Amplified Bettina is the Epic Heavy Ammo assault rifle after Quality V. The permanent fork is Bigger Mag (22 → 37, full-auto) versus Semi-Auto into X-Rounds (18-round semi-auto armor shred). Before you burn an Amplification Module Mk. IV from the ARC Raiders Items ladder, lock Gunsmith 4, Research Station 4, Bettina IV, and the research nodes you actually want—once a node activates it cannot be removed or changed.

Bettina is an Epic fully-automatic assault rifle: Heavy Ammo, Strong ARC armor penetration, base damage 16, fire rate 28.7 (250 RPM), magazine 22, range 52.3, weight 11.0. Sell steps climb 8,000 → 11,000 → 14,000 → 18,000 across I–IV. Craft Bettina I at Gunsmith 3 with a learned Bettina Blueprint plus 3 Advanced Mechanical Components, 3 Heavy Gun Parts, and 3 Canister. The ladder to IV adds fire rate and reload cuts: II +5% fire rate / 11.1% reduced reload / +10 durability; III +10% / 22.2% / +20; IV +15% / 33.3% / +30. Blueprint duplicates list at 5,000 Raider Coins after Learn and Consume—do not scrap a print you have not learned.
Quality V needs Gunsmith Level 4 and Research Station Level 4, then one Amplification Module Mk. IV because the weapon's base rarity is Epic. Modules drop from Fallen Emperor on Pendola Pass (Emperor Gateway Conduit) and from ARC Frigate cargo during the Frigate condition—the same Mk. IV farm mapped in the Frigate Amplification Module runs. Level 5 grants +70 max durability on every amplified weapon. Knocked-out Raiders drop amplified guns at 10% durability, and Level 5 repairs spend Amplified Fragments (Amplified Bettina lists 17 Fragments for a 50% repair). Recycle of the finished Level 5 rifle returns 10 Amplified Fragments; salvage returns 6. Sell value on the amplified frame lists 27,200.

Amplification nodes stay dark until the matching Research Station work is finished. Semi-Auto needs Trigger Reset Systems researched before the node accepts 3 Pneumatic Actuator. X-Rounds needs Embedded Blast Engineering researched and Semi-Auto already active before it accepts 3 Fossilized Lightning. Bigger Mag does not list a separate research title—once Level 5 is open it only spends 3 Pressure Regulator. Do the research bills first, then open the Level 5 install screen; installing Semi-Auto with X-Rounds research still unfinished strands you on an 18-round semi frame until the lightning farm finishes.
Keep the Mk. IV in a Safe Pocket until both benches show Level 4 and Bettina IV is the gun in the upgrade slot. A Module spent on the wrong rarity tier does not convert an Epic rifle—Bettina wants Mk. IV specifically, not the Mk. III stack reserved for Rare frames.
Bigger Mag costs 3 Pressure Regulator and adds +15 magazine size, taking the stock 22 rounds to 37 while the rifle stays fully automatic. Damage, fire mode, and handling stay on the IV baseline. The node conflicts with Semi-Auto, so Path A permanently closes Path B on that gun. Take Bigger Mag when reloads—not armor DPS—are what end your armored ARC strings and you want to keep full-auto cadence. Bank the three regulators before you open the Level 5 tree so the install is one session, not a second Frigate dig mid-fork.
Path A keeps the IV fire-rate ladder (+15% at IV) and the 250 RPM baseline feel. The trade is that you forfeit the X-Rounds armor bonus forever on that frame. If your squad already carries a Path B Anvil or another armor stripper, Path A Bettina becomes the sustained Heavy Ammo hose that covers reloads for the plate-breaker.
Semi-Auto (research Trigger Reset Systems) costs 3 Pneumatic Actuator. It converts the trigger to semi-automatic, adds +3 base damage, cuts max shot dispersion 20%, and reduces fire rate 20%. It conflicts with Bigger Mag.
X-Rounds (research Embedded Blast Engineering) requires Semi-Auto already active and costs 3 Fossilized Lightning. It adds another +3 base damage, 25% increased damage vs ARC armor, 20% increased vertical and horizontal recoil, 30% reduced bullet velocity, and −4 magazine size. Finished Path B is an 18-round semi-auto armor stripper with +6 base damage stacked and Strong penetration still on the sheet. Fossilized Lightning storm pickups sit on the Fossilized Lightning strike pickup loop—bank three shards before you open Embedded Blast Engineering so the X-Rounds install does not stall after Semi-Auto is already locked.

Path B is the Matriarch / Queen plate tool on a mid-range AR silhouette. The fire-rate cut and recoil bump are real—pair the install with attachment III work in the next section before you take the rifle into a contested Frigate upper deck. Do not install Semi-Auto “to try the feel” unless the three lightning shards are already extracted; the conflict lock does not wait for your farming schedule.
The two paths are exclusive. Bigger Mag conflicts with Semi-Auto and with X-Rounds. Path B stacks Semi-Auto then X-Rounds. There is no 37-round X-Rounds Bettina on one frame. Run the wider Amplification system through the same Quality V Amplification unlock steps first—Bettina still needs Trigger Reset Systems researched before Semi-Auto lights, and Embedded Blast Engineering before X-Rounds lights.
| Path | Nodes | Magazine / mode | Key modifiers | Materials |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Path A | Bigger Mag | 37 / full-auto | +15 mag only | 3 Pressure Regulator |
| Path B | Semi-Auto → X-Rounds | 18 / semi-auto | +6 base damage total; +25% vs ARC armor; more recoil; −30% bullet velocity | 3 Pneumatic Actuator + 3 Fossilized Lightning |
For Matriarch / Queen armor plates and other heavy ARC mid-range work, Path B matches Strong penetration plus the X-Rounds armor bonus. For mixed Raider pressure where you refuse the semi-auto fire-rate cut and want the 37-round belt, Path A is the surviving full-auto build. Spend the Mk. IV only after the research icons for your chosen nodes are already green and the material stacks are already in stash.
Path B adds recoil and cuts bullet speed, so Extended Barrel III (muzzle: +30% bullet velocity, +15% distance until falloff, +15% vertical recoil) claws velocity back when paired with Vertical Grip III (underbarrel: −40% vertical recoil, −30% ADS speed) and Stable Stock III (stock: −50% recoil recovery duration, −50% dispersion recovery time, +20% equip/unequip time). Path A keeps full-auto strings—run the same grip/stock stack to hold the 37-round dump on target. Carry two to three Heavy Ammo stacks; Path B wants controlled singles at range, Path A bursts into the larger mag. Compensator III is the alternate muzzle if you already own velocity and need dispersion control more than falloff stretch (60% reduced per-shot dispersion, 30% reduced max shot dispersion, 20% increased durability burn rate).
Gunsmith 3 crafts those Tier III mods from Mod Components and the listed consumables—build the stack while the Mk. IV farm is still running so the Level 5 rifle leaves the bench already dressed. Lightweight Stock and Kinetic Converter fight Path B’s recoil profile; leave them off this frame unless you are deliberately trading recovery for ADS speed.
Amplified Anvil is a Rare hand cannon on Amplification Module Mk. III with its own X-Rounds / Anvil Splitter fork—different Mark, different magazine, different job. Amplifying Bettina does not spend the same Mk. III bank Anvil wants. If your stash already holds a Path B Bettina and you still need a precise high-headshot hand cannon, that is a second slot and a separate module farm, not a respec of this rifle. Keep learned ARC Raiders BluePrints for Bettina on the craft side of the ledger before you recycle a duplicate print for coins.
Wrong Mark: spending Mk. III while Bettina IV sits in the slot—Epic frames want Mk. IV. Research dark: installing Semi-Auto before Trigger Reset Systems finishes, or opening X-Rounds before Embedded Blast Engineering and the three lightning shards are banked. Mag greed: expecting Bigger Mag and X-Rounds on one rifle—the conflict list blocks that combination. Durability blind: extracting a knockout-drop amplified Bettina at 10% without 17 Fragments ready for a 50% repair. Anvil confusion: treating Bettina’s X-Rounds numbers as Anvil’s X-Rounds numbers—Bettina’s path is +3 / +3 with −4 mag after Semi-Auto, not Anvil’s hand-cannon sheet.
Queue the Mk. IV only when Bettina IV, both Level 4 benches, Path A or Path B research, and the material bill are ready in the same session—then extract the finished Level 5 rifle with Fragment stock already banked for a 10% durability knockout. Lock the fork you will still want after the next Matriarch plate, not the fork that looks flashy on the tree for five minutes.
