Player ratings are always controversial around NBA fans, but we still don't have official NBA 2K22 ratings just yet. To satisfy fans' curiosity, we have made predictions on the top five players and their ratings in NBA 2K22 based on the league's current players' performance.

Nikola Jokic - 97 OVR

Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic, who won the Most Valuable Player award this year, holds a 96 OVR rating in NBA 2K21. After this season, however, don't be shocked if he takes the mantle of the top-rated player in NBA 2K22. Being the first center to win the MVP is definitely worthy of an extra point.

Giannis Antetokounmpo - 98 OVR

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo is another worthy candidate for the number one spot. He's led the Bucks to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1974 and leads the team in points and rebounds. A 97 or 98 overall NBA 2K22 rating isn't out of the question for Giannis as a result.

Stephen Curry - 97 OVR

Stephen Curry

Nobody expected Stephen Curry to go off like he did this season. The Warriors were in trouble without Klay Thompson all year, but Curry gave the team life. He averaged 32.0 PPG on 48.2% from the field and 42.1% from three, incredible numbers for a player who has to take almost all the shots for his team. Therefore, his 97 points in NBA 2k22 are worthwhile.

LeBron James - 96 OVR

LeBron James

Longtime kings of the court like LeBron James and Stephen Curry sit at the top of the mountain with 97 overall ratings. But The King has been surpassed this season, mainly because of his age. LeBron has a ridiculous amount of mileage on his legs after 18 seasons, and it clearly showed in the playoffs. Therefore, LeBron will likely not be the best player in NBA 2K22, and he may rank fourth with a score of 96.

Kevin Durant - 96 OVR

Kevin Durant

With LeBron out of the playoffs and every other superstar dealing with inconsistencies, Kevin Durant is playing the best basketball of his life. Durant is averaging a career-high 33.1 PPG this season, which includes a ridiculous 49-point performance in Game 5 against the Bucks. Durant played all 48 minutes that game and grabbed 17 rebounds while dishing 10 assists. In a nutshell, Durant had the best game of his career. Therefore, his score in NBA 2K22 may be 96.
