Winterspring is a high-level zone located in the northeast of Kalimdor, north of Azshara and east of Felwood, characterized by its perpetual snow cover. This beautiful yet treacherous region is home to Night Elf settlements and the bustling goblin city of Everlook. Many players venture into Winterspring for various reasons, including Warlocks seeking Darkwhisper Gorge to acquire demons.

Accessing Winterspring

The primary way to enter Winterspring is through Timbermaw Hold, a tunnel guarded by the Timbermaw Tribe of Furbolgs.

Navigating Timbermaw Hold

Reputation: To pass through Timbermaw Hold without being attacked, players must reach at least "Unfriendly" status with the Timbermaw Furbolgs. This can be achieved by completing the Timbermaw Hold starting faction quests in Felwood or grinding through Deadwood Furbolgs.
Stealth: High-level Rogues or Mages can sneak through Timbermaw Hold using Stealth or Invisibility. Alchemists can also create potions that provide Invisibility for other classes.
Tunnel Directions: The north tunnel leads to Moonglade, while the east-southeast tunnel leads to Winterspring.

Timbermaw Hold Reputation Grind

Gaining reputation with the Timbermaw Hold is a lengthy process that yields valuable rewards.

Reaching "Unfriendly" status is sufficient to pass through the cave without being attacked. This can be achieved by completing two quests in Felwood and farming a few Furbolgs.
The Timbermaw Furbolgs reside in the cave between Felwood and Winterspring.
The grind from Revered to Exalted is as extensive as from Neutral to Revered.

Tips for Gaining Reputation

Save the Deadwood Ritual Totem quest for a 150 reputation reward.
Hand in 30 Runecloth for 100 reputation.
Tailors can trade 2 Mooncloth for 100 reputation once.
Each feather/bead is worth 10 reputation, with a 40% drop chance from higher-level Furbolgs near the cave in Felwood and Winterspring.
Alliance players can combine the grind with Winterspring Frostsaber reputation on the same mobs.
Completing the first kill quests in Felwood and Winterspring is required for feathers and beads to start dropping, respectively.

Winterspring offers several unique recipes that can be farmed from NPCs within the zone. These recipes have low drop rates but can be sold for high prices.
