The anticipation for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is at an all-time high, and thanks to multiple early reveals and interviews, we now have our first look at Season 1 gameplay content. According to Treyarch, this will be the biggest content drop in Black Ops history, surpassing both Black Ops 6 and Cold War. Here’s everything we know so far about BO7 Season 1, including the release window, new maps, Warzone integration, Zombies content, and more.
Based on Treyarch’s release patterns, Black Ops 7 officially launches on November 14, 2025, with Season 1 expected to drop between December 4 and December 11. This timing gives players about three weeks to complete the campaign, rank up in multiplayer, and explore Zombies before the massive seasonal update.
The Season 1 Reloaded update is expected to arrive after the holidays, similar to how Black Ops 6 handled its early-year updates.
One of the most exciting additions is the new Endgame mode — a 32-player open-world extraction-style experience that unlocks after completing the campaign’s 11 missions. Players will tackle Tier 2–4 zones filled with objectives, bosses, and Easter eggs, all taking place on Avalon.
Treyarch confirmed Endgame will receive support through at least Season 3, featuring new bosses, challenges, and POI updates — similar to Outbreak and Modern Warfare Zombies.
Season 1 will introduce two new points of interest (POIs) to Verdansk, including:
Players can also look forward to a brand-new Resurgence map, Havens Hollow, expanding on Liberty Falls from BO6 Zombies. This map includes nine POIs and is slightly larger than Rebirth Island but smaller than Fortune’s Keep. It integrates key locations like the Liberty Falls town and Shattered Veil mansion, offering both verticality and intense close-quarters combat.
Treyarch has confirmed three Zombies maps arriving in Season 1:
Fans can also expect the return of Widow’s Wine and Mule Kick, along with new augments and abilities. Additional support for Dead Ops Arcade 4 and Ashes of the Damned is also confirmed.
Treyarch has already revealed several classic multiplayer maps returning in Season 1:
Meanwhile, Nuketown 2025 will return in a preseason update, likely around Thanksgiving.
Ranked play for multiplayer and Warzone won’t launch until Season 2, expected in late January or early February. Treyarch also teased new “20v20 Skirmish” maps, potentially leading to the return of larger-scale modes like Fireteam.
As expected, Season 1’s Battle Pass will feature a new lead Operator and BlackCell premium tier. Players who purchase the Vault Edition of BO7 will automatically receive the Season 1 BlackCell Pass.
Weekly challenges across campaign, multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone will debut alongside the first Season 1 weapon — the Ballistic Knife.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 is shaping up to be the largest and most ambitious update in the franchise’s history. From a brand-new Endgame mode and Warzone integration to multiple Zombies maps and classic multiplayer returns, Treyarch is delivering an unprecedented amount of content to kick off the post-launch cycle.
