NBA 2k20 cover athletes are Anthony Davis and Dwyane Wade, so who will be on the cover of NBA 2k21? In this regard, we have predicted that the following stars could be on the cover of NBA 2K21.

Who Will Be on the Cover of NBA 2K21?

NBA 2K21 Cover Star: Could it be Kobe Bryant?

Kobe Bryant's glittering b-ball career encompassed five NBA championships, two NBA-finals MVP awards, one overall MVP awards, and adulation across the nation - indeed, the entire world.

With the Lakers during the regular season, Bryant had averages of 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. He was an 18-time All-Star, two-time Finals MVP, and the 2008 regular-season MVP. There will never be another Kobe Bryant. Little wonder, then, that his tragic passing immediately had fans clamoring to make him this year's cover star on social media.

With Bryant part of the league since the 1996 season, he became a regular within the NBA 2K basketball game series. For the NBA 2K10 edition, he graced the game's cover for the first time as the title's featured star. For that particular cover, fans voted on which Kobe image would go on the front.

Seven years later, Kobe was on another 2K cover. This time he was featured on the NBA 2K17 Legends edition since he had just retired from the game. He's been a part of the NBA 2K titles since then, appearing as a playable superstar for all-time teams or in the popular MyTeam mode.

With his posthumous election to the Basketball Hall of Fame made official earlier this month. There's already a strong feeling among the NBA 2K community that the NBA 2K21 cover should be used to honor the late Kobe Bryant.

Also, Los Angeles Lakers icon Shaquille O'Neal claims the late Kobe Bryant will be on the cover of NBA 2K21.

Time will tell if NBA 2K decides to listen to the community by honoring Kobe with the NBA 2K21 cover, or goes with another star to represent the next game.

NBA 2K21 Cover Star: Could it be Luka Doncic?

Except for Kobe Bryant, who's going to grace the cover of the regular edition of the game?

Taking a look at the players who have ascended to superstar status it seems like there's one clear and obvious choice - Luka Doncic.

Coming in at just 20-years-old, with just one season under his belt, he is breaking all the statistical records as he leads the Mavericks to one of the West's best records.

In the game, when Luka entered the season, he was rated at just 87 overall. A month into the season, his latest bump has him all the way up to 96. It marks one of the greatest ratings raises in 2k history. Indeed, Luka has cemented himself as not only an All-Star but one of the best players in the league. Averaging 30 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 9.2 assists on 47% shooting.

Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks took his skills to another level during the shortened season and was showing the world he may be the NBA's next big thing. He'd be an excellent choice for the cover.

NBA 2K21 Cover Star: Could it be LeBron James?

Who better to feature on the cover once again than the best player in the world? For 10 straight years, LeBron James has reigned supreme in 2K's NBA 2K basketball series. There's no denying that James has played the majority of his career at a superhuman level, dominating the competition with a combination of strength and wits.

While he's still averaging 25.7 points and 10.6 points per game this season, he has again suffered a groin injury. LeBron James is still an elite player who can take over ball games and raise the ability of the players around him.

LeBron James was most recently on the cover of the 2K19 Anniversary Edition. If the Lakers win the NBA Finals this year, LeBron will be a favorite to be the cover star.

NBA 2K21 Cover Star: Could it be Kawhi Leonard?

Last year's NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard made the decision to switch Canada for America in the offseason as he joined the Los Angeles Clippers.

Whilst the season so far may have not lived up to the hype that surrounded them coming into it, we all know what Kawhi is capable of when the playoffs arrive, and, with Paul George and co alongside him, he could well be set for a second consecutive ring.

If he helps lead Los Angeles Clippers to a title, after helping Toronto do so last year, he should be on the cover in some aspect without a doubt.

NBA 2K21 Cover Star: Could it be Giannis Antetokounmpo?

Giannis Antetokounmpo is very best that the NBA currently has to offer. He is the reigning MVP and hot favorite to make it back-to-back awards this year, his marketability continues to grow due to his ever-increasing popularity.

The reigning NBA MVP has spent all of his careers to date with the Bucks and has quickly become a fan favorite.

This Moments of the Week card came in week six of the NBA after Giannis dropped 50 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists in the 122-118 win over the Utah Jazz.

He is the NBA 2K19 cover athlete. Also, Giannis is eligible to sign a super-max contract in the summer and if he does – and he is expected too – then it makes sense to see the Freak back on the cover in 2K21.

NBA 2K21 Cover Star: Could it be Kevin Durant?

The Nets picked up Kevin Durant from the Warriors on a four-year contract, worth an estimated $164 million, somewhat of a gamble given Durant's recent injury troubles. The chances of Durant taking to the court this campaign are little to zero, with the Nets hoping that the 2014 MVP can recapture his old form from next season onwards.

Whilst KD and the Warriors may have failed with their quest for an elusive 'three-peat' last year, the Brooklyn Net's man could make it a third NBA 2K cover appearance in 2K21. Durant already has two previous covers under his belt - NBA 2K15 and NBA 2K17.
