The 2026 MLB postseason has brought a wave of new content to Diamond Dynasty, and MLB The Show 26 is already packed with Wild Card and Division Series Programs.
With so many rewards available, it is easy to jump between Programs without actually finishing any of them. If your main goal is improving your Diamond Dynasty lineup, the better approach is to decide which rewards are worth your time and complete those Programs first.
Start With the Wild Card Programs
The three Wild Card matchup Programs are some of the easiest postseason Programs to complete because each one has a 25-point reward path.
The Red Sox vs. Yankees Program ends with 99 OVR Ben Rice.
The White Sox vs. Astros Program ends with 99 OVR Chase Meidroth.
The Cubs vs. Padres Program ends with 99 OVR Gavin Sheets.
Each Program follows a similar structure. Five Moments provide 10 points, while the remaining points come from team-specific missions, team Parallel XP, and 2026 Postseason Series Parallel XP.
This makes these Programs particularly efficient for players who want free 99 OVR cards without spending MLB The Show 26 Stubs.
Ben Rice is one of the better early targets if you need another offensive option.
His postseason card can play first base and has catcher as a secondary position, giving him useful roster flexibility. If your current lineup needs more offensive production or another option at catcher, the Red Sox vs. Yankees Program is a good place to start.
The Program also gives you Willson Contreras and Austin Wells along the way, so you are not only working toward the final reward.
Austin Riley comes from the Phillies vs. Braves Program, which is another strong target for players looking to improve the infield.
The Program rewards Andrew Painter, Chris Sale, Alec Bohm, and Austin Riley as you progress through the 50-point path.
If you need a third baseman, Riley is worth prioritizing. The rest of the reward path also gives the Program more value than simply chasing the final card.
The White Sox vs. Astros Program ends with Chase Meidroth at 25 points.
The path also includes Cam Smith and Jeremy Peña, making it a useful option if you need another position player while working toward the final reward.
The Program is particularly straightforward because its main missions can be completed through normal Diamond Dynasty modes.
The Cubs vs. Padres Program follows the same general structure and ends with Gavin Sheets.
If Sheets fits your lineup or you want to collect the postseason cards, this is an easy Program to complete after the higher-priority rewards are finished.
There is no reason to rush every Wild Card Program at the same time. Pick the card that fills the biggest weakness on your roster first.
Don't Ignore the Retro Division Series Program
The Retro Division Series Program is a longer grind, but it offers several rewards along the way.
The final reward is 99 OVR Anthony Santander, while the earlier reward path includes Rhys Hoskins, Logan Webb, and Gleyber Torres.
The Program requires 50 points, with 10 Retro Division Series Moments providing 30 points. The remaining progression comes from Parallel XP missions involving specific teams.
That makes the Program a good secondary project while you work through the shorter Wild Card Programs.
You can complete the Moments first and then use the required team players in Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest, or other eligible modes to finish the PXP missions.
The Fastest Way to Complete These Programs
The most efficient method is to combine as many missions as possible in the same games.
Start by completing all available Moments. They provide guaranteed Program Points and are usually much faster than trying to earn all of your progress through full games.
After the Moments are finished, check the remaining missions before building your lineup.
For example, a Wild Card Program may require PXP with players from two specific teams as well as PXP with 2026 Postseason Series players. Use eligible postseason cards from those teams whenever possible so that the same game advances multiple objectives.
This is especially useful for the team PXP requirements.
Play vs. CPU Is a Good Farming Option
If you want to control the pace of your grind, Play vs. CPU is one of the easiest options.
Build a lineup around the teams and player types required by your active Programs, then work through the missions without worrying about online opponents.
Mini Seasons and Conquest can also work well when you want to combine Program objectives with other Diamond Dynasty progression.
The key is not the specific mode. The important part is making sure every game contributes to at least one active mission.
A Simple Priority for Postseason Content
If you are starting these Programs now, there is no need to complete everything in release order.
Start with the card that immediately improves your lineup. If you need a catcher or another offensive option, Ben Rice is a logical first target.
If third base is your biggest weakness, work toward Austin Riley.
After that, Chase Meidroth and Gavin Sheets can be completed based on your roster needs.
Once the shorter Wild Card Programs are finished, spend more time on the Retro Division Series Program and work toward Anthony Santander and its earlier rewards.
Should You Complete Every Program?
That depends on how you play Diamond Dynasty.
If you are focused on building the strongest possible lineup, prioritize cards that actually have a place on your team. There is little benefit in spending hours completing a Program for a position you already have covered.
If you are working toward Collections, however, completing more Programs becomes worthwhile because the additional player cards and rewards can contribute to your overall Diamond Dynasty progress.
There is also value in completing Programs gradually instead of trying to finish everything in one session.
The current MLB The Show 26 postseason content gives Diamond Dynasty players plenty to work on, but you do not need to grind every Program at once.
The Wild Card Programs are a good starting point because their 25-point paths are relatively quick to complete and each provides a 99 OVR postseason reward. Ben Rice, Austin Riley, Chase Meidroth, and Gavin Sheets are the main cards to consider based on your roster needs.
The Retro Division Series Program takes longer but offers several useful rewards on the way to Anthony Santander.
Complete the Moments first, build your lineup around the remaining missions, and stack as many Parallel XP objectives as possible in the same games. That way, every game moves multiple goals forward and your postseason grind becomes much more efficient.
