. This reward can help you reach the ten-fiber requirement, but it does not replace the Songdo Wharf and Chang-san farming routes.

After claiming the reward, check your stash before deploying again. If you are still short of ten fibers, continue farming the two main locations.

Players looking for a more efficient way to practice combat and improve their progression can consider Bot Lobbies MW4 as an option. They can provide more opportunities to work on aiming, weapon handling, and combat strategies while spending less time struggling through repeated encounters, helping players build confidence before taking on tougher DMZ objectives.

Prioritize Songdo Wharf for your first search, then move to Chang-san Air Base if you need more fibers. Save ten for Uncommon Ingredient Printing before using them on secondary recipes, and check the live 3D Printer costs before crafting backpacks or armor materials.

A clear farming route and careful stash management will help you unlock upgrades faster without wasting valuable Rare ingredients.
