Diablo 4's Season 7, called the "Season of Witchcraft," brings many exciting new abilities called Witchcraft Powers. Among these, the Lost Witchcraft Powers are very special because they are rare and hard to find. In this article, we will explain what these powers are, how to get them, and tips to help you find them more easily.

List of Lost Witchcraft Powers

Lost Witchcraft Powers are a subset of abilities in the Season of Witchcraft that offer significant enhancements to character builds. Unlike standard Witchcraft Powers, which can be unlocked through progression and currency, Lost Powers are hidden and require players to discover them within the game world. There are four known Lost Witchcraft Powers:

NameDescription
Breath of the Coven
  • Dealing damage or applying a Crowd Control effect with any of your Witchcraft Effects increases your Attack Speed by X for 10 Seconds, stacking once per unique Witchcraft Effect.
  • Witchcraft Effects are Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth & Decay.
  • At Rank 8: Gain 40% Lucky Hit chance while bonuses from Eldritch, Psyche, Growth & Decay are active at once.
Hex Specialization
  • Increase the potency of your Hex Effects by X.
  • At Rank 10: Increase the Critical Strike Chance by 10% against enemies afflicted by your Hex Effects.

  • At Rank 10: Increase the Critical Strike Damage by 50% against enemies inside your Aura Effects.
Piranhado
  • When an enemy is afflicted by both a Hex and an Aura Effect, a Piranhado is summoned pulling enemies towards it and dealing X Physical damage over 12 seconds. May occur once every 20 seconds.
  • At Rank 5: Piranhado moves itself towards nearby enemies.

How to get Lost Witchcraft Powers in Season 7

To obtain these elusive powers, players must locate Forgotten Altars scattered throughout Sanctuary. These altars spawn randomly within various dungeons, including:

  • Nightmare Dungeons: High-tier dungeons offering increased challenges and rewards.
  • Roothold Dungeons: Newly introduced in the Season of Witchcraft.
  • The Pit: A time-constrained endgame dungeon that unlocks different levels of Torment difficulty.

The spawn rates for Forgotten Altars vary based on the dungeon's Torment level:

  • Torment 1: 1% chance
  • Torment 2: 2% chance
  • Torment 3: 3% chance
  • Torment 4: 5% chance

Given these low probabilities, players are encouraged to explore higher Torment levels to improve their chances.

Tips to Maximize Your Chances

  1. Increase Difficulty: Playing on higher Torment levels not only enhances the challenge but also boosts the likelihood of encountering Forgotten Altars.
  2. Use Draught of Whispers Elixir: This consumable doubles the chance of finding Forgotten Altars in dungeons. It can be obtained from Whisper Caches, Coven Caches, and Exposed Roots in Headhunt zones.
  3. Frequent Dungeon Runs: Regularly completing dungeons, especially Nightmare and Roothold variants, increases the opportunities to stumble upon Forgotten Altars.

In Diablo 4's Season 7, the Lost Witchcraft Powers have become some of the most sought-after features, alongside powerful Diablo 4 items. These rare powers, combined with well-chosen items, can greatly enhance your character’s strength and abilities. To unlock their full potential, players need to explore dungeons, fight tough enemies, and collect valuable Diablo 4 Items that complement these unique powers. Finding the right combination of items and Lost Witchcraft Powers is key to building a powerful character in the game.
