Finding a blueprint in ARC Raiders can take several raids, especially when the item only appears under a specific map condition. Canto, Dolabra, Surge Coil, and Tempest each have different acquisition methods, so choosing the right activity before deploying can save time and equipment.
Whether you want to craft a new weapon or unlock a useful deployable, here is how to farm these four blueprints and what to prioritize during each run.
Canto Blueprint: Search First Wave Raider Caches
The Canto is a fully automatic submachine gun that uses Medium Ammo. Its blueprint can be found in First Wave Raider Caches during the Hurricane map condition.
Before deploying, check the available map conditions. If Hurricane is active, head toward likely cache locations and listen carefully for the sound of buried caches. Strong winds can make these audio cues harder to hear, so search methodically rather than rushing across the map.
Once you locate a cache, open it and check the contents. The Canto Blueprint is not guaranteed, and other Raiders may be searching for the same reward.
You can also obtain a Canto I by completing Tian Wen's Collision Course quest. This provides an alternative if you would rather progress through a quest than rely entirely on random blueprint drops.
Best approach: Prioritize First Wave Raider Caches during Hurricane, or complete Collision Course if you still have the quest available.
Dolabra Blueprint: Breach ARC Assessors
The Dolabra is a Legendary Energy Shotgun introduced in the Flashpoint update. Its blueprint is obtained from ARC Assessors during the Close Scrutiny map condition.
When Close Scrutiny is active, locate an ARC Assessor and approach carefully. These platforms are dangerous, and other Raiders may arrive to compete for the same loot. Each Assessor has three breachable containers, giving you multiple opportunities to find the blueprint.
The Dolabra Blueprint is not guaranteed, so you may need to repeat the activity across several raids.
Bring a practical loadout and plan your escape before opening the containers. If you find the blueprint, secure it in your Safe Pocket when possible and prioritize extraction.
Once unlocked, crafting the Dolabra requires Gunsmith Level 3 and the following ARC Raiders Materials:
These materials can take additional time to collect, particularly if you are still working on the required crafting stations and resources.
Best approach: Focus on Close Scrutiny and search all three Assessor containers whenever you have a safe opportunity.
Surge Coil Blueprint: Farm During Electromagnetic Storms
The Surge Coil is a deployable electrical trap that periodically releases electric pulses, briefly stunning nearby ARC enemies and Raiders. It can be useful for controlling narrow approaches, protecting a position, or creating an opportunity to escape.
To obtain its blueprint, enter a raid with the Electromagnetic Storm condition active. The blueprint can appear in containers, including lockers, drawers, cupboards, and industrial crates. There is no single guaranteed spawn location.
Dam Battlegrounds is one place to begin, but the blueprint can appear in different containers, so avoid relying on a single building.
Search containers along a compact route and check locked rooms when you have the required access. Keep an eye on nearby threats, since spending too long looting can leave you vulnerable.
Once you obtain the blueprint, you can craft the Surge Coil at Explosives Station Level 3. The recipe requires:
Best approach: Loot containers during Electromagnetic Storms and prioritize efficient routes over repeatedly searching one location.
Tempest Blueprint: Hurricane or Night Raid
The Tempest is a fully automatic assault rifle that uses Medium Ammo. Its blueprint can be found during Hurricane and Night Raid conditions, giving you two farming options.
Hurricane
During Hurricane, search First Wave Raider Caches. This is a focused method if you are comfortable locating buried caches and want to make the most of the weather condition.
Listen for cache audio cues and search carefully. Because the blueprint is a random drop, opening one cache does not guarantee success.
Night Raid
If Night Raid is active instead, Buried City is a useful starting point because its residential and commercial areas contain many searchable containers.
Focus on dense buildings rather than traveling long distances between isolated loot spots. Residential containers are particularly relevant to the Tempest Blueprint, so prioritize them when planning your route.
The blueprint is not guaranteed in either condition. If you fail to find it during one raid, adjust your route or try again when the relevant condition returns.
Best approach: Search First Wave Raider Caches during Hurricane, or farm residential containers during Night Raid.
Which Blueprint Should You Farm First?
Your best target depends on the equipment you want to unlock and the map conditions currently available.
| Blueprint | Where to Look | Recommended Priority |
| Canto | First Wave Raider Caches during Hurricane | A good target for SMG users |
| Dolabra | ARC Assessor containers during Close Scrutiny | Prioritize if you want an Energy Shotgun |
| Surge Coil | Containers during Electromagnetic Storms | Useful for players who want a deployable trap |
| Tempest | First Wave Caches during Hurricane or residential containers during Night Raid | A strong target for assault rifle users |
If you want a Canto, start with Hurricane caches or complete Collision Course. For the Dolabra, wait for Close Scrutiny and prepare for the Assessor encounter. Surge Coil farming is more flexible because you can search different containers during Electromagnetic Storms. For Tempest, choose between Hurricane and Night Raid based on the available conditions.
Tips for Farming Blueprints Efficiently
Check map conditions before every raid. Entering the right activity is often more important than searching a particular location.
Match your route to the blueprint. First Wave Caches, ARC Assessors, and ordinary containers have different loot pools. Avoid spending an entire raid searching the wrong source.
Use a practical loadout. A blueprint run is about finding and securing an item. Bring enough equipment to survive, but avoid risking expensive gear unnecessarily.
Secure valuable loot immediately. If the ARC Raiders BluePrints can be placed in your Safe Pocket, do so. Otherwise, prioritize a safe extraction instead of continuing to search for extra items.
Expect random drops. None of these methods guarantees a blueprint in every raid. A focused route improves your efficiency, but persistence is still part of the process.
Canto, Dolabra, Surge Coil, and Tempest each require a different farming strategy in ARC Raiders. Hurricane caches are the key target for Canto, Close Scrutiny Assessors are essential for Dolabra, Electromagnetic Storm containers are the main source for Surge Coil, and Tempest can be pursued during either Hurricane or Night Raid.
Check the map conditions before deploying, focus on the correct loot sources, and leave safely when you find the blueprint you need. This approach helps you spend less time searching blindly and more time unlocking the equipment you want to use.
